Fillavandrel A light thud of leather against stone beat softly with every fall of his foot, with hands placed at his side he prepared to do one of the scariest things he'd ever do in his professional career. It had been several hours since the sun had risen over the stone walls of the Vosian castle, yet the generals had yet to be graced with the presence of the Queen. Though new too her rule, he was certain Lady Solaris was aware of the morning meetings with the generals during the momentary peace. Though they were at peace, it was on the demons to break it. But it would hardly be possible without the decree from the Queen. The other generals believed she was busy, perhaps off doing other official business that the generals need not know about? But Fillavandrel knew better than to believe the young Queen was doing something without aid, he had a good idea what she was doing. Turning a corner, he spotted his final destination off in the distance, Solaris's room. A lesser demon would have turned around instantaneously, the legends passed around about the contents of this corridor were unmatched by any fable passed around by children about ghosts and ghouls. Unflinchingly, he continued forward to her room.
The legends passed on by the guards would go something like this. The very hallway that surrounded Fillavandrel was full of enough menacing energy that it could kill a low tier demon in an instant, painfully. Another fun one, was that the windows themselves would block out all light, that the torches that lit the halls would go out occasionally, leaving guards in refined darkness, and as Fillavandrel walked through the sun and torch lit halls, he gave a small chuckle at the rumors. That was about all they were good for. The wings, rested at his side, between his hands and his sides, stretched outward for a moment reflexively. Giving a soft flutter before going back to rest at his sides, the ragged wings damaged by battle and time, yet it didn't seem to take away from his clean demeanor. Getting eerily close, he began to ponder the latest rumor he'd heard from the fresh-faced recruits whom mistakenly passed through these halls. They would muse about the Queen's door, that how the closer one got to it, the more they could hear. Starting softly with the moans of the tormented at a fifty foot distance, then the screams of the damned at the twenty five foot distance. There was nothing after that, it's been mentioned that no one has gotten any closer than that yet. But to Fillavandrel it was just a door, and beyond it might possibly just be his Queen. No moans, no screams, at least none that were related to tortured souls. Walking up to the door, he halted in place and reached a gloved hand out. "Lady Solaris." His voice rang out once, soft but with a firmness to it that said he could shift to command at any moment. As he waited for a moment with seemingly no response, he went to knock.

It had been a hard night for her. With a certain Elf Prince barging into her castle, then the battle with him had drained her. She barely made it back to her castle without falling asleep in the sky. All of that on top of the new power she obtained during the battle. To an extent, it was painful for her. When she finally arrived back to her cozy little home, she realized she could barely walk let alone stand. It was as if she had received a large internal wound of some sort, but she knew that wasn't accurate. Christof never hit her with that type of force. Solaris could only ponder the possibilities of what was ailing her. After writhing in agony for hours throughout the night, she finally came to the conclusion it had something to do with the power. It took period cramps to a whole other level of irritation and pain. Unfortunately, she didn't get much rest as a result of these events. But something was much better than nothing.
The demon queen made it a point to tell her guards to let her be for at least the next 24 hours despite their pleas to seek medical attention. There wasn't actually anything wrong with her though. At least she didn't think there was anything worth seeking help for. It was just a lot to contain at once. Bed rest is what she needed. That a mountains of food. Maybe she should get up? No, her bed was to comforting. Much to her dismay, she heard foot steps. Familiar foot steps. She knew what those foot steps meant. Nor was she happy about it. Solaris groaned, displeased with this new turn of events.
"Don't do it.. Don't you do it.."
She warned under her breath, though she was sure he couldn't hear it. Solaris felt the urge to get up and make herself look presentable. But that required clothes. And getting up. And being cold. No, she will stay in bed, explain to Fill what has happened, calmly, and hopefully, he will promptly leave. Hopefully. Solaris heard her name, and gave no answer. She heard him knock, and still gave no answer. Instead, she curled deeper under her blankets. Hiding away from the rest world while she laid in pain.

Fillavandrel Fillavandrel was aware of his Queens arising issues, but only briefly. The babbling guards that happened to be on duty when she arrived at the castle late at night weren't much good at informing him about the situation. So, he would need to hear it from her mouth, one which he could hear lightly muttering in the other room as he finished his approach. Not enough to hear what she said, but the unmistakable sound of a soft unhappy grunt, and the shifting of her plentiful bed sheets confirmed his suspicions, she was sleeping in. He took a moment to look up and down the hallway, ensuring that there were no spectators before he did anything that might have people question his unerring loyalty. Entwining his fingers he cracked his knuckles and let out a small breath. "Lady Solaris, your absence from the council is noted this morning. That atop the mentions of your injury has led me to take steps outside of my position." Placing his hand on the door, a thin ethereal chain loosened itself from up his ragged sleeves and slid its way down the sides of the doorknob. The snake of black and purple wrapped itself around the door handle and with one swift upwards flick of his wrist, followed by an ever so soft crunch of metal, the knob twisted upwards and out of place. The noise was hardly loud as to not disturb his mistress, and with a light push the door opened without so much as a creak. "You'll have to forgive me." He said, understanding that his position as a general and adviser to the Queen did not give him permission to break into her quarters. But he worried, and felt her father might have wanted him to check on her.
"I am entering." Fillavandrel said, turning his body 90 degrees and entering the room at a sideways angle with his back facing her bed. Upon breaching the doorway, he closed the door behind him and gave the handle a soft yank in the other direction, putting it back into place, with some minor damage to the door. But at least the door closed properly! Relieving the handle of his chains, he moved a few more awkward side steps into the room with his hands to his side and forward facing her wardrobe and closet. "You must forgive me, your Highness. Hearing the words of the night shift guards set me at unease. I wished to hear from your mouth if what they said was true." He said, neatly and straightforward. Though he knew that his Queen slept in the nude, he never made any moves to make her feel uncomfortable and never let such things as skin make him forget she was his superior. The wings at his hips expanded and returned softly once more as he nodded his head respectfully, though understanding she wouldn't be able to see it. "If it please your Highness, you may remain in bed while we speak. I would seek to maintain your modesty." She would probably have no objections to that notion, already he could hear her complaining about his presence making her do things she didn't want to do. Such as, getting up, putting on clothes, and being cold.

Solaris was now entirely awake. Hearing her door handle break off irritated the hell out of her. She understood why he was breaking an entering but it didn't piss her off any less. She was in no mood, or condition, to be toyed with, and she knew that he knew that. Otherwise he would've waited patiently for her to eventually come out. Eventually.
"Yeah yeah.."
Solaris waited to hear the door shut. To her surprise, she also heard the sound of the door handle again. Maybe he didn't break it? The queen peaked her head out from the covers, attempting to locate her general. She managed to lay her foggy eyes onto his back. She chuckled. This kind of opportunity only presents itself every few hundred years. It wasn't all the time Fill would have his back against the wall. Or in this case, his front.
"Wow, turning your back to your queen? That's ballsy of you."
The demon snickered. Of course he would want to maintain her modesty, and she appreciated that. But that doesn't mean she wouldn't give him s**t for it. In any case, he had already explained why he let himself in. She knew he would eventually hear about it. She could lie if she really wanted to, but what exactly was there to lie about? Technically she wasn't a child, and it's not as though she did anything reckless, kinda. Or anything that would endager their peace, sorta.
"I don't know what exactly they told you, but I'm not injured. At least not technically."
Solaris began to relax a bit, stretching out her appendages.
"The elf prince came to visit yesterday. But mummy and daddy didn't give him permission to, so I sent him home. But he instead took it upon himself to go to that stronghold, the elf one. I followed him and lost a guard in the process.. I initially went there to detain him and escort him back to his own kingdom.. but.."
She winced, feeling another wave of stings and cramps come over her. The pain was gradually subsiding. Much to slowly for her comfort.
"He was looking for something, and he didn't find it. Or at the very least didn't see it.. But I did.. We fought. I didn't actually take any damage from him.. It was the water. It felt great at first. I don't know how to describe it.. It was like I was being born again and as we fought I felt as though every time we collided, I got stronger. But as things started to calm down.. All that power felt like it was poisoning me."
How bizzar indeed. The more she heard herself talk, the less she began to believe she didn't need help, maybe the water was to pure and somehow affected her demonic energy? Maybe Abra purifying the water himself is what did it. Or maybe there was just so much of it, it needed to be expelled somehow.

Fillavandrel Fillavandrel smirked at his Queen's chuckle, understanding that this situation would make for a plethora of wonderful jokes. Jokes she was more inclined to say than he. And as the blankets shifted with Solaris' movements to check her room for any problems, he reached a hand up to his hair and pushed a few strands away from his eyes. As she commented on his position, he lightly bowed, even when facing away from her. "Forgive me, your grace. Though I am ever pleased to look on your splendor, I find it would be inappropriate without permission at this time." The demon muttered then raised his head respectfully. Her snicker would tell him he was doing a good job at keeping the Queen entertained despite her alleged ailments, something he was proud to be able to do. There were few advisers and generals in enlisted that could bring such a joyous rise from the Queen. It was always a surprise to him she never turned him into a court jester for doing so.
Unsure as to what he should have expected from the situation, Fillavandrel listened diligently. He was enlightened to the attack from the elven prince the evening before, and the rapid loss of life from the attack. The lives lost totaled in the tens with some change, it was an easy amount of damage to return to the elves which he already had underway. But he would wait to give his initial report until the Queen had finished telling her perspective of the events that unfolded the night before. The demon didn't need to look at her to hear her wince and sounds of discomfort behind him, though he would not coddle her like many guards would, once Solaris made up her mind, usually it was set in stone. Then she got to the meat of the subject, bringing up the elven prince and the magical water. Though her description was slightly unnerving, though the water was a concentration of pure magic it was consecrated. There was no reason a demon should feel "great" upon spending time with it. The concept was something to be pondered, letting out a verbal expression of interest Fillavandrel raised a hand gently to his chin. A beat resonated between the demons as the Queen finished explaining her point of view, Fillavandrel lightly tapping his chin with his index finger. "Upon inspecting the contents of this 'water' you had come in contact with. I found quite the opposite effect, burning myself as any holy water would have done." He said, gracefully relieving his left hand of it's thin black cloth glove and holding his hand up to show the Queen the light burns across his finger tips. He would not question her as to whether she had any burns, her explanation would be sufficient enough to understand her wounds were more internal than external.
Sliding on his glove gingerly, he returned his hands to his side and continued to speak. "I have done my investigations on the breach of peace by the young prince Christof. Upon brief examination it has been found that twenty one men lost their lives that evening, and the new well of water has filled the chamber it originated in with little understanding of how to contain it." Fillavandrel said, then he perked up slightly as rested his hand behind his back. "Your Highness, I ask that you allow me to bring this breach of the peace to the other leaders to negotiate proper punishment diplomatically..." He said, then smirked. "Or give me permission to enter the land of the elves, and turn as many wives into widows as they did ours." The idea gave him much excitement, but he contained it well for fear of disappointment. He. Hated. Elves. So self-righteous and full of themselves, outwardly breaking the peace, spitting on the name of their current Queen and the many kings and queens of the past. Nothing would bring him more peace than to see their nation burn in hell fire, damn the beasts and the humans, as far as he was concerned war was made return elves to the damned ground they loved so much. As he finished making his plea for action, he bowed his head once more. "Forgive me, my Queen. I should have been beside you during the breach. Rather I was relaxed while the enemies walked out grounds. It shan't happen again." He said then raised his head, he always thanked his parents for how his horns grew in, just close enough to his head to hold his hair in place, but not close enough to be uncomfortable.
"Additionally, if it please your Grace, I would ask you to allow me to see you through cleansing rituals to expunge the effects of the holy water. I am only versed in the methods of old, as such is my faith, but I believe they may be effective in curing your ailment." He said, his eyes remaining focused on the closet door, with no wandering, though he was curious as to the rooms contents. "Later, that is. I know now you wish to sleep."

"Solarisssss~" He had hummed as he bounced onto her bed beside her. "Ah?" He had then blinked at her in a light concern. "Are you okay My Highness?" He asked her. Jin was they type to go off the handle, it would be best not to tell him the situation.
But being so, he wanted to distract her from her pain. "I took out those disgusting ruffians who were disrupting our trading routes. It was a bit of a bloodbath, for them." He chuckled darkly. "But no doubt they will disturb us any longer." He told her gently. Yes, Jin did have his moments of seeming stability.
He finally seemed to notice the other in the room. "Oh, You're here Filly?" He asked. "I didn't notice." Red ringed eyes seemed to study him as he read the expression on his face. "You look like you were just relishing in possible massacre, you wouldn't go without me would you?" "Yes, hello Jinny."
Solaris gave the boy a slight wave. Sitting up, the queen covered herself with her sheets, grunting in pain as she did so. Jin had been a close friend of Solaris since she could remember. Growing up, often times he wouldn't even use her full name. It wasn't until recently that his old habits died and he stopped using "Ari" to address her. Solaris herself wasn't easy to get along with, especially with how provocative she can be at times. Jin's personality seemed to fit hers perfectly. Partly due to his indiscriminate sadistic nature. But she appreciated that about him, as well as his honesty.
Solaris gave a heavy sigh. Unfortunately, Fillavandrel was right. The peace had been broken, for a while things were fine, but this type of behavior was unacceptable. War need not start with the humans and beastmen, but the elves deserved a warning.
"I will leave the situation in your hands, Fillavandrel. I trust your judgment. Do not do anything that would get yourself killed. If we die, we die protecting our glory."
With the blanket wrapped around her majesty, Solaris walked up to her dresser, shooing her 'Butler' away.
"Jinny, why don't you pay those Fairies a visit outside their castle walls? I want you to schedule a play date with one of their soldiers. Any one will do... And be sure to make a mess."

Fillavandrel Still facing the wall, Fillavandrel heard the door open once more, but with the high pitched shrill of the assassin that preceded it, he knew not to worry. Returning from his job, he'd had the same instincts as Fillavandrel, check on the Queen. But to him it was more of a, check on my only friend. As the boy relayed the results of his work, Fillavandrel spoke up from his corner. "I fear any work you've put into the elven trade routes have gone to waste. We'll have to suspend them in light of recent events." He said, also taking a mental note to inform the merchants of the impending return to war. Though all of Mobius would know soon enough. When Jin finally noticed him and made some small comments Fillavandrel looked to his feet. "Oh dear, am I not very visible? Perhaps if I took a step back." Fillavandrel said, taking a step closer to the bed with his back still turned so that he was closer to the center of the room. The constant shuffling of incredibly plush sheets continued to fill the space, and Solaris said the words he ever so relished to hear.
"I will leave the situation in your hands, Fillavandrel."
A large smile overcame him as he took another medium bow to his Queen. "Understood, your Highness. As always, your faith will not be unfounded." As he finished speaking he raised his head and knew that would be his cue to leave. But as the young assassin spoke to him again, he let out a small chuckle. "Indeed, young Jin. A massacre it will be, but I ask that you leave this one to me." He said, turning his head to the side to smirk to the assassin before resting his hands behind his back in thought. "Your style is far too, honest I wish to make a display of this. To show the young prince of 'iilhi that his actions have consequences. And most importantly..." He said, taking a few steps to the door, opening it, and taking a step out the door. "Proof of powerlessness." Fillavandrel said, not turning to face them though he wanted too because of his Queen's modesty. "Good day to you both, expect results by the end of the day." Saying his final words before closing the door, his wings fluttered at his side in pure excitement.

"Atleast I had gotten to have some fun while I was at it." he hummed as he listened to the exchange between his Ruler and the General. A huff came from him at the other's response. "You never let me come along."A pout coming across his features, arms then crossing at the words that left the other demon's mouth. "You're lucky you're cute and smart you Seducing Leeching b*****d."
