Some cats find that there isn't a clan that suits their personality or their needs, and set off to start something new. Something greater than that which came before them.

Any cat with a certain reputation- the ability to make others follow them, to inspire leadership and trust in others- may find themselves wanting to start a new clan. Clans may hold similar beliefs to one another, or they may be radically different in ideals.

What those ideals are is up to you to decide.

Leadership Requirements
In order for a cat to be the leader of a clan, there are a few requirements they must meet.
  • The cat must have mentored an apprentice successfully (in which the apprentice has grown to warrior stage themselves)
  • Five completed roleplays
  • Be the deputy when the leader passes on/retires. That, or their cat may strike out and start a new clan.

Quote:
This round of applications are going to be a little different, as currently, it is far too soon for any cat to meet the requirements needed to be a leader. So when you nominate the leader of your clan, keep in mind their personality and how well they represent the ideals of your clan.

Quote:
In order to be considered a "clan" you will need:
- a leader
- a deputy
- a total of at least 5 cats (must be Warrior/Adults to count)

Quote:
Please keep in mind that it is up to staff to decide whether or not your clan is accepted. If your idea is not accepted, your clan does not exist.

Quote:
You may pledge your cats to multiple clans, but they must choose one of the chosen clans once it is finalized.

As an important note- each individual player may only own ONE clan leader at a time. If they have a deputy ready to become a leader and a leader already in existence, this must be worked out before the deputy may become a leader.

Username: Tigeria
Clan Name: Moonclan

Medicine Cat: n/a
Member:
    Storm - Subducting
    Rose - Peterpan_da144
    Petunia - Peterpan_da144
    Nut- Peterpan_da144 (doesn't count towards the 5)
(add more as needed)
Clan Camp: The clan is situated in a grove of trees within a fairy ring of a variety of mushrooms (Edible mushrooms nothing poisonous for cats mostly button or puffball mushrooms). The medicine den is nestled in the middle of the grove the pregnancy dens are in a semi circle around the medicine cat den. The remainder of the resting dens are located near the outside of the fairy ring. The open area in the pregnancy den semi circle is used for clan meetings and has three boulders. A tall boulder for the leader to announce the meeting, a slightly smaller one for the deputy, and the final boulder for the medicine cat/apprentice.
Clan Territory Features: A grove that has a river that runs along side of it, 3 boulders for clan meetings to happen, roughly flat ground that has a fairy ring in the middle of a grove with "premade" medicine cat den (rock formation of three flat rocks resting together. Two long pieces in a triangle topped by a flat roof rock.)
Clan Primary Prey Types: Rabbits, Squirrels, Mice, Birds, frogs/toads, and the occasional Fish
Clan Primary Hunting Types and Techniques: The cats of this clan are well versed in ground hunting. Their special quirk is hunting amphibians. Hunting frogs or toads is much the same as mice, but the first pounce is to try and corner the frog for easier catching. The cats are taught to keep low to the ground and stalk their prey, however, they are also taught to fish by watching the surface of the water, pushing the fish to a shallower spot, and striking below what they see on the surface.
Clan Primary Predators: Twolegs primarily, with rouges and loners as secondary.

Clan Cats Attitudes: This clan is all about Family ideals and accepting every cat for who they are regardless of their past. They strive to raise well balanced kittens that have the same drive for family. They are a very friendly clan wishing to help those in need. Their motto is "It takes a clan to raise a warrior"
Clan Practices: Breeding is done differently for Moonclan, Males inside of Moonclan generally do not breed with the females of Moonclan. This is to stave off a genetic bottleneck. Before the breeding seasons are to happen a meeting is held to discuss potential clans to seek an outside male from and which females will be volunteering their time and body to carry kittens. Male kittens are promised to the clan of the father, however, should a female wish to hold her sons close a replacement apprentice/warrior is sent instead. Pregnant females are hidden from the outside clans to ensure their upmost safety. Outside of the clan the mothers of the apprentices that leave is held as a very close secret. Males that discuss who their partner for the season was are banished and the clan the cat was from is put on a probationary period to drive home that the female's privacy is to be upheld.
All kittens, regardless of who their parents are, are taught how to be leaders/deputies. They are also taught basic to moderate levels of medicine as a safety measure should a medicine cat not be available.
Clan Beliefs: Moonclan believes in Sunclan. They hold vigils for their fallen and bury their bodies in a "cemetery" barely in the outskirts of their territory. They honor their dead by leaving the largest and smoothest river stone on top of their grave and by bringing flowers to the cemetery each Newleaf and Leaf-fall, during Leaf-bare they clear the snow and fallen leaves from the "tombstones".

Clan View on Others: Loners, Rouges, and Kitty pets are welcomed in the clan boarder. Moonclan is very open with regards to other animals and cats. They are a bit wary of non-cat individuals, however, after a period of time spent watching them closely they will warm up to non-cat company.
Cats from this clan strengths: Moonclan is amazing at childcare with medicine being a close competitor. They raise their next generations to be kind and caring while able to use medicine to help those in need. They are not particularly the strongest clan in terms of fighting prowess, however, they can hold their own in a fight.
Cats from this clan weaknesses: Moonclan is far too trusting. They are open to everyone and that leads to the adage that they are "soft of hearts and minds".

Warriors for our Clan!

Username: Caffeinecraving
Clan Name: Bloodclan (Posting now so i dont lose it while i try to gather support for bloodclan!)

Clan Leader: Bloodoath
Deputy: (DM/PM Caffe)
Medicine Cat: (DM/PM Caffe)
Member: Possibly So far(not promised): Snakefang, Pigeonflight,

Clan Camp: Location to be determined but he wants somewhere safe and protected, far away from loners and kittypets.
Clan Territory Features: A stream would be great. Even if goldenleaf isn’t with him he would still want fish. An open area for training fighting as Bloodoath would want to make sure he had strong warriors to protect borders he would set up.
Clan Primary Prey Types: Fish, Bloodoath would teach his clan how to fish efficiently since he loves to fish and seems to be pretty good at it. Water Voles are also found near the river as well as some snakes, frogs and salamanders.
Clan Primary Hunting Types and Techniques: Fishing of course, Which will lead to a hunting style that is less running more waiting. Probably not eating rabbits…
Clan Primary Predators: Foxes and Fishers, Snakes and anything that is willing to cross the river.

Clan Cats Attitudes: Bloodclan cats are loyal to their clan and their way of life. They are not necessarily 'hotheaded' but are willing to fight as they pride themselves on their ability to fight and win. They reject the idea of kittypets and loners. Their mountain clan blood was what got them here and thus should be taken pride in it.

Clan Practices: Only cats descended from 'Blood of the original MountainClan' is what sets them apart.
Leader becomes -seer
Happily works with other Clans and their desire to have kits, with strict understanding that some come back to them. Specifically boys if Moonclan and boys or girls from other clans if they want this. While he doesn’t mind breeding outside the clan as long as the other cats are from the original mountianclan lines, he knows his own clan needs warriors as well. So he encourages them to find mates within bloodclan, afterall they will be guaranteed*(more or less) to be original mountain clan blood, if we bottle neck we will deal with it.

To be part of BloodClan you must be of Blood of the original MountainClan, or direct unblemished decedents. Bloodoath will not accept any cat that is or was a loner/kittypet, this includes kits, He will very happily donate them to a different clan. The further away from loner or kittypet they are the more likely they are to be accepted. Ie... Kittypet will have to be bought into the clan.... 4th decendent of a kittypet that bred to mountain blood... then blood... then blood etc... has a much better chance of just being taken in to the clan.

Ritualistic behaviors:
Becoming an apprentice: The first bleeding. There is a large sharply jagged rock to let the cats cut their paws on.
“ In blood there is the truth of our past so we look to our warrior ancestors and prove by blood, BLANKkit, do you wish to learn in the ways of Bloodclan and train to become a Warrior in your own right?”
“I do”
“Step forward and expose your blood for the clan to see.” (Kit would step forward to the rock and press/slice a paw against the rock. Once it bleeds, leader continues) “From this point forward you shall be known as BLANKPaw, NAMENAME, You are a (traits)cat, it has come time for you to have an apprentice. You will mentor BLANKpaw.” Warrior walks forward and licks the bloody paw.
Clan Calls the Apprentice’s name.

Becoming a warrior: The second bleeding.
“ In blood there is the truth of our past so we look to our warrior ancestors and prove by blood, BLANKpaw, You have proved yourself to be a (Traits) cat and it is time that you take your place as a full warrior of Bloodclan. Step forward and Expose your blood to the clan.“
“BLANKpaw, from this day you will be known as BLANKNAME, as a Full warriors, present your blood to SunClan.” Warrior then puts his bloody pawprint onto the rock face next to the other pawprints of other warriors.
Clan Calls Warrior’s name and the Warrior takes up Night Vigil.
The warrior code in Bloodclan:

Clan Beliefs: Believes very strongly in their warrior ancestors. While they believe that Sunclan is real and holds knowledge over them that they could only dream of, they also believe that the life they live is for them to control as the will. Ie... if sunclan says Famine... they have the choice to sit and starve or find food else where....

Clan View on Others: Loathe kittypets and loners(at least their leader does) each individual is allowed their own opinions but the clan wil be closed to kittypets and Loners at least at current.

Cats from this clan strengths: Very Strong cats, they are good at fighting and are cunning and ambitious.
Cats from this clan weaknesses: Their ambition could be a definitive failing point, as well as running the clan too closed may lead to a bottleneck, they are notoriously slow in their hunting approach (wont be winning any foot races) Their blood rituals could potentially lead to an infection among the clan.... but we dont talk about that until we have an rp plot for it?! xD

Code in Bloodclan: 1. Defend your Clan, even with your life. Blood spilled in battle is honorable. You may have friendships with cats from other Clans even family ties, but your loyalty must remain to your Clan, as one day you may meet them in battle. “Blood spilled and shared is thicker than the blood that ties you to family”
2. Elders, queens, and kits and medicine cats must be fed before apprentices and warriors. Unless they have permission, apprentices may not eat until they have hunted to feed the elders.
3. A kit must be at least six moons old to become an apprentice.
4. Newly appointed warriors will keep a silent vigil for one night after receiving their warrior name. Silent… so the others don’t have to listen to your chatter, and can get some sleep.
5. The deputy will become seer when the previous seer dies, retires or is exiled. A seer is expected to retire when they would retire to the elders den if a warrior, no cat that is disabled will be allowed to be a seer
6. After the death or retirement of the deputy, the new deputy must be chosen before sunhigh. No pregnant cat will be chosen as deputy. Queen is an important role, if your life has led you to that, and a new deputy is needed, then it must not be the will of sunclan that you be deputy. Cats that are already deputy are expected not to get pregnant, if they will be expected to step down. Males have no problem as they can be deputy and father of kits no problem.
7. Boundaries must be checked and marked daily. Challenge all trespassing cats.
8. The word of the seer is the warrior code.
9. An honorable warrior does not need to kill other cats to win their battles, unless they are outside the warrior code or if it is necessary for self-defense.
10. A warrior rejects the soft life of a kittypet and the solitary life of a Loner.
11. Female Medicine cats may not have kits, as it would take them away from being able to work for the clan. Mates are fine but no kittens.
12. Kits must stay in camp until they are apprenticed.
13. The safety of the Clan is more important than the safety of one cat.
14. Only cats of pure Mountain blood can be Clan members. (Divine intervention has to be accepted and thus if you wanna implant your loner please talk to caffe(currently other leader owner later) so we can come up with a prophecy or something to make it feasible! Also expect your cat will have a rough time in Bloodclan.)

Warriors for our Clan!

Username: belloblossom
Clan Name: RobinClan

Clan Leader: Robinpaw/song - belloblossom (she's due to grow soon, but just leaving her apprentice cert as a placeholder until then.)
Deputy: DM/PM me if interested!
Medicine Cat: DM/PM me if interested
Member: Maple - AlicornPlayhouse (will be Warrior)
Bell - AlicornPlayhouse (will be Warrior) (potential for Leafpaw?)
Lin - belloblossom (will be Warrior)
Fawn - belloblossom (will be Apprentice, doesn't count for membership as a juvenile)
(Others who have shown interest, but I have yet to get their certs are: Seal - Kovak, Swallow - AgeofTwilight, Creampuff - belloblossom)
Clan Camp: A close-knit tree ring of oaks. The largest and oldest of the trees is referred to as the Old Oak and is where the leader speaks from during Clan meetings. The surrounding oaks can be easily walked across from one another's branches. The leader's den is a cavity of the Old Oak, big enough for maybe two cats to rest comfortably. To the left of the leader's den is the medicine cat's den. The medicine cat's den is in a hollow tree, which still lives and grows, but is big enough to house up to two sick patients and the herb stores. The remaining dens are in hollowed out spaces among the roots of the trees. The ground is firm, so an in cave of dirt isn't likely. Rather than having a ground entrance to the Clan, cats leave the camp via the trees, scampering along the trees that connect close to the circle that is their camp. There is no discernible ground entrance for them.
Clan Territory Features: Prominently featured in a forest where the trees are clustered close together, so that tree-walking is easier. There will need to be a river or few streams through the forest as their water source.
Clan Primary Prey Types: Birds: not limited to small birds either, hawks and owls are considered prey for this Clan as well!
Clan Primary Hunting Types and Techniques: Tree-Walking was first used as a way to hunt birds as well as a way to get around. Specific techniques within may emerge, but for the time being, tree-walking/hunting is the umbrella term for their specific technique used.
Clan Primary Predators: Foxes and badgers are a common ground nuisance, but Twolegs (in the event that they ever try to cut down the trees for whatever reason) will prove to be the biggest predator, whereas the others are a dangerous inconvenience to be driven out.

Clan Cats Attitudes: Traditions will give them strength (passing on the secret of tree-walking), they are supported by their ancestors/closer to SunClan than any other Clan (in the way that that they plant tree seeds to remember their fallen.)
Clan Practices: They practice tree-walking, which is incorporated into their way of life. Beyond using it as a way to get around, to hunt, and if the need arises, in battle, they've also incorporated it into their ceremonies. Rather than sit on the ground gathered around an object and stare up at it, they take to the trees for Clan meetings with the call, "All cats old enough to walk among the branches, come do so for a Clan meeting!"
Apprentice Ceremony: When a kit becomes an apprentice, they must leap from the ground onto the first (low hanging) branch of the Old Oak. Their leader will give them their apprentice name. Their new mentor will walk onto their branch, they'll touch noses, and then their mentor will lead them into the surrounding branches on a tree off the Old Oak.
Warrior Ceremony: When an apprentice becomes a warrior, they will leap from the ground onto the tallest branch they can. Then they will continue climbing until they get to the leader's branch (the second tallest on the Old Oak) and receive their warrior name. The leader will lick their shoulder and they will move to the tallest branch, to sit an observant vigil for the rest of the day to guard the Clan from intruders.
Clan Beliefs: RobinClan believes in SunClan. Beyond sitting a vigil for their dead, when they go to bury the deceased's body, they are buried with a tree seed, so that they are remembered in RobinClan by being able to continue to support the future generations.

Clan View on Others: RobinClan is not as open of cats such as others may be, but they have no stigma on where you came from. If you're a kittypet or a loner, or a rogue who's left another Clan to join one more suited to you, you can come here and face no judgement (with exceptions of like, big bads trying to leave one Clan to come to into theirs.) Initially, they'll be accepting and warm of others and take them at their word that they won't teach tree-walking outside of RobinClan.
When it comes to non-feline others, they're more cautious. Taking to the trees when a threat is near and attacking from above if necessary. They try to stay away from Twolegs. If they can steal rivers, what if they try to go after the trees next?!
Cats from this clan strengths: Their specialty is tree-walking, which means to get from place to place via walking/jumping across from branch to branch. This extends to hunting (birds) via the trees and attacking from them. They also have the ability to keep their maws shut, so they aren't teaching just anyone how to tree-walk willy nilly.
Cats from this clan weaknesses: They're not exceptional at ground hunting/fighting. While their fighting method includes diving at their enemies from trees and eventually fighting on their ground, it can be expected that they may get dependent on taking to the trees when a threat is first seen. This may give them the reputation of being scaredy-cats to others, but they care less about how they're seen and more about the safety and preservation of their own.

Warriors for our Clan!

Username: Blinded By Silence
Clan Name: MountainClan

Clan Leader: Sunsong - Blinded By Silence
Deputy: Goldenleaf - Nymphiea
Medicine Cat: Littleflower - Nymphiea
Member: link to cert - owner (add more as needed)

Clan Camp: Built into the cliffside past the forest, MountainClan's new home is just familiar enough to remind them of home. The Leader's Den is located high in the rocks where they can keep a watchful eye on the goings-on of their cats. The Deputy sleeps in a smaller den below them. A great long crack in the cliff houses the Warrior's Den, where the cats sleep in beds of moss and soft grasses. Near the base of the cliff lies three more dens; the Medicine Cat's Den, the Nursery, and the Elder's Den. The Medicine Cat's Den goes surprisingly deep into the stone. Its entrance is small and well hidden by the brush that lines the cliff side. It is dark, but during the day, sunlight slips through cracks in the stones, lighting the cave with dapples of sunlight. The Nursery is the most well-protected cavern, despite its wider entrance. Thick, waxy holly leave adorned in sharp thorns guard the well-lit room where the queens make their nests. Lastly is the Elder's Den, the largest of the caverns and the easiest to get into. Hidden in the back of a small thicket of gorse lies the entrance where large flat stones offer a great place for sunning.
Clan Territory Features: MountainClan prefers rocky areas much like their mountian homeland.
Clan Primary Prey Types: Mostly ground-prey such as mice and rabbits, with the occasional bird or squirrel.
Clan Primary Hunting Types and Techniques: MountainClan lives in a more open area, so their primary hunting technique is stealth and speed.
Clan Primary Predators: Much like their previous home, by living in such an open area, the clan's biggest predators are large birds.

Clan Cats Attitudes: MountainClan is as strong and true as the mountains they came from. They will now bow to any wind. They endure. Fighting and battle are the last resort as these cats prefer to talk things out but they will defend themselves, and their ideals, to the death.
Clan Practices: MountainCaln is very traditional. They start their day with the dawn patrol, with two more at sun-high and moon-rise. Hunting parties are sent out and mentors train their apprentices. The clan eats as a clan, once when the dawn patrol returns and again before the moon-rise patrol leave.
Clan Beliefs: SunClan is incredibly important to MountainClan, as, without them, they never would have found their new home. They give thanks to SunClan when they make their kills, eat their food, and earn their names. Their dead are buried beneath mounds of stones.

Clan View on Others: MountainClan is not hostile. Any cat who asks for help will be given what they need and sent on their way. It is very rare for loners to be invited into the clan, but not unheard of. Kittypets are far less common, for MountainClan has not forgotten that Two-Legs had stolen their river from them.
Cats from this clan strengths: MountainClan cats are sturdy, unmoving, and hardy.
Cats from this clan weaknesses: MountainClan's weakness is their reluctance to change. While traveling this far from their home was probably the biggest change the clan had ever experienced, they settled in a place very similar to their old home and are very set in their ways.
