xxxPERSONALITYxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

RAMBUNCTIOUS Loud and proud, Elizabeth can be described as a bit of a wild child. She loves to sing, loves to dance, loves to cause a ruckus wherever she can. Lizzie is typically in a good mood and more than anything just wants to have a fun time, however her rowdy personality can make her tactless and confrontational. It's not that she means to be, but sometimes she just can't help it. She is quick to shrug these moments off right after though, as she would rather spend her time enjoying herself with others people than fighting it out.

LEADER Although lazy at times, Lizzie is someone who knows how to get things done when she puts her mind to it. Her boisterous nature makes her a people person at heart, and she loves nothing more than to build people up and keep the excitement going. She wants to motivate, and she wants to help others to make a difference in the world... How, exactly, she isn't entirely sure yet.

ETHICAL Being the daughter of an auror, Elizabeth understandably has a strong sense of justice and can be unwavering in her views of the world. She knows the difference between good and evil, but also fully comprehends that nothing is black and white. Sometimes good people do bad things, sometimes bad people do something kind. Sometimes, regardless of morality, someone may have to break the rules in order to do something they believe is truly right. Lizzie supposes if everyone stayed within the walls of rules and regulations, no progress in the world would have ever been made--everything would still be under the control of empires, rather than individual countries. That said, there is a time and place for everything; and even if someone does something awful, she is willing to give them a second chance to prove themselves.

CLOSED OFF Strong emotions have never been Lizzie’s forte, especially since the loss of her father. She’s not at all bothered by confrontation, but when things get real and require her sympathies and empathy, that’s where she begins to fizzle out. She tries to be there for her friends, and sometimes she succeeds, but these sorts of situations are incredibly uncomfortable for her. She’s harder on herself, bottling up anything negative until the brink of bursting, and getting her to open up and express her true feelings can be a difficult challenge. That said, this can also work to her advantage—if she’s ever in a dire situation, she can easily keep her emotions from clouding her judgement in order to assess what needs to be done.

CREATIVE The passions of Elizabeth Spektor lie primarily in the arts. Painting, theatre, music… It’s all precious to her, and it’s through these subjects that she is actually able to express how she feels. Making anything, whether it's a piece of art, or a song, or bringing a smile to someone's face, these are the things she would gladly spend all of her time immersed in. The arts are therapeutic and they keep her mind active; thanks to this, she can apply her imagination to real-life situations and problems, for better or worse.

SARDONIC Part of the way Lizzie copes with her emotions is through humor, more often than not in the form of sarcastic remarks and dry wit. Although she tries to stay positive in the face of others and will claim to be a realist, she has a cynical streak since parting ways with her father that’s hard to break and has a tendency to come through rather bitter in tone at times even in the middle of a perfectly normal conversation. She doesn’t mean it personally, usually, but occasionally things just slip out—especially when some snot-nosed kid next to her is complaining about how their mum is “so unfair and the worst” while she doesn’t have anyone.

xxxBACKSTORYxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

EARLY CHILDHOOD Lizzie never got to know her mother, Isla, beyond the stories she heard growing up from her father, Liam. They met in Hogwarts, she was a Hufflepuff and he a Slytherin, they fell in love, got married, decided to have a baby and have their happy ending… Except Isla died in childbirth, leaving Liam to pick up the pieces and raise their daughter alone.

Luckily, Liam still had family to lean on, and he moved himself from Hogsmeade to Stirling where his mother and father had offered to help him with his little girl. Evie and Louie were the best grandparents Lizzie could ask for. Since Liam was usually out, working long hours as an auror, she would often sit with her Grandad who told her all sorts of stories about wizards and magic, while Gran was always there to play games and stuff her full of treats. Still, despite the love and support from her family, Lizzie often found herself wanting for her mother, who she only ever got to know through pictures and the opinions of others. When she would get lonely, her father would tell her how much she was loved by both of them, and how they both only ever wanted to see her happy.

Liam was the greatest person in Lizzie’s life. Sure, he wasn’t around as much as she would have liked, but he always made up for it when he was around. They were two peas in pod, the best of friends, and they always had the grandest of times together. He would teach her about the violin and music, and Lizzie would encourage her father to join her and Grandad for arts and crafts. She always loved his pictures, despite the fact they were horrible and the man could hardly even draw a stick man. She never complained when her father had to leave her—she knew he helped people, and that was important, and because of that he was her hero.

Unfortunately, one day Liam just didn’t come home.

The Spektors still don’t know what happened. He was supposed to only be gone for a week or so. Lizzie knew he was part of an investigation in Dublin, but the details were understandably scarce and her family was unable to gain any useful information from the other aurors. He was soon declared to be missing. Evie and Louie had thought something awful might have happened, but Lizzie was confident that nothing bad could ever happen to her father… If Liam didn’t come back, it’s because he didn’t want to anymore. To her, this was a case of abandonment, and once the conclusion was drawn no one was able to sway her. At only eight years old she found herself without her parents.

Things were different for Lizzie after that, much to her grandparents’ concern. She still acted normal, still happy-go-lucky and eager to goof around, but those that were close to her could see that it was a fabrication to keep others off her back. Her violin had gone from light and playful to violently erratic, and while she was excellent at playing still she eventually just stopped all-together and tossed her instrument into the trash, only for Evie to save. She no longer wanted the reminder of her father. She had begun to close herself off to friends and family, and as far as Evie could tell, the girl never truly grieved the loss. Since she would no longer verbally express herself and tossed her previous outlet, Louie encouraged that she pursue the arts more seriously to vent her frustrations. He took her to his garage, his old painting studio where he let her have free reign, and the rest was history. She was okay for a time, but then the day came that her grandfather eventually passed on. Why did everyone she love leave her? All she had left in the world was Evie… Would she leave her soon, too? What happened then?

As expected of any young witch, the day came where Lizzie received her Hogwarts acceptance letter. Although she was sad to leave her Gran, they both knew she needed the time away from home to process, to be her own person and find her own way to cope… It was time to move on. Evie insisted that she would make lifelong friends in Hogwarts, but Lizzie wasn’t much interested in all of that. Why befriend people who are just going to disappear on her? She supposed for Evie’s sake she could fake it… After all, Elizabeth had bigger fish to fry than playing nice with a bunch of other kids. Despite her anger towards her father, she still wanted to uncover the mystery behind him leaving the way he did. Her grandparents would never talk about it, but now that she was on her own, maybe she’d learn one day.

SCHOOL YEARS
FIRST YEAR Lizzie's first year went by with nothing special to note in her book. She was surprised to be sorted into Gryffindor and was quick to make friends with Aldrick Knapp and August Li, two boys in her year she had met on the train the very first day. She did well enough in her classes and spent much of her free time hiding out in the art room painting. She did not join any clubs in her first year, although she is considering her options for the next school year. She was also dragged to an "exploration party" between first and second year students by Jonah Lane, a second year she had also met on her first day who she enjoys bickering with. Her favorite part was the snowball fight and getting to nickname Christopher.

SECOND YEAR Started with a bang. Lizzie's new kitten, Binx, had managed to escape during the Sorting Feast, resulting in Lizzie's trip crawling underneath the Slytherin Table. During her hunt she'd pranked August by kicking at the person across from him--leading to them thinking August was a rude little lad--and checking out a couple older girls' panties that just... Happened to be within her view. It wasn't their fault: they didn't expect someone to be under the table; it wasn't her fault: she didn't expect to be there either. It was what it was, but Liz was especially offended by a fifth year's emoji underwear. Luckily, she managed to get Binx back in her custody without much more trouble.

She finally found the elusive Art Club, and somehow managed to get kidnapped to the Music Club by Sonora Li with clever planning from August. Elizabeth vowed revenge, but never found the right opportunity for the rest of the year.

She finally found the elusive Art Club, and somehow managed to get kidnapped to the Music Club by Sonora Li with clever planning from August. Elizabeth vowed revenge, but never found the right opportunity for the rest of the year.

THIRD YEAR The last thing Elizabeth expected out of her third year was to end up playing mother hen to a batch of first year girls, yet she found herself actually enjoying the role. She continued on in her usual clubs, working diligently on her art and picking up her violin for the first time in years in Music Club. She eventually decided to spring for something new and took it upon herself to begin learning the saxophone in hopes of becoming Hogwarts’ Queen of Jazz. Briefly, observing all of the couples appearing at school, she considered getting her first kiss out of the way so she wouldn’t have to worry about it later. She considered most of her friends for the role of target and in the end settled on Rickie, but of course, nothing came of it. When it came to written assignments in class she didn’t put in as much effort as she could have, but fortunately she had Auggie and Rickie to make sure she kept her head above water.

FOURTH YEAR Lizzie befriended a quiet little first year by the name of Nimbus Siddall. Or at least, he seemed quiet at first. Turned out he was quite an angry little thing having some sort of feud with Auggie's cousin. Lizzie liked his vibe, and soon enough, she and Rhea had both taken him in as a mentee of sorts.

It was all she could do to keep her mind of things. Aldrick recently started dating Jessalyn Prescott, which was fine. Lizzie liked Jess. She was a nice girl. But why did it have to be her? Jealousy was an ugly color on Lizzie. It was better just to ignore it. Aldrick was happy, whoop-de-doo. Did he have to take leadership of Art Club, too?

Winter break, the worst happened. Lizzie had only been out in the garage for an hour at most. When she came inside she saw the blood staining the kitchen tiles dripping from her Gram's forehead. She was splayed out on the floor, the landline ringing off the hook as it dangled from the wall. She must have slipped when she went to answer the phone. Suddenly Lizzie had no one.

The next days were hard. Gram was buried and Lizzie didn't know what was next for her. She overheard the neighbors talking to Rhea's mother. They were nice enough to check in on her the last few days, but Lizzie wouldn't stay there by herself. But if she left, how would her dad ever find her? Surely he'd be home soon. He had to be. His mother just died!

He didn't come, and Lizzie went to stay with the Lanes at their home in Godric's Hollow. At least she was close to friends. Rhea was there, and Rickie and her girls were all right next door. By the end of the break, Lizzie was sure her father wouldn't be back for her. She convinced Aldrick and August to go with her to grab a few sentimental items from her old house, then burned it to the ground. It was time for a new chapter: No more waiting on Liam Spektor. Lizzie was going to find him, she was going to deck him in the mouth, and then she was going to move on with her life. She had a new family now.

FIFTH YEAR With the Lanes spending half the Summer at their dad's, Lizzie and Delia had time to bond. Lizzie loved the woman like she were her own mother, and Della was even kind enough to ask if Lizzie wanted to be adopted into their family. It was a generous offer, but she couldn't part with the Spektor name. She wanted to maintain the connection with her grandparents. Still, it was nice to have a new family, and to experience what it was like to have proper siblings. Lizzie hoped she would have a big family when she grew up.

That Winter, Lizzie dragged August to Dublin after finding a lead in one of Liam's old journals. She thought she would punch him, yet when she finally saw her father again, all she could do was throw herself into his arms and cry. She missed him so much.
As it turned out, Liam had been on a case working undercover for all these years. She spent every spare second with him that was allowed during that break. On her final visit before returning to school, Liam told her he may have found a lead in his case and that it may finally be over soon. He asked if once it was over, if Lizzie would move in with him again, and they could be a family. Lizzie tearfully agreed. The two promised to exchange correspondence via owl while she was at school.

Lizzie didn't study for O.W.L.s like she should have--at least not to the extent of August and Rickie, who seemed to be competing. She did just well enough in all her classes to proceed to the N.E.W.T. level. During her final week of school, her head was a little in the clouds. She hadn't received a letter from Liam in two weeks. Was everything okay?

SIXTH YEAR Everything was not okay. Over the Summer, Lizzie returned to Dublin and received news that Liam Spektor was killed in the line of duty. She was completely and utterly devastated, hiding away in her room and refusing to talk for a solid week. Her only comfort lied in the journals Liam's auror partner had given her, which gave further details into his latest case and even gave her the prime suspect in his murder: Celestina Hyurr. When Lizzie finally came out, she was dead set on a new mission: She would become an auror, she would find Celestina, and she would avenge Liam Spektor.

Ugh, she was going to have to study so hard.

Things mostly went back to normal after returning to Hogwarts. Aldrick seemed dead set on teasing Lizzie, coming up with new ridiculous ways to ask her on a date on the daily. He must have tried everything except actually asking her! August and Rhea were getting deep into their game of Will They or Won't They. Lizzie tried to lock them in a shed to force them to talk out their feelings, but that completely backfired. Why did Auggie have to be so emotionally constipated?

By the end of the year everything worked itself out. Aldrick and Lizzie were officially dating, and so were Auggie and Rhea. It was about time for things to start looking up.

SEVENTH YEAR What a mess of a year. Deepak was dead. Brook and Rhea seemed to be in a feud. Aldrick was grieving. Lizzie spent most of her time trying to cheer up her friends, and when she wasn't, she was hitting the books. She needed high marks on her N.E.W.T.s if she wanted to be an auror. December 19, fresh into Winter break, Aldrick and Lizzie celebrated their anniversary. Then they snuck into Lizzie's room from the window and celebrated some more.

It seemed like Lizzie was the very last one to find out that she was pregnant. She hadn't the slightest clue! Sure she had been a little sick, and moodier, and she was craving potato chip icecream like nothing else, but...
It may not have been planned, and her path forward was going to be harder, but Lizzie was happy. Aldrick seemed like he was, too. The two later got engaged. She made it through N.E.W.T.s, and after that, all that was left was to graduate and start their family.

POST-GRADUATION Liam and Lark were born on September 12 without difficulty, much to Lizzie's relief. Considering birth was how she lost her mother, she was thankful Aldrick and her children wouldn't have to go through the same. They built their home on the old Spektor property in Sterling and settled into their lives juggling family and careers. Once Lizzie completed her auror training, she and Aidene dived full force into the hunt for Celestina.

A couple years later Lizzie discovered she was expecting again. She and Aldrick agreed to finally get married in time for Lizzie to still fit into her dress. Not long after they welcomed Margaret into the world. A few short months after, much to their surprise, Elizabeth was pregnant yet again; and here she thought she was done. Months later came their second daughter, Nina. Well, now they would be needing tie-breaker in the house. A fifth child was inevitable, but Lizzie hoped to wait a few years so she could recover physically and focus on her case.

A few years passed and Aldrick was offered a job as a professor at Hogwarts. Lizzie couldn't have been prouder for him. He left his job as a cursebreaker a couple months in advance to have more time with the family before he started his new career. During this time, Lizzie became pregnant again. Sadly, this one didn't take. It would still be a while longer before their family would be complete. In the meantime, Lizzie had work to do.
