For some reason or another, it felt more embarrassing to invite Iduna to his asteroid and not, say, his room. Cadmus was enthusiastic initially when he made the offer, but now, he paced restlessly around the bell tower they would make their ascent from. He had sent a string of messages to her senshi phone leading up to the agreed upon day, his final one a short, “Let’s meet here!” with a shot of the location attached. Since it was always the place he traveled from, he figured it should be the same here.

He stopped his umpteenth journey around the bell tower when he recalled why it made him so nervous: Wasn’t this a date? Didn’t he think of this a date? Weren’t they going on their first date?

Cadmus cupped a hand over his face and drew it down slowly. s**t, he mentally cursed. This is kind of, maybe, technically, a date. Our first date. My first date. s**t.

Cadmus had, admittedly, expected his first date to be more, well, extravagant. Something nice, fun, where they both would enjoy themselves. Not… showing his potential date around an asteroid that could be considered boring, despite how much he adored it.

This… This is going to suck, Cadmus determined then and there. I know it…

This was a date, goodness this was a date and Iduna was in a fuku too small for her body and her hair wouldn't cooperate and -- For the hundreth time she told herself to stop worrying about it and get to the bell tower. She wore just enough of her fuku to keep the powered glamour up - mostly the bodice and skirts - and threw on a coat and some proper boots before heading out.

Okay so it was a date to space but it was with Cadmus and he seemed super excited about his world and she couldn't just... say no okay. Even if it turned out to be super boring and she potentially died from lack of air, at least she'd be with Cadmus. The thought brought a blush to her cheeks.

The bell towered appeared and she felt his power signature. "Cadmus!" she said as she approached, waving a hand to him. Her heart sputtered a little and she tried to calm herself.

Here we go, our first date... to space.

Cadmus’s heart leapt into his throat just as Iduna called his name. He whipped around to see her waving up at him, and he attempted to do the same, if it weren’t for the very dangerous fact he nearly fell from the bell tower in his mirth. He managed to catch himself with a stumble, but it did nothing to quell the fact he almost died.

Again.

Suddenly, possible death through handholding felt like a slap on the wrist.

He descended from the bell tower to join her, the butterflies in his stomach fluttering away for just a moment. “Hey, I’m glad you could make it,” he said. “You had no trouble finding the place? Or—” He eyed her coat, confused. “Are you cold, or—oh. Oh. Never mind, don’t answer that.

Recalling her fuku was all reason he needed, but his cheeks burned from embarrassment. Yea, this date was definitely off… to a bad start…

Iduna blushed and her shoulders crept to her ears for a moment. Ah yes, so he realized why she wore the coat and proper shoes. Seeing his blush made her giggle though, and she reached for his hand with a cute smile on her face. Or at least, she thought it was cute. Was it cute? She hoped it was cute.

"No trouble getting here, especially with real shoes! You picked a noticable enough location after all," she said, smiled down at him. She still couldn't get used to the fact she was taller than him. But she was tall and there wasn't much she could do about it.

Laughing seemed to help though. Helped break the mood, shift the embarassment, make it fun. Made her heart light too.

"So, how do we get to space, Cadmus?" she asked, geniunely clueless here. The only time she'd been to space, she'd been mostly unconscious for after they went into the Rift. So Iduna, even if she'd been the fight since she was eleven, had no idea what was about to happen.

Cadmus’s face dropped to one of surprise. No one had ever looked at him like that before, smiled like that at him before. It made his heart flutter as he looked up at Iduna.

Oh crap, he thought. She’s so cute…

Oh, uh, right! Good! Glad there was no trouble!” he said. He gently jerked his hand up to rub the back of his neck, but then he realized Iduna was holding hands with him, and it was surprise all over again. He laughed along with her to cover the air, but his chest felt like jelly from a mix of mirth and bewilderment. “S-since this bell tower can be seen from anywhere, right!

When asked to explain space travel, the eternal’s face knit together in thought. “Er, well…” he began, pulling out his phone. He used his thumb to point at an app on the screen. “If you look at your phone, this app here can take you to your homeworld. I don’t know how it works, but that’s magic for you,” he said. “It’s, like, gwaaa then whoosh, and then, you’re there. If that… makes sense…

You kinda, just, have to experience it. Sorry I’m not a good explainer.” Cadmus smiled sheepishly. “Are you, ah, ready to go?” He gave her hand a little squeeze. “If you aren’t, we can go another time.

Iduna giggled again as Cadmus tried to explain magic to her. She'd investigate this phone app thing later; she was having too much fun watching him. He was entirely too cute. How could one boy be this cute?

She glanced down as he squeeze her hand and smiled at him. "Of course I'm ready, Cadmus. I want to see your homeworld." If she was quite honest, she was nervous as all get out. Would they be able to breath? Would gravity work the same way? She knew he wouldn't let anything happen to her but what if a cranberry bush tried to eat her!! That would be a terrible way to go, eaten by a bush!

Better to not think about that.

Cadmus took a deep breath. “Okay,” he said. “W-we’re going. We’re actually going to do this. Okay. Here… we go…!

The eternal’s thumb hovered over the app before he jabbed it a little too forcefully. Yet, in an instant, that familiar sensation enveloped him: A blinding rush like a wind from the tips of his toes to the crown of his head pulling him through the entirety of space to his homeworld. At once, the amber-colored sky of Cadmus came into view, but the senshi could only behold it for a moment as he and Iduna would be falling back to the asteroid’s surface.

Cadmus chagrined as they toppled into a mess of horrifically high dried glass: He hadn’t warned Iduna that travel to his homeworld wasn’t a keen trip—instead of teleported, he was more unceremoniously plonked onto Cadmus. At least their landing was, err, soft-ish.

Groaning from the pain, Cadmus pushed himself up to sitting. “Ah, Iduna? A-are you okay?

Whatever Iduna expected space travel to be like, this wasn't it. The initial pull into space was fine, if a little nauseating at the sudden whorl of color in front of her eyes. It was the drop onto Cadmus - the senshi, and the world beneath him - that left her grunting in mild pain. Her friend has broken her fall, but her arm still slammed against the ground. Shocks of pain shot through her arm, Iduna extremely aware of the metal pins and plates in her arm.

"Does it .. always do this?" she asked, trying not to wince as the pain dulled to a low throb. She would have been embarrassed that she was laying across his lap, but the pain masked most of that.

Iduna pushed herself up with her other hand, awareness growing of how close they were. Her cheeks flushed - she was pretty sure she'd never have to use blush again at this point . She glanced around them in a vain attempt to avoid his eyes.

It didn't really work.
