He didn't need any extra special senses to see that the man was flustered. His blood was quickly pumping, meaning that his heart was beating quickly. His engine running smoothly, was probably a fluster fueled statement, that one could tell Oliver immediately regret. But he supposed that he didn't need to pick on him for it. Especially since Oliver looked like he was moved by the mere notion of the detective bringing him a meal to eat. "I know, but I wanted you to eat something homemade." Now there was the blood collecting on the man's face after the kiss, which made Az want to tease him all over again.

"It doesn't have to be fancy for you to look good in it. I like the way you look in casual clothes too." He would assure the man with a soft smile. To him, Oliver could be wearing rags and he would still find him attractive. Oliver was just an attractive person. Not just in looks, but in personality and in the way he spoke. It was hard not to like him. That may be a biased opinion on his part, but he still felt like it was entirely true. "I am going on a date with you, not the people who stare. I don't care if people look at me because I am not dating those people." Another kiss was stolen from the Pi as the detective smirked.

"Besides, I already know what your sex face looks like and I am a fan. I think it would take way much more than a few turned heads to make me give that up." Another kiss was stolen yet again as he moved closer to Oliver with and and took his hand to kiss it softly. "Ready, let us commence our date."

Their comment about him eating something homemade was heartwarming. Though the brunette was recovering from their momentary flustered self, his face wasn’t the only thing growing warm. Facing away while putting away the bento box, their lips uplifted into a gentle ember. He was touched by the man’s kindness. Considering that the detective was a busy man, this breakfast meant more to him than what others might accept. 'I should make him a snack. Oh! I could have maybe make him some homemade dumplings. I should ask Mama if she has a shortcut version of Lao Lao’s recipe.' He’d just have to gather the necessary ingredients in secret and plan a surprise visit to Az’s workplace. That shouldn’t be too hard, right?

A sheepish smile was spouting on the P.I face at the detective’s comment. Those hazelnuts gazed back down at his own outfit. It was a white tee with a denim jacket and semi-casual pants. It was a clean ensemble that you might see this man going out about his day. He certainly didn’t have anything in his closet that was on the head turning end, at least nothing he could think of right away. Glancing back at Az’s attire, it wasn’t hard to see how he might make a few hearts swoon at his presence. Oliver could feel his own beating muscle fluttering a bit as their date spoke up once again. A hand proceeded to rub against the back of his neck as he grew slightly embarrassed by the compliment. It was one of his telltale signs that something was making him self-conscious. "When you put it like that-" Again, it happened again. This detective guy seemed to like swooping in to steal a kiss. Oliver could almost swear that he felt some tongue in that last one. Was that why this man was timing his actions?!

Oliver’s face was turning a slightly darker shade of pink as a certain demon brought up something from the past. The brunette was tongue tied and utterly stunned. He blinked at the comment as it settled in his mind. "My whatever face isn’t that grand!" Oli blurted out in a flustered matter but his mouth was swiped once more. This wasn’t helping him whatsoever! Not only that but the detective placed a peck on the back of the P.I’s hand. This gentlemanly act was throwing the brunette for a complete loop! Had it been anyone else, Oliver wouldn’t have put so much thought into these actions. Things were just a little different ever since they decided to test the waters between them. A squeeze was given to the detective’s appendage while he tried to calm his beating heart. That’s right! Tonight was going to be fun! A boyish smile lit up his face as he led them out the door. "Right! Let’s go on that date!"

                    -A few hours later-

The two were coming home after watching the movie Marley & Me. The P.I had heard good things about the movie but also gathered that it was a bit of a tear jerker. Good thing he had his tissue packet with him because this man was in tears during many of the moments in the movie. There were a lot of feel good scenes but the ending had him balling his eyes out. Oliver was trying to be discreet by keeping his tears on the downlow. Sometimes he would look to the detective and ask, with his eyes, if that sorrowful scene had really just happened. The brunette needed some comforting after that film. Oli was in a bit of an emotional mess and it was probably better to eat something in a more private setting than embarrass his date. He did get better as the detective comforted him in some way, hopefully they were wholesome ways but you never know with Azazel.

After settling on tonight’s dinner, the couple went out to buy some groceries before heading back to Oli’s place. The brunette was feeling better as he talked about the wholesome parts of the show. "Which reminds me!" Placing some groceries on the counter, he turned around to face Az. "How is the dog doing? I hope it hasn’t gotten sick..." His very words were reminding him of a downtrodden scene in the movie. Shoot! He was starting to get emotional again. "Sorry about getting emotional at the theaters. Sometimes I can’t help myself." With a boyish grin, he chuckled lightly as they attempted to lighten up the atmosphere. "I guess I’m a sucker, huh?" Laughing a bit more, Oliver began to take out the groceries one by one. Shaking his head softly, the plastic bags were thrust under the sink. "Alright...I think that is everything." Hands on hip, their warm sandy gems looked over their recently purchased display. "Now we just need to get some aprons….where did I put them." Muttering softly to himself, he began to look for them in the kitchen.

One thing that Azazel had become known for with Oliver, was his demon-like personality when it came to intimate acts. So it was probably expected that he would continue to tease the male all throughout the night just to get a rise out of him. But in this moment, he wasn't thinking about how he was going to get the man into bed again. No, his focus was on the date itself. He honestly thought with how busy the two had become with recent cases, that he may not have the opportunity. So this was a momentous occasion. A day where he can just focus on Oliver and their time together.

"I disagree with you. I like your expressions. You are very much an open book. I get to see when I am doing things correctly. I want to please you, romantically and sexually."

He said simply with a smile, before letting Oliver lead him away from the place of the PI.

While Oliver was rather emotional with the movie, Azazel was completely okay. Because he reminded himself that the dog which was playing the part of Marley, was not actually put down. That made it all okay. Knowing that somewhere, an old Marley was enjoying their long doggy life with his real family. So, to console Oliver, during the movie, he held his hand to gently squeeze it and tried to whisper during the move that it wasn't real. It was the only form of consolation he could provide until they got out of the theater. After that, he properly wiped away the man's tears and gave him a big hug and a gentle kiss on the forehead.

Luckily, Oliver seemed to cheer back up while they shopped to make their meal and by the time they made it back to his place, the man's face wasn't so red anymore. He set bags down on the counter before giving Oliver a charming smile while his signature chuckle of amusement.

"There is nothing wrong with you getting emotional over the movie. They make it like that to get that reaction from you. If they tug at your heartstrings, that gets them money and success. Besides, I like your sensitive side, it shows that you have compassion with the people who come in here for your help."

Helping him take the groceries out of the bags, he glanced as Oliver searched for the aprons. With a graceful motion, he came up behind Oliver and opened on the drawers to show the folded aprons. Taking one out of the drawer, the man unravels it before he puts the band over Oliver's head and ties it for him. Still standing behind him, the detective wraps his arms around the other's hips and kisses his cheek.

"I noticed that you didn't have a hook, so I folded them and put them in this drawer. I brought a hook for you the other day as a late house warming gift, but they are in my car. Remind me to get them for you later tonight."

The brunette gave the detective a very short glance before his attention was back to the door. Their hands shuffled around in their jean pockets till a few finely shaped pieces of metal were pulled out. They clinked against one another as Oliver distracted his attention on the item. Honestly, he was tickled pink that his facial impressions were of a noteworthy nature. At its core, the detective’s words were a compliment that he accepted graciously. He wasn’t inadequate when it came to social etiquette. Yes, the P.I was a dense man who didn’t typically recognize sexual and romantic cues that happened in his everyday life. Keep in mind, any time spent with Azazel wasn’t a part of Oliver’s run-of-the-mill routine. The raven-haired’s words and actions had far more explicit meaning than someone who was just trying to be “friendly” in a social setting. "And I respect our differences in opinion." His answer brought a lighthearted chuckle at this playful banter. Once he finally found his home’s key, they turned towards the demonically attractive male. "Spending some time with you is already pleasing." Oliver’s gaze softened considerably.

                    User Image

The sandy brown male didn’t realize how comforting it was to have someone consoling you through an emotional time. Granted, it wasn’t like the man was experiencing a real life crisis right here. Maybe others would disagree when they saw the tears that ran down Oliver’s face. He kept his sniffling to a minimum as they gave their date’s hand a squeeze. This was odd. No, not the part about a man holding his hand. Well, that was a new feeling for sure but that wasn’t what caught his attention at first. Typically, this P.I was the one who comforted others. You could say he was far more of a giver than a taker. Yes, Oliver was self-conscious about the detective’s caressing touch. The warmth found in the tips of their digits, dexterous fingers that laced with his own, the palm of their hand that covered his tepid skin….all of it was soothing.

During the movie, Oliver nodded his head when reassuring words nuzzled into his ear. It helped calm the adult man but there were still tears shed that night. So it came as a surprise when Azazel proceed to wipe those droplets from his face after the movie. He did try to assure the other that he didn’t need to do any of that, but his words failed to stop the considerate action. Any form of protest was stifled as a sweet-tempered kiss was placed upon his crown. There were times when Oli couldn’t keep up with Azazel’s affections, not that this was a bad thing or anything.

Back at the office, the brunette did feel a bit sheepish at his earlier behavior. More than that, Oliver was a tad bit self-conscious that he was the one getting reassured. It wasn’t a bad feeling, just new and welcoming. "Then it was a very successful movie." The P.I replied with a thoughtful smile. While the cinema might not be a box office hit, it would certainly garner enough attention in the media for it’s capability of making millions cry. "I don’t think my clients see the compassion when I get serious." The same could probably hold true for Azazel. Once they began their job, Oli grew ernst and focused on the task at hand. That reminded him of how they acted on their latest case together. Observing Az in their business mode was a treat that he didn’t voice out.

"Oh!" Those sandy brown gems grew a tad bit wide as the very thing he was looking for was nearby. 'Did I put them there last time?' Trying to look back on his memories, they came up empty. Straightening up, Oliver was quickly adorned with the kitty apron. No, he wasn’t embarrassed since it was just a protective covering used to shield him against the villainous jumping cooking oil. Plus, Oli never made it a point to hide things he deemed cute. Sure, some magenta colored boy might blush and hide this pleasurable secret. Not Oliver! Though he wouldn’t go outside blabbering about it, the brunette would at least be proud that he got to wear the piece that fit him to a ‘T’.

Soon enough, that wasn’t the only thing fitting him. Turning towards the detective, it looked like he fell into the man’s trap as a kiss was placed right on his cheek. He clearly turned into that one [ba dum tiss]. "You didn’t have to do that Azazel." Once more, he was touched by the man’s thoughtful actions. After all, when you gave a considerate amount of time regarding your future gestures, it kind of made the P.I melt. "It is a bit of a late housewarming gift." Oli’s tone was well-humored as they shifted around to face Azazel, all the while remaining in the man’s hold. "You’re really sweet. I wonder what I did to deserve you." Beaming, they leaned forward to press his lips on the corner of Az’s mouth. He wasn’t quite brave enough to kiss him directly on the lips yet.

"Do you mind if I help you with your apron? I’m looking forward to our special dinner together. Who knows how our Italian-Chinese dish will turn out." Yes, the P.I was excited to try something new. Either their homemade dishes comprised of Az cooking up a Italian or Greece speciality, or Oliver whipped up something from his Chinese roots. They had talked about a joint dish that combined their speciality together in the past. It sounded like a fun project, plus it was something to do together. If they failed, then it could always be looked back as a fond memory. "I think I cheated a little with dinner tonight. You know..since I taste tested the Italian part of the dish." He laughed before he realized just how silly his sentence sounded, with the timing was probably off. Their hand began to scratch the back of his neck bashfully. "That was pretty lame." It was his attempt at flirting. Seemed like it was crashing and burning though.

The kitty apron, almost broke the detective's resolve to focus on the romance and not the less innocent thoughts. He couldn't help what came to his thoughts, an image of Oliver with nothing but the kitty apron against a counter. The man took deep breaths in and out and calmed himself down as he made sure that the apron was secure. Ahh, but with the male shifting around in his arms so much, that was roving difficult almost. Even still, the detective would try to prevail! He wasn't a detective who was known for being explosive. No, he was a calm and patient man! So holding himself back so they can enjoy their date, should be easy enough.

"I know, but I wanted to. As not only housewarming, but also as a thank you for taking time out of your schedule for me today."

Oliver soon pointed out that it was a rather late gift, the detective answering that with an awkward and guilty chuckle. He had to admit that he felt really bad about waiting to long to give him one, but before, he didn't have the courage to do so. He wasn't really sure what he would be able to give to the man that would be helpful. What exactly was considered an appropriate gift, and what was too much? This was something that the detective struggled with personally.

"I know, sorry about that again. We both got busy and I had no clue what to give you."

Loosening his arms enough for Oliver to shift within them, Azazel gave the man a charming smile as they came face-to-face again. Once in place, Azazel tightened his arms once again. his ears were nearly perked up as Oliver spoke, the detective hanging onto every word right up until the kiss. The one that made all his cards fall from his hands so to speak. It was such a shocking gesture, considering that the one who usually displayed affection was Azazel himself. His blink of surprise was followed by a quick return of that sweet kiss. His own lips catching Oliver's in a brief satisfying kiss.

"You feel lucky, as I do. So we are just two lucky men who played all our cards in life correctly."

The offer to put on his apron was extended, and then man nod his head and almost released him from his arms. That is, until he registered what he said completely. Hearing Oliver say that he was looking forward to their dinner together made the detective rather happy. A combination of their two lineages sounded like a nice blend which was sure to be interesting. Of course, Azazel's was mixed, but they weren't going to attempt to tackle Greek on top of the two already difficult countries.

"Did you just....make a kissing joke?"

The man asked with a growing grin, his arms tightening a little more now as he leaned closer. He was forgetting his resolve again as he pressed his lips against Oliver's, giving him a linger kiss that deepened to the stage of tongues. Just for him to completely pull away moments later with a smile. Focus, focus, focus/

"If we do not move to the cooking now, I ruin the dinner for us."

                    ╔══════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗

The P.I was completely oblivious to whatever demonic thoughts were rampaging in the detective’s mind. After all, aprons were typically used to protect the chef from any surprise attacks or mishaps in the kitchen. Such protective gear had innocent origins, but it seemed like one particular man was letting his mind roam into some restricted PG-18 area. It certainly wouldn’t help if, say the narrator, was about to do something that fanned those fantasies. For instance, the tight cyan fabric might barely cover those refined unblossomed rose buds that rested on Oliver’s chest. Of course, that would only be seen if the brunette unhooked each plastic stub from their cotton confines, one….button….at….a….time. He would have to cast away the pearl fabric and remove the cotton tank top underneath. Such a breathable fabric held onto his body snuggly, making it perfect to see an outline of that nice six-pack. No! The narrator isn’t talking about a pack of beer! Now, so much unblemished skin would be revealed if Oliver actually did strip. All those days of training in the gym, lifting weights, squatting, and pounding those machines; such a fit physique would glow under the kitchen lighting.

Would it help the detective to know that the P.I’s sculpted a**, lightly grazed their front? After all, it was a tight squeeze and this, dense guy, hardly knew much about what this kind of touch would trigger. How long would Azazel’s patience last as the oriental man smiled tenderly at them, unaware of what their actions could do to the Meditterainian man. "You dummy. The only thank-you gift I need is a smile and a bit more of your time. I’m always happy to move my schedule around for you." With a cheery chuckle, Oliver playfully booped the man on the head. But the sandy man thought about a gift to give to Azazel. He would need to think about what the man liked. 'Oh! I could bring some dog treats after I give him my homemade dumplings. Maybe I could make them from scratch.' Though, that gift sounded like it was more for the dog than for the hardworking police officer. 'Maybe some tea? It might help him relax at the station.'

"Hehehe, you really didn’t have to give me anything." Oli joked as Azazel seemed to express some awkwardness. The brunette found that endearing. It was a look he didn’t always get the pleasure of seeing. Another boop was given to the detective’s head to assure him that everything was fine. 'He’s such a good man.' Oli thought to himself. The two had spent a considerable amount of time together, so it was only natural to think that. Often, when the P.I wasn’t on a case, he’d pop in to see how Az and his partner was doing. It could be something as small as bringing him something to eat or drink, chatting about nothing in particular, hanging out and….well, that last bit didn’t have to be mentioned. Sometimes, just sometimes, living in such a small space wasn’t such a smart idea. He cautiously glanced back at Azazel as a night of BLness came up. 'No, I was doing well.' He reminded himself as their heart sped up.

But somehow, someway, the thief was returning! He was being such a good date until a certain detective wanted more. Satisfying? Satisfying?! Oliver could feel his lips and face become inflamed as the seconds passed. They blinked in surprise as their hand clutched his blank shirt. The man needed to grab something to nudge his senses back to himself. A small nod was given as the dark haired male spoke about their luck. Did Oli feel lucky right now? Well, he could hear his heartbeat brushing against his eardrums. It was a bit hard to say if that was a good sign or not.

By this point, the detective’s apron was held within his free hand, but Oli didn’t make a move. He was still a bit stunned and dazed from that kiss. Well, along with the embarrassing remark he made earlier. Being called out on his joke was kind of embarrassing. So his hand sheepishly scratched his soft chocolate locks that rested on the back of his head. But by now, things were too late. Any thought of escape was quickly snuffed as muscular arms wrapped around him. Ga! The thought of the man’s lips on his own was just making him grow slightly flustered.

"Ah~" THAT VOICE DIDN’T MEAN TO COME OUT! Oliver saw Azazel coming in for a kiss, it was like seeing things in slow motion. He even vividly felt the brush of their lips, the sound as their succulent skin meeting their’s, etc. There were many other senses that were triggered, all of that made the P.I a bit weak in the knees. His hand relaxed and trailed over to the detective’s attire. When their pink muscles greeted each other, Oli faltered a bit. His knees did grow weak as he could feel the man’s heat. The wet sounds reverberated around his cartilage, their hearts quickened, the scent of -sniff- rising hormones and Az’s cologne penetrated his nose…

By the time the man pulled away, Oliver was just terribly embarrassed. He practically shoved the Meditteranian’s apron into his own face just so he could hide his blush. The P.I’s ears were turning red as he recalled the kiss, the sounds he made, and then...and then...Oli took a whiff of the cologne that wafted from Az. Basil, Rosemary, Green mint, and Lemon. These were some of the ingredients he could distinctly smell, and they were all components for whipping up a tasty meal. Now, this cute boy wouldn’t dare to think that the detective was tonight’s meal. But would he maybe try to lighten up the air a bit with a joke? "But you already smell like dinner." s**t! This man fudged up!

It was a good thing that Azazel could not hear the TORMENT of the narrator for Oliver. Because by now, he would be unable to hold himself back any longer. On top of Oliver being completely cute, with his flustered expressions and total innocence, Azazel really just enjoyed being close to him. He was a like minded individual who was a true delight to spend time with. Especially when he said such sweet things to the detective that made him feel welcomed wholeheartedly.

"I am always happy to do the same for you as well. I enjoy the days that we hang out together."

It was about at this point, where everything started taking a turn. Their bodies were pressed together, their tongue touching and sounds erupting from the PI's mouth. Devoured by Azazel's mouth as they continued to kiss. It seemed like dinner might not be something they get to for a little while, but of course, Az had pulled away and delivered his comment on not wanting to ruin their dinner. Even though he was VERY tempted to.

"Ah...perhaps I pulled away too late."

He tried to joke softly with an awkward chuckle. He still blinked, however, when Oliver seemed focused on whiffing the detective for a moment. He wasn't exactly sure why, but as the PI cracked his joke, it became clear. It was like the room paused for a second as Azazel grew completely silent and some invisible meter was quickly pushing up towards the max. Grabbing Oliver's hand, the man pulled him closer to his form again and gave him another passionate and lingering kiss. When he felt satisfied with that, he pulled away and gave his companion's lip a gentle nibble.

"The lamb is trying to be the lion. How cute. But I still prefer devouring you whole instead of the other way around. However, I promised myself that I would behave, so, the lion and lamb need to put a pin in this for now so they can eat. I would hate to put all of our preparation to waste."

He pulls away completely with a smile before he held out his arms at his sides so that Oliver could put the apron on him.

    Hope the kind
