The re-release of older items had been a tricky topic before. Though if most Gaians would like certain items to be released, we would totally support it. We will look into this later this month.

Not sure if you meant you released a fix for the Loiterer Achievement or if you released a fix for the daily chance cart not turning gold. If it was the latter, it did not work. More than a week has passed and the daily chance cart is still red. Please fix. Thanks

The fix was for the Daily Chance reporting the right number of days. Will issue another fix later this week.

Not opening on time
Yesterday (Day 6) (and a day previously I can't remember exactly which one) the gcash pass did not open at 10 am. Now I understand that there can be some issues still with the servers and timing and such that might prevent it from being opened for a few more hours (such is the case with the day previously) (even though it has been stated that they SHOULD open at 10). But the one yesterday (Day 6) did not open at all until today, about 24 hours after it was supposed to open :/
Now also today (Day 7), the new box no longer states that it will open at 10 am PST, and just has a link to the FAQ. (IT also is not opening although 10 am has passed)
I'm just curious if this is something to expect from the pass system from now on? Was it just a first of the month/year hiccup?

Hi there,
We are working out some bugs with the system, but please be assured that even if you were not able to open it for a certain day, once you can it will grant what should be inside it. It will then turn into the next one and you should be able to access the contents of that one when appropriate.

I suspect it's a bug with the new system. No matter what you should be getting the full amount. Anything not opened today can be opened tomorrow, along with tomorrow's prize (which means you'll receive 200GC tomorrow if you missed today).

Yes, just go to your inventory and you should see the first day you missed. When you open that one, the next day will appear.

They should all open up on the their respective days! (I believe we're on box 7? The holidays make me forget what day of the week it is). All the GCash will be there even if you don't log in for a week, month, or year! None of the boxes will disappear, it will just have a box that will be populated with the next day's box, and so on

As a once-avid fisher, I would like to submit a potential idea that will both increase Gaia's cash flow and encourage Gaians to play again. Introduce Master Bait, which hooks 0% Junk with increased Rare Fish chance. Personally, I would happily pay 1¢ per play (that is, buy M Class Bait for 1GC a pop).
(I would also encourage you to add a new fishing location Aekea River to match the map location: https://www.gaiaonline.com/worldmap/?m=9 with new fish to increase the incentives to play. Trust me, this would be a major influx of cash for Gaia Online. I would make it a top priority going into 2019 to ensure the site can self-sustain and "stay afloat.")
((I also once advised that a Nitemare Rod should be added as a choice for Gaians when they reach the highest tier. Or, at this point, perhaps add an additional tier for those dedicated Gaia Fishers.))

There is a bit of a delay in things, as resources are tight. We are focused on the mobile app right now and hope that eventually we will have a new version that works on both web and mobile.

So, I want to thank you for the item sink.. But you did the same thing you did last time. You went off market pricing, making it possible for a gold shop emoji face to be turned in for over 2000 points, instantly finishing the event.
Please, do an item sink again soon, but do it right:
1. Close down the gold shops during the event (and take the time to up the prices for plat [I'd go even further to say merge items of the same layer into one item to make them worth the new prices, ie all gloves in one item, all pants of one layer in one item]).
2. Make the event about the # of items donated, not the value.
3. Make a value part that doesn't count any gold shop items.
4. ???
5. Leave the event running full time and fix the item economy.
6. Work on gold sinks (like expensive backgrounds in Dernier Cri).

We appreciate the feedback and I also just have some personal thoughts on the matter,
we know everyone is going to participate in the event at their own pace. Some people really only do have X amount of items in their inventory and Y amount of Platinum, so if they choose to participate that way, then I (personally) am okay with that! For everyone else who has hoarded things, caches, wing stamps, blue tank tops, etc, we think this is a wonderful opportunity for them to do some spring cleaning! At the end of the day, I believe, people will only get rid of what they want to get rid of, but if they happen to get rid of more than necessary, more power to them!
I believe users still enjoy caroling and the items that come with it, so at the time, shutting down gold shops wouldn't have been in their favor.
We plan on doing more sinks in the future when time and resources permit.
There was a lot of consideration on high priced gold shop items, but from past feedback there is a lot of dislike from users when we tend to price anything higher than 500p in gold shops. But we will always be circling back to these thoughts as time passes.

Any updates on issues causing people to sometimes see blank slots on these wheels? (Clearing cache can be a temp fix.) I could understand if it's related to Gateway errors in downloading, but it's a unsettling issue to those that have had the misfortune to land on one and have no idea what's going on and if they got anything.

I've been told to clear your cache for it to work, I haven't been able to recreate this issue myself, but other users have told me that has worked. Otherwise, let me know if this doesn't work. Edit: sorry I never finished my train of thought, how often do you have to clear your cache?
It's hard for me to say as well haha, I want to assume people who have cleared cache have been doing a full clear though.

Gaia is running a tighter ship now as we made some changes to make sure that we don't have any side projects, so now there are fewer people here in Gaia HQ as we press on. We are currently working on new events as well as the new Gaia mobile app. We do have plans for other events and features, though we'll announce those once we have an idea on when they'll be released.

Gaia's mobile app isn't a game, but that's what we are focusing on first. It'll allow us to focus on the core important features, and also let us think about a better look and feel for the future. We will work on refreshing games shortly after that.

a friend of mine still does not have their merch tickets fully resolved; the code they were given doesn't work on the site, the tickets are still in their inventory, and most importantly they're confused about a few things and need some questions answered.
Who can they talk with to get this all sorted out quickly? It's been literally years since you guys made promises to get these merch tickets resolved and the fact that my friend still doesn't have theirs done is tbh ridiculous.

Our system wasn't initially designed for such an option, so it'll require quite an overhaul to add this type of feature. We can potentially design that for hair, but for items it'll be very tough, as items have different color schemes and being able to identify what part of an items belongs to which color scheme is much more difficult than an item that only consist of the color that should be swapped. It's much easier done in 3D.

Every since server migration the buttons on rigs/chance items have been stacked instead of side by side. This results in the page being stretched and having to scroll (sometimes pretty far) to see all of the play options. Can this be fixed?
I'm currently using Chrome on Windows 10, if that matters.

Cinemas was written in Flash, so that's another feature that we should move to HTML 5 before re-release. We love that feature, and we'll probably run a few petitions to see what to build after the mobile app is ready.

There have been changes implemented on Gaia that are often not mentioned via staff alert, and can often be found via staff post in places such as Site Feedback, Lanzer's journal, and Gaia Community Discussion, such as the disabling of coding in gift messages. Could a devlog become a thing at the end of a week that lists all changes, be they major or minor? Or at least an alert that leads back to Lanzer's journal with the changes he publishes?
