The new app will have a new name called "GoGaia", and because the new app would not be released with all the features of the old Gaia App, the new app won't replace the old one on day one.

Gaia has long since used BBCode. BBCode is relatively archaic on the internet now.
Would you be willing to migrate from BBCode to markdown? Especially given that you’re using TinyMCE for the mobile app, but the converting the WYSIWYG HTML to BBCode (and then back to desired HTML?).

I've been looking at Markdown a lot, and I like the simplified syntax more than the lengthy bbcode. I can implement a backend that can decode both types of markdowns, hopefully it won't be too much of a burden on the servers.

Few days ago I have received a message concerning the Valentine's event. And the matter of the issue is that too much has been subtracted (124,000 Platinum in my case), I along with many have posted in the provided thread, but are left with no information whatsoever.
Thus, I would like to inquire as to the reason of this happening, as well as to whether or not this money will be reimbursed to me and many others in this situation, if you have any idea, could you also give me an estimation of when this should be resolved?

if you link to a direct post, and you click on it, you only get taken to the page and NOT to the post.
even if the #post number is there in the link, if you hover over the link it doesnt even show that its there.
and thus only goes to the page number.
i have many charity games that require the link to the post, and this is very very very obnoxious and makes it incredibly hard to do some things !!

That feature is still working for me in Chrome, and all the anchor links are still present. Might there be any plug-ins that might be blocking this function on your browser?

That's native browser behavior. So it sounds like an issue with your browser.
i dont think so, because it happens on FF and on chrome.
and i know im not the only one to experience this
has also been happening to me on Microsoft edge and opera and in guilds as well, definitely a glitch

I have not worked on the ignore list in Guilds for quite some time, I will look into it later and PM you once I figured it out.

When applying for custom user-made items on Tickets, there was a rule that "The item must not be based on current existing material made by, or copyrighted by law" but "parodies" of the said content are acceptable? Can you clarify this? Because if I wanted to have a custom item made and it's based on another game or anime/manga then it would not pass the qualification, thus the request is rejected? Thanks! heart

Parodies are okay! If we feel that the request would violate any copywrite laws, we would work with you to make changes so that it would be acceptable.

Does this include slight changes to the original reference, adding other details? Are those included on the ticket rules? Can you send a link of the guide for tickets? I'm interested in having one custom item at least in the future. Thanks for replying! heart
We don't have any specific guidelines when it comes to parody items because every case is different. Changing, adding, and/or removing details is generally how we go about it! We'd likely need to make more changes if the original design is fairly simple.

Re-releases / Gold shops
there is such a big back log of items to be released, and there are SO many unlisted items on the marketplace, you guys need a new system other than posting in a thread and maybe cherry picking a few at a time.
there is no way to re-release everything with your current system, and so many things go forgotten.
why not re-release these items into the gold shops?
i understand you make money off of re-releases.
so why not release them and have them be sold for gold OR gcash.
[meaning there is the gcash price if they want to pay with that, or a gold price so they can pay with that]
so people can buy things with gcash still, and you still make money.
and it stays up, so people can buy the item with either/or.
you currently have a 6 month period before something is able to be re-released.
why not have it so there is a 1 year period before its released into the gold shop ?
you have a gold:gcash ratio, so you can easily use that to determine what to price the item at
heck, you can even go so far as to go back to when the gcash store first started, and bring those items out, and update it every month until you catch up to more recent things.
so things would be longer than 1 year, but theyll eventually be out for sure.
if there was a rig from the past, you can just simply submit the rig for gcash/gold and then people can buy them with either/or to try to get the items inside of it. instead of listing every item that inside of it.
same with bundles, because there are a lot of bundles that have exclusives
if it was a limited quantity item, just remove the quantity, because limiting it will only hurt you because if you limit how many are bought, you limit how much money you make. why limit it?
this way, there are:
- no more unlistings
- amazing gold sink, that will be added to over time, and help continue the amount of gold taken out of the system, thus helping stop inflation since its going directly to gaia instead of to another user's pocket
- no more price hijacking [when someone spikes a price just because they can, even if its no where near that value]
- people get an extra thing to spend their gcash on, helping with the gcash inflation, and even promoting people buying gcash so they can buy more things theyve missed out on
- helps big inventories, so people are more likely to get rid of an item because they know they can re-buy it, instead of it becoming unlisted and never seen again. a lot of people have huge inventories atm because theyre hoarding, but gaia literally cannot sustain the big inventories with their current systems, so this would alleviate some of that
even though youre releasing to the gold shops
you can still:

- focus on newer items instead of breaking your back trying to re-release all the old things
this system is literally only a positive, as it does all of the things listed above

There need to be a lot of planning if we are to start picking older items for re-release, and I'll need to check with the team if they had decided to execute on the idea it or not.

Lately, I have trouble logging onto my account because 2FA says I type invalid code despite that it's the correct code multiple times. It gets so frustrating that I have to disable it.

We'll look into it. It's HTML5 so hopefully it's not too hard to put inside an app. Though we still have a lot more features to add to the Gaia app.

Are there any benefits that are planned to be added to Angel Subscription?
Currently, the biggest main features are access to the Cloud 9 Shop, bonus gaia cash, free angel item, and no ads/captcha.
I wish there were a few more benefits, even small ones.
Neopets Premium subscription gives users the following features:
-Access to an exclusive forum
-Premium Avatar icon and Site Theme (I guess Gaia's equivalent could be an exclusive Angel Subscription username flair/pledge)
-Additional Random Events that give a random amount of Neopoints (maybe more pink links or giftboxes per month for Angel Subscribers? Or raise the daily platinum limit from 3000 to 6000? o: )
-Space Faerie Scratchcards every week (that give out somewhat neat and rare items)
-Space Faerie Quests
-NeoCash
-Space Battle Dome (Maybe an exclusive mini game for Angel Subscribers?)
-Extra Neopet Slot

These games have been down for quite awhile, and would not connect even if you are connected to a network in Monster Galaxy Exile.
The error says "could not find monster galaxy ssd. api" or something like that.
Can we use Gaia Cash instead to buy Moga Cash in game? We have to link our Gaia Accounts anyway.

I've had trouble finding the source code for the Moga games. Because of that, we don't have plans to bring them back on the app store for now.

Why are old rigs being re-released over and over again while using the same images and text for advertising them? I mean some showcase Golden tickets, Ruby tickets or Platinum tickets but are not in the rig anymore.

As fun as it would be to ask our graphic designer to edit all of the images for old generators, the updated list of tickets, treasures or rare prizes are always written within the announcement body copy.
