This thread is my attempt at a tutorial in how to save items in the outfit slots (aka Closet) in the Customize Avatar (aka Dressing Room) area of gaia.
1.) Finding the outfit slots. In the Dressing Room, outfits are located at the bottom left of your categorized inventory to the right of your avatar.

To open, simply click on the word, the little dresser icon, or the arrow. As long as you click in the general vicinity, the outfits box will open.
2.) The outfit slots. Every gaian starts with five outfit slots.

- Note: These slots are useful for not only holding your designs, but for information about your items, overall worth of your design, and selling outfits in the Outfit Shop in the Marketplace.

2.1.) Buying outfit slots. As you build your closet, you will need to purchase more slots.
- Up to slot 100: 25 Gaia Cash per slot.
Afterwards the pricing changes:
1,400,000,000 gold (140 platinum): slots 101 - 150
2,000,000,000 gold (200 platinum): slots 151 - 200
(This price is per slot. ie Slot 101 + Slot 102= 280 platinum; Slot 151 + Slot 152 = 400 platinum)

3.) Saving an outfit. Saving an outfit is super easy! Under each slot is a text box, under which is a Save button. Name your outfit (or keyboard smash like I do), then hit Save.

- Note: You will notice that the avatar you just saved also pops up in the next slot. Not to worry! The empty slots act like mirrors in a real life dressing room: they will reflect whatever you have in the design spot.

4.) Making another build. To start a new outfit, simply select "Get Nekkid!", located under base poses in the design spot.

You can also choose to Save your new build to immediately show off publicly, or Reset to reequip your current saved avatar and items.

- Note:At this time, it is not possible to edit a built within the same outfit slot. You can click on the saved avi, make edits, then save that avi into an empty outfit spot. Then, once you are sure it is saved, you can delete the original, unedited build.
- If you do not have enough slots, you will have to delete the original and save the newly edited version in the vacated slot (your avi will not be deleted from the design spot during this process - even if you have to refresh or navigate away from the page).
I hope this tutorial was helpful to any of our newcomers (or just a nice read for our veteran designers). Please let me know if I missed anything or if anyone has any other questions/suggestions for tutorials!
All the best - IS yum_puddi
