Why hasn't anything been done yet to fix the Aquariums fish inventory problem? We can't see fish in the inventory, only black boxes. Unable to see fish unless you drag them over into the aquarium. Also unable to equip aquarium decorations. It started around April 24th.

Change the fullbody avis back to headshots in posts/threads?
I know that everybody wanted their avis to be shown in full in their posts and threads on the mobile forums, but for people who have smaller phones (mine is 4.5 inches) the avatar takes up so much space, making it more tedious than it needs to be when scrolling through comments. The previous version with the headshot was much better, and if you want to see the fullbody you can just click the info button next to people's names anyway.
So please, either change it back or give us the option to make it fullbody or headshot!

Any chance we can get an auto-grant for the login gift similar to when we have the stamps or have some sort or secondary grant page? I've lost out on several of my streaks due to either the internet glitching out while Gaia is loading or the popup cuts out half of the week on my phone and I'm unable to click to claim my gold and I HATE missing out on my streaks even though I've been logged in and at least popping around every day. sweatdrop sweatdrop sweatdrop

Lanzer, would you ever consider updating and improving the invite friends feature? As a grad student in apparel, merchandising, textile, and design, I have been learning much about social media.

In particular, word of mouth and friends inviting other members are some of the most important and successful aspects to growing a website.

Help us all by letting us help you! This would help decrease strain among a small amount of members to buy Gcash. Profits can expand and be spread out more with increased, new users.

Here is a proposed concept I drew for inspiration


Why would a better referral program be good for Gaia?
-Lifts some of the burden off the admins by allowing users to recruit more members.
-By having the ability to refer friends (not just through email), Gaia's user database could increase.
-An increased database puts less strain on current members (hopefully less strenuous advertising, less emphasis on encouraging a small amount of members to buy large amounts of Gaia cash, more revenue spread throughout more users, etc).
-A better referral program ultimately continues to spread Gaia's reach onto other forms of social media (Facebook, instagram, etc).
-A better referral program would hopefully include more/better rewards (similar to the stars you gain from buying Gcash, a similar system could be beneficial and also re-release some older items or new ones. Aka a tier system).
-More users means more friends!
-More users means more friends to interact with on games and forums!
-More users means that Gaia can hopefully gain more funds to continue improving the site and making it run better!

My Bug Thread
Hello staff! I have had a broken trade on this account for MULTIPLE weeks. Then one day it suddenly completed, but neither myself nor the other person received the 50 items that were in the trade. The trade retrieval tool does nothing. Can someone get the items back?

Question: My question is, throughout the years Gaia user's have been quitting, thus in result of their items being kept and less availability in the marketplace. I have looked up many item's in the marketplace and kept track through my wish list and it's been almost 6 months since the item was last on sale or even in the market. Will you guys start making new item's and putting it in the Marketplace for users like me who cannot find a single item's I'm questing/designing? Or will the marketplace continue for months without certain items being available?

Thanks for the info (and the coming updates)! Just wanted to clarify my question: I meant, are capsules going to be updated with different RIGs on a set schedule? It'd be a good way to re-release older items that people have been requesting. You know, if they're in preexisting RIGs. If you don't know right now, no worries! I know it's a new feature... just something that I was wondering about.

a couple of weeks ago the issue was brought up where users cannot go to specific post only the top of the page
2 weeks later its still broken, when will the issue be fixed or addressed? its irritating many users they cant go to the direct post in forums or guilds

I notified Jak Bauer of the error. It says I need to check the consent box and fill in my password, which I did. I get an error every time, across everything under the sun. He said he'd tell the developers but I never heard back. neutral

Any plans to limit inflation in the marketplace? I love gaia and I love the MP but watching every unlisted item soar 300% is really discouraging. I would love to see a HARD limit enforced.

Registration page and Avatar Starters

Hello, when will we get a new updated registration page? Since we got a new mobile app I think we should definitely get a new registration page, or may even a new home page as well to go with it! Also should have new avatars to make it more appealing for newcomers.

Thats not what i was asking. When a rig is out and lets say i buy 200 copies and someone else buys 1 copy and pulls a ticket then my 200 rigs will not have that ticket in it. Even if someone buys the rig and gets the ticket then i go buy the rigs i have no way of knowing if that rig has already had its ticket claimed. So you are advertising a chance to get a ticket when it has already been claimed. In a logical world this would result in false advertising since the advertised item is no longer avalible.

Forum Bug

In the Battlefields forum some of us have found that we suddenly can't attack/heal others in the thread. I am part of a team, aren't dead and have the mp when this occurs. I've noticed that the team icon below my hp bar is blank as if I'm a spectator. It seems to be happen randomly and when it does happen I seem to be only bugged in that thread. I can attack/heal if I join other threads.

Could someone look into this please?

Any news on when anchor posts are going to be fixed? Directly linking posts has been broken for a long while now, throughout many features on the site. I've tested between many different browsers, on both mobile and desktop, and between browsers with extensions and with vanilla browsers, and it's broken on all of them.

LK App (Rolling Bunnies)

Is the Rolling Bunnies app, Lake Kindred Origins, dead in the water?

If not, it really needs some balancing, as it's very hard to get energy for blue seeds (even with lvl 100 garden and lvl 84 tree, and all kins maxed). Tapping only gives 1.2 A, which is useless, and idle energy is too low.

Update the GCash sale price of items listed in the Marketplace.

I am specifically referring to the option of purchasing Marketplace (vend) listings with GCash that was introduced in the past year or two, though it's not discounting that the GCash value of Gold Shop items also need updating. I initially wrote this up on 26 March 2019, so the items/values are true to that date and are just for example purposes.

This option is still available but with the current item values, it's a mostly useless feature for items. Some people avoid including a GCash value on some anti-money principle, and others (myself included) currently avoid using the feature because the high GCash value currently attached to listings make an item appear overpriced and deter potential buyers. Take this item currently listed in the Cash Shop:

This is showing a price of "$90" for an item that is currently going for "$4.10" in the Cash Shop. I get that the GCash price in the vend isn't intended to compete with the GCash price in the shops, it's there for convenience for people who don't have/don't want to spend gold for listed items, but the GCash per gold/plat amount value for the vend still needs to be reevaluated because I can't imagine anyone would want to spend $90 for that item even at a point in the future where the item may be less available.

There is another end to it, too, where it makes things a bit tricky, because you consider items like Nyamond that are currently listed for 10b/1k plat, where the current GCash rate for that is 200/$2.00. Marketplace listing: https://www.gaiaonline.com/marketplace/itemdetail/10474777



Currently we're looking at 1gc per 50m/5plat. One option to consider, and what I believe would be more worthwhile, is having the conversion rate based on the marketplace value of the 200GC Giftcard (https://www.gaiaonline.com/marketplace/admin/?item_id=10345633&day_id=1295240195) even if it meant the rate needed to be manually adjusted on a weekly or so basis:

Average Buy Price of the 200 GCash Giftcard at the time of writing this, values 200GC at 28kplat/280b, though I forgot to include that data in the screenshot.

So, with the going rate on 26 March 2019:
28000plat divided by 200GC is 140plat (1.4bil gold).
This values 140plat as 1GC.

While it's not currently good for items like Nyamond, which would value the item at 7.14GC for the 10b gold (1000 plat) listing price, it believe it would ultimately increase its gold/plat value to even out a bit more with a more reasonable GCash amount.

Going back to the Bubby Cozy For Mew item, a 50k plat (500b gold) listing would go for 357gc, which, while less than the 410gc it is currently listed at in the Cash shop, is still closer to the GCash price in the store. For the sake of items whose GCash values in the vend would challenge their current Cash Shop values, I believe that either the gold prices would adjust until they even out or exceed that, OR, people would start stocking up on GCash cards and incorporating GCash into their vending habits, giving even those who don't actually spend money on the site a fund and competitive way to use up some the GCash in the system.

Having more consistent GCash values across the board could also open the door to making it easier to implement/offer an additional option to directly purchase an item with money that would bypass the need to buy GCash to make purchases. If Gaia can ask users to make direct purchases to get the monthly Gaia Pledges, why not have that option available for the rest of the site? Maybe, when clicking, "buy with GCash" there could be an option to either spend GCash that currently on the account or buy the item directly through Paypal or another approved payment option. This would be good for some people whose decision to spend money on the site that day might come down to that they don't want to buy 500gc to buy a 220gc item.

One option for maintaining the conversion rate outside of having someone manually adjust it would be having something in place that runs automatically once a day. Using my suggestion above, it would update the conversion rate based on the 200GC Giftcard's current going rate, where 1GC = 0.5% of that item's ABP (if I am doing my math correctly). We as users already determine the value of Gaia Cash by how much we buy/sell it for in the vend and exchange, so adjusting the GCash price of these listings is a part of keeping that system consistent across the board.

Disclaimer: I am your targeted audience here, but I think it would be beneficial across the board. I don't have a lot of interest in items, but I have enjoyed collecting things like flairs and I still find items on the vend that catch my interest. Being able to more easily spend GCash on items in the Marketplace is another option for people who don't have a lot of interest in current releases in the the Cash Shops to earn stars to exchange for rewards.

Can there be an increase in the number of tags a thread has? 5 is rather small, especially for when someone is covering all the new item releases in the day.

can we please get a re-release of Saiphic Freshly Risen? it was so rare a get from the RIG that it practically doesn't exist. i've never seen it being sold, anywhere., ever. T__T

Features: Wishlist

Can we be notified when a wishlisted item is for sale in one of the Cash Shops?

We currently have the option to turn on a notice to let us know when an item we have wishlisted is on sale in the Marketplace, but it doesn't tell me if there's a way to obtain the item elsewhere. If I know that the item that I've had my eye on is available in one of these shops, I can either buy it directly from the shop, find someone to sell me the item, or pay closer attention to the Marketplace for a reasonable listing.
