 The year is 2020, in an alternate version of Earth where back in the 1900s, a discovery was made where dragons surged into existance. At first Chaos consumed the earth till humanity found that Dragons were just as afraid and tried surviving. Dragons seemed to be searching for something when a dragon found a human and a bond was formed. The dragons could bound their souls to a human, creating strong connections allowing humans to live longer and be stronger. Some dragons were large brutes, that helped with construction or small that acted like pigeons in a park, living along side normal animals. Most dragons larger then a small dog could bond with a human, some out of survival, some at random, while some at first meeting. Cody Mikao, a tech major at the draco university, was apart of an internship that was apart of an expedition to the deserts of eygpt where its believed they found ruins around a dragon god from ancient times. Cody was to help the team by keeping the cameras mounted on the tera dragons, which were flightless ground dragons best known for digging. Their handlers were a bit like bullies and at one of the tunnels of the burrowed ruins, a dragon swung its tail knocking Cody into a pillar. The handler laughed at the request through his dragons bond but the impact caused the tunnel to become unstable. Cody got separated and had to explore the ruins, stumbling upon a large rounded murky crystal. Curious ad almost drawn to it, he barely touched it when a crack violently formed. Freaking out, Cody fled and soon found a thinly buried side entrance and was free. The evening, Cody sighed as he didnt tell the expedition leader about the crystal and hoped they wouldnt know he cracked the artifact. He was sitting at a desk monitoring screens and sensors for raiders or intruders when he noticed something move infront of a camera. The sensor blinked as well, so he picked up a radio, "Hey Jara, are you by the east part of the ruins, i noticed something pass the camera." He asked but the guard confirmed nothing was there. Cody was a bit nervous as he was close to that camera so he got up and walked to the tent flap, but pulling it open he noticed dragon eyes staring him down as he let out a yelp as he jumped back, tripping on himself at the mysterious dragon in front of him.

 Cynder, a poison and Crystal dragon , tilted her head a bit at the human in front of her. She then took a step forward, since she was unable to fly, before she sniffed at Cody from afar and came over to his hand smelling it a bot. Her breath would feel cool instead of warm on Cody's skin. Her kind of dragon was extremely rare, so they were not really seen around here. They mostly lived in environments like deserts and tropical places. since they were cold blooded. After she sniffed Cody's hand, she nuzzled it wanting attention from Cody. She then sat before him, before some of Cody's coworkers who heard him yelling inside of his tent. Cynder hissed at the men, hiding behind Cody not really sure about the coworkers that were looking at her.

Tempest The Dusk Lycanroc Cody closed his eyes for a moment but as he felt the dragon get close, but feeling its cold breath, he peeked up at it. He saw the dragon sniffing at him before it nuzzled his hand almost like a pet or dog would wanting affection. He was surprised even when she sat before him as if waiting for him to show affection. As his cohorts arrived and looked at them before noticing she got behind him and growled at them. They seemed on edge but Cody got up, holding his hands up to them to stay back but he gently rubbed the dragons side, "Its fine... they wont hurt you." He said as he looked back at them, looking at the dragon expect who was also trying to identify what this mysterious dragon was.

Cynder sat behind Cody as he rubbed her side. Though she was just hatched, she was the size of a small race horse. She nuzzled Cody's hand as he rubbed her side, loving the attention she was getting. Though she was a little too cool temperature wise, she started to sniff around for the gem mine. She managed to find her way outside, and over towards the food tent but stopped just to the side before she started to dig. She could sense the gem stones she loved to eat, and those that were extremely valuable. Once she struck gemstones, she sat next to the hole and started to eat, the crunching of the gemstones and her 'stronger than diamonds' fangs sounded like she was crunching on some really hard bones. Though they were just rocks, her venom was able to turn them to gemstones that were worth more than diamonds in the modern world.

Tempest The Dusk Lycanroc Cody felt her cool scales and tried to keep her calm as she seemedto be interested in him. When she began to sniff around and leave the tent, the others backing up and moving out of the random dragons way. As she dug in the sand, they soon heard what sounded like bone crunching which caused concerned looks from the dragon experts thinking she was eating fossils or something. Cody moved closer as did a dragon expert who were both surprised to find her eating gems but not only that, but the expert noticed the venom from her jaws was landing on stone and starting to crystalize into more gems, "Shes a rare one... i havent seen a crystal dragon, and thought they were practically extinct." He stated as one of the diggers smirked, "I say we sell the beast if its so rare." He stated as the others nodded but the expert shook his head, "No, we need to take it to a lab to study!" He stated but Cody looked at them, "Seriously... It? You just called the dragon a she, and she is still a creature that is scared of all you and im not expert but shes acting childish and scared." He stated as he moved between Cynder and the group.

HealingAssass1n ((I'm changing her size to about the size of a full grown Jack russell Terrier dog. At full size she'll be about the size of a clydesdale Horse which is really big. Cynder hissed at the group of men coming towards her. That is, before Cody stood between them. It was almost like he understood her. She nudged his hand a bit standing on his leg almost like a dog would. Though she was only a baby, she felt a connection with Cody. Though it wasn't clear if she would ever accept his cohorts. Cynder liked Cody because he was being gentle with her and seemed to care. She then started to wander around before finding her way outside, into the desert area. Before she left the shaded area it was harder to see her scales, but now you could see they were a navy and dark magenta coloring with small diamond like patterns within them.

Tempest The Dusk Lycanroc Cody looked at her, even though she was the size of a dog, she still had a decent roar but he petted her side when she nudged his hand, as he tried to keep her and his cohorts calm. When she began to wander off into the sand, he quickly rushed and stopped her, "Wait, we cant go out in the desert, you have to stay here for a bit as we figure out whats going on..." he said before realizing he was speaking to a young dragon who probably couldnt understand him, like trying to teach a puppy to not wander off when its curious about everything.

Cynder tilted her head a bit as she was stopped by Cody from going into the warm environment. Her kind could go without water for a really long time, at least a month depending on where they were located. Cynder was no exception to this. Cynder then opened up her wings, flapping them a bit in confusion wanting to know why Cody was keeping her from getting warm.

Tempest The Dusk Lycanroc He knew it was about to turn nighttime and it would get cold but he looked at her, "You shoukd stay in sight... i know you are probably wanting to leave but its gonna get cold out there soon, but the fires here are warm." He explained thinking that since she already ate a bunch of rocks from the ground that she didnt eat meat like normal dragons so she probably was looking for heat and when night feel the surface sands got cold surprisingly.
