When Wynter had followed her home on Winter Solstice, Cassandra had gotten in the habit of walking the spectrefox on the daily. Such a large animal would need a lot of exercise, ghostly appearance or not. When the Hunter's Jubilee came around and with it, she acquired three more friends, her routine changed again. Thankfully, she didn't have to walk Amethyst, as the Gem-Crusted Torti was content to move slowly around her dorm. As for her other pets, like Chipper, her Flitterat and Aqua, her Fennekin... There was more adjustments to be made. Chipper was happy to fly around her dorm until he was exhausted, but given that made it more challenging to study, she found that she took him out on the walks she went on with Wynter and Aqua.
Which is what they were doing, in the early afternoon light. They were taking a longer stroll, further away from the grounds of the university that day. Wynter taking the lead. Under Wynter's paws, scurried Chipper. Beside Cassandra, walked Aqua. Aqua was as active as a familiar as Wynter seemed to be, but Cassandra found that on every walk they went on, no matter how long or short, whenever they turned back to return home, Aqua would scream at Cassandra until she was picked up and carried all the way home. Cassandra had yet to figure out how to train her out of it.
Well, I don't have to worry about it too much, just now. Cassandra reasoned with herself. After all, we haven't turned back just yet. Indeed, they had a while more to go, if she was going to properly walk these critters of hers.
