Chevy smiled at her offer. "No no, I insist you not worry about me. I will be alright with time. Focus on healing yourself." he nodded as he slowed his walk. A familiar door, at least to him, came into view and he excused himself from being her support briefly enough to unlock his quarters and hold the door open for you.
He shot his arm out and extended it, waiting until she had made her way through the door before stepping inside himself and letting it close softly.
What she'd see before her was a neat and tidy living space that almost looked as if no one lived here at all. Objects were neatly in their places on the shelving, dust was almost non existent and the window cracked to let in the sweet smells and sounds of the outside life. "This way." he began to motion her towards the bed before stopping.
She had wanted a meal, right.
"Second thought, here." he lead her to the couch and propped up several cushions there for her. He excused himself yet again and went to a closet, pulling out a plush blanket and setting it on the arm of the couch. "You can rest here while I find a suitable meal." he smiled, standing by the ready if she needed help getting comfortable.

Details of this door gained extra attention, While Chevalier opened the door Sapphire really took note of the details. Grain of the particular door, knob setting, hinges even the quick distance between both the door and its relation to the others near by. No two apple trees were the same, even within the tree there are changes.
Flash studying for future references, the fauness walked confidently through the open doorway. Casually, an observer might be forgiven for thinking this wasn't the first time she'd been in this room. That was, unless they knew the owner of the room.
Very nice room, could use a little bit of personality. Allowing her unfortunate landing pad fuss a little, a plan was forming. Sitting where indicated and accepting a blanket with grace, she thanked me, "This is lovely, thank you. Please don't go through too much trouble on my account."
Hoofs crossed comfortably, proper lady like poise settling as easily as fabric falling. In side the tree her wings tended to behave more mildly, always felt like the Tree had the power to suppress them in more confined spaces. Just keep it up. Thinking about it even a moment had one of them starting to open. Looking back a her fears reminding her they were there, she shot her head back forward eyes just a bit wider.
Clearing her throat to hold down the panic, Sapphire reassured him, "I really don't need anything fancy, no trouble on my account." With food and sitting down for a few moments, he'd get the rest.

Chevy nodded thoughtfully, but politely declined her notion to not worry. It simply wasn't his character to treat someone so sup-par. He'd at least make sure she had something warm and or refreshing to fill her belly after a day like this. "No trouble really, just making sure you are properly taken care of."
He then held of a finger in thought and excused himself again, moving over to a table and grabbing a blank piece of parchment and a quill. Dipping it into an ink bottle he began to carefully address a note to the residents of the farm she had briefly mentioned as to her whereabouts and that there was no need for worry. After he had written it all out he signed the bottom of the note and rolled it up, grabbing a piece of ribbon to tie it together. "Give me but a few moments." he asked again and disappeared out the door.
Several minutes later he returned, the door opening softly so as to not startle her as he cleared his throat to announce his presence again. "Sorry to have left you for so long. On the way to deliver the letter to the one responsible for noting your family I ran into my Mother." he said, looking a bit sheepish as he entered the room, now a rather large basket in hand, a blanket spilling over one edge between it and a wicker lid. "A brief explanation as to what happened and.... well she provided me with necessities for both us." he half laughed, something that was unusual for him really. Perhaps a sort of nervous tick?
Moving back towards his general table he began to sift through its contents, gently pulling out fruits, breads, veggies, bowls and utensils.

A thousand little notes complied by the moment. Small things like where the ink and papers were, that he had such lovely ribbon and the sincerity in which he looked after her. Pointing out that she could only relax if he was also looked after, while a valid point, seemed a card to hold on to for a better moment. For now, rather than walk against the stream, she remained still and watchful.
"Of course, take your time, and thank you." Certainly her parents would be glad to know she was fine, wither they chose to worry after that was hard to say. Suppose so long as they don't come here themselves and take her home, than they are okay.
Left to her own devices while he left to deliver the message to whoever was going to bring it home, there was time. He'd refused her offers to help him, not that he'd have much of a choice much longer. Ladies knew how to get their way, after all. Meanwhile, what to leave behind as a thank you? Ah now, just what had he had in his hand a few moments ago?
Unsure how long she'd have, portraits and real life sketches seemed not worth the risk.
Helping herself to a bit of paper and the writing tools, Sapphire began to draw a more sweeping, abstract gift for him. Without access to color, the images were sweeping, made up of curves and fluid line work. Tight details wouldn't show through the piece, but certain significant ones did. Like a lot of her work, there was a lot of attention given to the flowing tail over the hardly there bit on her own figure. Another feature he had that she didn't, a cutie mark while more generalized and abstract, was clearly his. Lastly sweeping wings cut out to the side of the figure while her figure lacked them. With the horn, per typical aesthetic, the horn had a little 'light' glow on the top.
the scene was so general it was hardly more than a few vertical curves versus horizontal. Wasn't much, but was all the time she felt safe devoting to something as silly as a drawing.
Hiding the picture for now, to be found later if she was lucky, Sapphire made sure to put everything else back as it seemed to fit.
Just in time, it seemed, her kind Knight appeared once more. Well provisioned it seemed! His explanation earned a chuckle from her as well. "My mom would do the same, yours sounds lovely." That was so kind of her, to see to they had food and hopefully less of a strain on him. The laugh, sad effort of one but a laugh all the same, was a good sign.
The polite thing to do was ask if she could help, the wise thing to do was to help without asking. He'd have a harder time saying no of she didn't ask the question.

Chevy was surprised when she came over to help and at first he was going to tell her to please sit back down...but something made him pause.
It rather felt nice to have help with these kinds of things, even if it was something small that didn't really take much effort for him. He gave her a soft smile and offered her a plate. "Please, help yourself to whatever sparks your fancy." he said, stepping aside slightly so that she could join him closer to the basket.
It had been a while since he had been close to another faun that wasn't his brother, sister, mother or father....and he had to admit that this felt nice. She seemed so gentle and sweet, if not a bit troubled in the wing department but he was sure he could help her with that sometime.
"Perhaps when you feel better, we can test those wings out again.... slowly of course." he added, turning towards her with a warm smile.

Sapphire accepted it offer, standing comfortably beside him as she accepted the plate. Their options were exquisite, she really must thank his mother for efforts. Her own mother would likely have some great ideas when she got home and relayed her adventure. For now, she carefully selected a few fruits and carrots. The apple slices were arranged like flower petals with the carrot stem and grape leaves. Once happy with her composition, she offered her thanks "Thank you, I should like to extend a thanks to your Mother the next chance I get as well. This wonderful." Good food well displayed made the most amazing meals.
Only a few hours away from home and the apples still reminded her of it.
Smiling, she moved to the other side of him so she wasn't obstructing the basket. Rather than start eating, the fauness held her plate until he had his so they could enjoy their meal together.
His offer to test her wings out earned a slightly hesitant small laugh. Looking at the currently misbehaving appendages definitely brought her doubts about it. How embarrassing would it be for him to see her flailing about in the sky like a drunk duck?
On the other hoof, having him around would make her feel safer. So after scrunching her nose up at the naughty appendages one last time, she looked back. "It can't hurt to try." Bad choice of words, Sapphire, "Well much." With much more warmth to the chuckle, she took a hand to brush her mane back and added, "I'd be happy to accept the offer, thank you."
With a date set. Well not a date - date. 'Really Sapphire you are going to turn red and worry him about a fever!' With plan set, she joined him when he was set to eat and enjoyed her time with a new friend.
