The capital of Renais--Renais Castle--from Ephraim's world. Renais is a kingdom originally from the continent of Magvel, and it is one of the five Sacred Stones nations. During the War of the Stones, its last king--King Fado--was killed and the kingdom was left to ruin, crumbling under the uncaring rule of the traitor Orson. Ephraim and Eirika would eventually return to liberate their homeland, killing Orson and vowing to rebuild their war-torn kingdom. After the war, the final remaining Sacred Stone--originally belonging to the Theocracy of Rausten--was given to Ephraim by Mansel and now resides within the hidden reliquary. The soul of the Demon King--Fomortiis--is entrapped within the final Sacred Stone.
Ephraim has succeeded his father as King of Renais, and his ascension was the beacon of hope for the citizens who had been neglected by Orson. In the time since he has worked tirelessly with Eirika to restore the home that they both loved. Though there's still much to be done, the citizenry consider Ephraim a legend-in-the-making for his victory in the war followed immediately by his work in restoring Renais, with many referring to him with the lofty title of "Restoration King."
Renais Castle is a sizable castle with mountains in the surrounding areas, though the it's surrounded mostly by plains and a small adjacent forest.

Within the castle walls, there's a large courtyard area before getting to the castle interior. Inside is a large castle with several corridors and different areas, and at the center is the throne room, where the throne sits (as the name would imply.)

To the right of the throne room is the other half of the castle, with the south corridor providing an opening to the outside which gives an excellent view of the beautiful landscape of Renais.

The north leads up a staircase towards the royal bedchambers. The king's bedchambers are in the left room and the bedchambers that formerly belonged to Ephraim and Eirika in their youth are to the right. Currently, Ephraim lives in the king's and Eirika lives in their original room.
