Every time she had heard the story, she thought her father had been heroic and wanted to be just like him. She would go along on his research trips when it wasn’t too dangerous and she would give him a second set of eyes on his books.
Even today she still thought of her dad as her hero. Still wanted to graduate academy and follow his career path and well it occurred to her looking out at the scenery that she was there. Graduation was coming up and she was ready for the next stages of her life. She could take a more active role in helping him. Sure she would go to leviathan, or maybe asterion to learn the necessary classes to be taken seriously when her dad pushed her to publish her own work... which hopefully would be several years down the road. Maybe then the next time they made this trip she would get out of the car and show her in-laws that no matter how they looked down on her ancestry or her hallowed eyes that she wasn’t worth something. It was enough to bring another smile to her face and she know was quite looking forward to graduation. It was time to take the next step.
