It was like being in a dusty sandy Hell hole. Each and every step he took felt like torture. It was good that they both had gotten out of the forest, but it was horrible that they both would end up in the desert after a good distance of walking. Uuuugh.... Whatever forsaken god out there that created this valley.... I HATE them!! Inari would complain as he kept on trudging. He truly hated the fact that he was even in the desert in general. It was hot, dusty, dry, and the nights were just the worse. The thing was that they had to get as far as they could before night falls. Inari hoped that Lara and Kiana, as well as Tiny and Allura would be keeping up fine. Yet in reality, it was Inari that should be keeping up. Inari had been soaked with sweat for the longest while, and he was shirtless, hoping to cover his head with his shirt after taking off the chest plate. This was just like the hellish training he endured with Kamui. So how are you guys holding up back there? He asked.

tabThe walk towards the badlands from the beastmen town was a bit further than expected, and even though Kiana expected it not too much long of a distance, it more clearly was. And to add worst scenario on top of which, it was excessively smoking hot. A dry desert, the sun burning everything it's rays touched. This was truly an awful place, as the name suggested bad lands. Kiana faltered through the waste lands as she barely kept up, fanning herself with her hand. Even as Inari asked how she and Lara were holding up, she could hardly keep it together. ""Not..well..here. I thought you said it'd be cold, I would of prepared better if I knew we were walking into heat." She complained, sweat dripping down the sides of her head. Atleast she was still wearing her outfit from the bar so it wasn't the worst thing in the world to wear out here, but she couldn't just rip her top off here, since she was a female. Sometimes, guys were lucky they could do that. This place was butt ugly, no sight seeing here, even if she wanted to. "How far is it now? The sooner we get out of this miserable heat, the better." Right now, Kiana would kill for some nice breezy air, maybe some nice water, oh to dream.

Venturing through the forest was all well for Lara. Forest lands had been her home for the vast majority of her life, so that was something she was quite used to. She made a point to hunt and gather during their time there to stock up on needed resources. In her bag she now had some leftover meat that she had basically cooked into a jerky form, some herbs for medicines, and of course some water. Unfortunately, Lara's water was running out since she had to give most of it to Allura and Tiny. Being giant balls of fur they ran the risk of suffering heat stroke out hear and her concern for them lead her to be bitter about the whole situation. As a result, she had gone completely silent hours ago after b*tching about how they should have taken a different route.
After a long time of complete silence Inari spoke up, and with Lara already being in a sour mood because of the heat she was not exactly in a chatty mood. "How am I 'holding up?' Let's see here, it is a million degrees out, Allura and Tiny are basically all fur so they have a good chance of dying from heat stroke, and I myself have never travelled through a desert because I'm not dumb enough to subject myself to this bullsh*t! So I'm doing peachy! THANKS FOR ASKING!" she yelled before crossing her arms and letting out a loud frustrated huff. Sweat covered her face and left wet patches on various parts of her clothes. Was it an attractive look? No. But Lara was never one to care for looks much anyway. But comfort was of importance to her and right now she felt anything but that.

"Well well! What do we have here? Some lost travelers?!" A raspy voice could be heard not far off in the distance behind the group. Accompanied by the sound of laughing and several other footsteps. A small group of bandits perhaps? No, far worse. "You must've taken a wrong turn somewhere!" A large lizard like beast standing 8 feet tall was walking towards the group of heroes, following him 2 monsters of various shapes and sizes. None of them human. Grotesque low-tier demons approached them, weapons drawn and nearly foaming at the mouth. "Look at t-t-t-t-that one! She c-c-c-c-c-could be worth a pret- a pret- apret-." A smaller, deformed monster attempted to speak, but couldn't through his stutter, standing only at about 5 feet. "A pretty penny." A bulky, half dragon half bull demon spat out. Interrupted his inferior. "Grab the beastman, and rob the humans." The leader ordered, bearing his claws as all three lunged at the group,

tab Kiana was huffing as she tried to catch her breath while also trying to keep up with the group, this hot dry nasty air was freaking awful. She wasn't happy to come this way, and it was apparent Lara wasn't either with her angry fit. She just wanted to get the freak out of here. Although, hearing Lara say her pets could die of heat stroke, she immediately felt bad for them. She'd try to catch up, handing her the water she had left. "Here, you can have mine. I just brought it just in case, I don't really need it." She lied for the most part, but she didn't want anyone to run out of water. As long as she didn't shape shift, she'd be mostly fine. She stumbled as she walked, the heat felt really badly draining. Kiana's ears perked inside the hoodie, glancing around. There were noises coming closer, but before she could alert anyone they had already arrived. This huge fat lizard was gaining towards the group, backing her way behind Inari and Lara. Ugh they were looking so gross..she didn't even want to make eye contact. There was a truth that needed to be said though, she didn't think they'd be attacked. Hence not saying, so now she felt bad for that. "I guess I should tell you guys now, I'm not much of a fighter. I said I could handle myself, that's not the full truth. But, I'll certainly try. Just don't go dieing on me, kay?" She laughed it off awkwardly hoping they wouldn't be mad, she had never really been in fights before, simply because she avoided them. She'd have to make it up for that lie by trying to help get these nasty things outta here. Considering the terrible heat here, it made her hard to move around. Her eyes glanced toward the smaller one, whipping out her stick. She had no idea if fire was effective, but only one way to find out! She rose her stick towards the sky, releasing five beach ball size fireballs towards the charging group of demons. Kiana made sure to keep her distance as they grew closer as well, but the fact she had to use fire was only making her sweatier. It was hard to fight in this place because none of her attacks were really well at keeping her cool. Hopefully the others would have better luck.

It's true, virtually everyone here was dying. Allura and Tiny especially. All this, just to avoid some bandits on the road. Yeah, I know... either way, we need to conserve our strength. We'll be there soon. Inari said, knowing he should have stole a couple of horses. At this very moment, he felt the same type of frustration that Lara felt. Lara already held his water, since he knew this would be torturous for the animals. As soon as they get near a village or oasis, he needed to say sorry to them immediately, and hope the two animals could forgive him.When we get to Haeseon, I'll pay for anything you guys want, kay? He asked, looking up to the sky. He wondered if this was all worth it. The ultimate power that resides within Yoleffiel. Was it truly worth going through pure hell for? What if anyone died because he was too scared to protect anyone. Those were serious questions he'd be asking himself. Finally gaining some composure, Inari would then stop dead in his tracks, hearing the footsteps of demons. Looking forward, he saw why Kiana held on for dear life. There definitely were demons. Yeah, you always sucked at fighting. Inari muttered about Kiana's fighting ability, or lack of, followed by him taking out the two daggers. Okay... we need a plan. All that was ignored, as soon as Kiana herself took her stick and chanted a spell which caused fireballs to be summoned from her staff and shot towards the enemy. Since when could she do spells!?

Senna Kaiju
I want to double check that it is ok that her animal magic allows her to shift parts of her body into animal parts. She can't completely morph into an animal though since that would make her one of the beastmen. If this isn't ok I can edit the post

While Lara was very worried about her animals she did feel bad that everyone was giving her their water. While she complained she knew everyone was in a similar boat. Honestly the fact that they even offered to give their water to her animals made Lara a little happy. She didn't expect them to care about them. "Idiots... If you drink nothing you'll just die instead... What good would that do?" Lara murmured softly.
Just as she was going to start passing what little remained of the water around a couple of demons showed up. "Just what we needed," Lara said with an annoyed huff as Allura was already starting to growl at the monsters. As the demons neared Lara and her friends she noticed them eyeing them all. They seemed to be sizing them up, a clear sign of a fight about to go down. Lara remained silent as they spoke until they mentioned Kiana. At the mention of selling her Lara growled similarly to her wolf Allura and said, "I guess kidnapping is the only way ugly b@stards like you could get a girl, huh?"
Then, to make matters even worse. Kiana decided to admit in that moment that she really wasn't a fighter. "You have got to be kidding," Lara responded in a deep sigh. "Guess now is as good as any to reveal my own secrets. My powers don't just allow me to get along with animals," Lara said as her eyes briefly flashed blue, but this time she didn't even try to hide the flash. In seconds her lightly tanned arms were changing. The hair on them became thicker and darker as the very bone structure of her arms morphed. "I'm not a beastman, but my animal magic allows me to alter parts of my body in a similar way. Probably because this magic comes from spirits deeply connected to nature, faeries. Surprise," Lara said, looking one of the demons straight in its eyes as she said surprise. "Guess you were wrong to assume that I was a typical human."
