For one, I'm beginning to wonder if, perhaps the increase in depression and anxiety over the years may partly be man-made. Here's what I mean.
It has been increasing insanely over the past few years. Lives are lost to mental disorders. Could there be something in the water...? In the food?
In a way, there is some truth in this. So many people flush their unwanted medications down the drain rather than taking them to be properly disposed of. If in city limits, this water may be directed towards a water treatment facility. While the facility is able to screen out larger items and use various procedures to turn the remaining liquid back into drinkable water, it isn't able to catch everything - including certain chemicals within medications. The water is then transported back out for usage... either in direct use or used to water plants/crops. ((I did a tour of a water treatment facility a few years back during one of my college classes, so that's why I know a bit about this.))
With the combination of various diluted medications in the water, it's hard to say what negative side effects humans are being impacted by. In a way, everyone is having their own watered-down medication cocktail.
