After everything that had happened earlier, Khal definitely needed a bath. As he walked through the halls of the castle, drenched in demon blood, whispers seemed to surround him more than usual. People were curious about his involvement in the recent demon attack, but no one would directly ask him. The only person who approached him was one elderly servant lady who had taken a liking to Khal in the time he had been there. They got to know each other mostly through working in the kitchen and due to Khal's great cooking skills the two bonded quickly.

"Khalfani! I just heard word of the attack and that you were caught up right in the middle of it. Are you alright dear?" The woman asked as she took out a rag and attempted to wipe off Khal. he raised a hand out to her to signal know and immediately she retracted her hand. Since the two worked closely in the kitchen together she took notice of Khal's uncomfortableness with touch. It was something they never really talked about but she did ask Khal if he preferred distance to which Khal simply answered yes.

"I am fine somehow. I was very lucky that Mahanon was there to protect me from harm," Khal told her as the two walked side by side to the servant bath area. "Oh thank goodness someone was looking out for you. I worried that since your sister went into town that you'd be completely defenseless. You sure you are feeling fine? The excitement stirred by that whole mess hasn't effected your condition?" Khal shook his head. He truly felt bad that this woman was burdened by such concern for him, but he was glad that this at least meant she truly liked him. "As I said, I was very lucky. Mahanon also used a powerful healing rune on me so I'm sure that helped keep me stable. Now please, no need to worry so much over me. I'd hate to keep you from your work. I'm going to go clean up and I shall meet you in the kitchen later," Khal said as he gently took the woman's hands in his and gave her a gentle squeeze to reassure her. With a relieved sigh she gave Khal a gentle squeeze back before the two part ways. As she left she claimed that she'd bring back some clothes for Khal and she'd leave them right outside the door to the bath house.

The moment Khal entered the bath house and saw that no one was there he was glad. He would only bath if alone. He slowly stripped over his clothes, first with his shoes, then his shirt, and lastly his bottoms. Upon removing his shirt the odd mark on his chest was now completely exposed along with a few scars on his body, the most notable being a huge one on his chest. Khal then removed his hair elastic, which was just barely clinging to the ends of his long, white hair at this point, and put it around his wrist.

He entered the warm water and watched as the clear liquid turned a light shade of red as the blood was washed off of his skin. He held his breath and ducked completely under water for a few moment, in order to cleanse his hair of the dark blood as well. When he popped back up he used his hands to brush his damp locks backwards and then leaned against the edge of the bath to rest. He looked down at the mark on his chest and slowly started tracing it with his finger. "It's been what, 18 years since I first got you? And yet you continue to pester me." Khal then reflected on a time where he was proud of his chest mark. He was convinced by his family that have such a mark made him special, that it made him a key part of the family. When all along it just made him their pawn.

Khal removed his finger from the mark and tilted his head back. He decided to shut his eyes and rest briefly before drying off and getting back to work. He attempted to ease his almost constant worrying mind with some simple meditation, something that had started to become a part of his daily routine as of late. As a child, he was told to meditate in order to help control his abilities. Before he grew to fear his powers Khal used them a bit too openly, resulting in people getting hurt. For a while many in the cult feared him but as everyone started getting used to using the mark to share Khal's powers they grew to fear him less. Instead, he became like a drug to them. An addiction that they couldn't quit. Funny how they seemed to crave his power more than he did.

-brief skip-

After a while of gently scrubbing and relaxing Khal heard a knock at the door. The nice woman he worked with informed him that she had brought him clothes so he could come out whenever he was ready. She shouted a brief thank you through the door before getting out of the water and using one of the towels kept in the room to dry himself. He quickly put on the outfit he was given and proceeded to leave to help prepare dinner and tend to other duties.
