Tragedy at the Festival Before the previous semester started there was the yearly festival. One to help greet the students: new and old. It was a way to get used to the grounds and the people there. A time to relax before the classes began. Unfortunately, disaster fell upon the festival in the name of Queen. Countless civilians died in hopes of proving a point. The news outlets went wild with the story. Spinning their own narrative. One they thought would gain fame. Just like with anything, parts were true while others were not. The truth is Queen wanted social reform--to get rid of the system were heroes strive for fame and fortune. One where civilians aren't caught in the middle of a war between what might be considered good and evil.
A good amount of time has passed since then. Queen is still being whispered in the streets. Who knows what the group is doing behind the scenes. What is important to address, at the moment, is the school. Shortly after the tragic event, Ander went into a rocky slumber while his light dome protected the school--which left Ada in charge for a period of time. Now he is back to his normal self so to speak. New security has been put into place so he doesn't have to use his peculiarity constantly. Students are allowed to go off the grounds if they get permission and go in a group. They have to be back in their dorm buildings by dark. Everything has calmed down and has been dealt with to the best of anyone's ability.

The First Third of the Year The first semester of the school year went well. Before classes started there was a field day event to lift spirits. Classes went by without any outside disturbances--at least nothing directly related to the school. In the city, there were typical things going on. News articles have spun tales about the Orphanage Massacre, however. It was a hot topic. Queen's group has been said to be disbanded without there being any details given. Nothing related has happened since the festival. People seemed to have forgotten both tragedies or at least moved on.
The Exiles have been staying hidden in the shadows so far. Getting information and striking only when needed. They might have only appeared to have taken care of the Orphanage, but there were other targets in the works.

The Current Story The students are going to be out in the city taking a lesson in real-life work so they can put what they learned so far to use while a couple of Exile members will be scouting the school. The detectives will be investigating the ruins to potentially add more to the mystery.
