Suddenly, a wisp appears out of nowhere, hovers in front of them, then dashes into the darkest path from the fork!  Edward needed to escape to get away from the world and all it's annoyances. His favorite place to distress was anywhere he could be surrounded by nature. Dot enjoyed it immensely too, taking these opportunities to chew on any tasty looking bark; the one aspect the hybrid hated about his little expeditions. His golden eyes searched the lush greenery around him. He decided to go to a different area than he normally would walk through to keep things interesting. If he just walked the same old trail all the time, he'd get board of it and enjoy it less. By the time they had taken a few steps in, Dot had already found a stick to chew on. He patted his tail gently, shaking his head as he continued further. The only thing that he didn't like about his strolls through the woods alone, was that it was just him. Well, him and Dot. Sometimes getting away from it all for a few hours was what he needed, sometimes it was hanging out with friends. Today seemed like a day where he needed both.

Vahtees walked into the woods, because he was in the mood to get close to nature. He wanted to find a spiritual place, a place with a deep connection to Below and Above, one where the spirits would come and communicate. Not the usual ones he saw, on a day to day basis... No, he wanted the kinds that only came out when one was surrounded by the deep forest, the loveliest trees and the rich grass. He had seen photos of this place, and it had entranced him.
"I am sure, suuuuuuuure, that today I will find such a place..." He murmured out loud, not aware that he was not alone.
He walked past the other person, in fact, his eyes wide and excited as he saw an unusually thick tree, one with thickly leaved branches, despite being in fall, and he walked up to it, awe on his face. "Oh yes, I am sure! You, my tall and leafy friend, are surely a sign that this wood is full of the energy I am seeking."

Edward froze as the other started talking. Dot wiggled in worry as the hybrid froze up. "A-are you talking to..." The winged stranger kept walking,[ color=#926536] "... Me...?" He was fully taken by the scenery to even notice him. Dot was amused thinking that this new person was silly. "Talk. Go talk! Funny guy!" Dot exclaimed in a serious of clicks that Edward shaking his head. "I don't know... He seems...." The hallowed hybrid looked over at the guy talking to the tree. "Busy?"Dot pouted, considering their options. "Go and no more sticks!" Edward didn't need any convincing after that. Simply being about to enjoy his walk without the taste of bark in his mouth was enough. "Hi there.... Enjoying yourself?"

Vahtees was gently running his hand along a lower branch, feeling the energy from the tree, when he heard a voice behind him, and he turned halfway towards it, his right hand still on the tree but his eyes on the stranger. He took in the details of the other person, and his three eyes opened wide, and a big grin crossed his face. "Oh! Do you have the Sight, too?" He asked, emphasizing that word in a way that made it clear he did NOT mean 'can you see'. "And yes! It's a wonderful afternoon, perfect for hunting amongst the old woods for places where the Spirits are strongest! Having another here with a Spiritual connection means I truly seem to be blessed today!" Even if the fellow in front of him did not have the Sight, Vahtees saw the five eyes and assumed that they were connected to the Spirits, automatically, even if they did not REALIZE this. He held out his left hand to the other. "I'm Vahtees."

Edward was completely confused. What was this stranger going on about? He looked him over, before noticing his third eye. It was strangely calming that they both had a similar mutation. He was more willing to open up, just from that along. [ color=#926536] "The... Sight?" He pointed to his fifth eye. [ color=#926536] "I suppose? What is it?" Before his question was answered a hand was offered to him to shake. He hesitated for a moment, wondering if this was a good idea, talking to a stranger who hadn't noticed him and was ogling a tree. Dot took this hesitation to step in, licking the offered hand, a goofy smile revealed their sharp teeth. [ color=#926536] "Ah!! I'm sorry!" Edward could taste the remnants of bark on the other's hand. [ color=#926536] "That's Dot. Very... Forward." He shook his head. [ color=#926536] "And I'm Edward."

"The Sight! It's the ability to see things beyond the normal! If not, no worries!" Vahtees was still perfectly enthusiastic. He was still sure the other was connected to the Spiritual side of things, even if they did not know it... He had noticed this amongst the people he had met. Many had no idea they had anything special about them. He was a little startled by the lick to his hand, having expected a simple handshake, but blinked and chuckled. "Well it's a pleasure to meet you, Dot... And you as well, Edward. Perhaps not how I expected things to go, but that's perfectly alright." He turned a little, and patted the tree with the hand that was just licked... Hoping to both dry his hand and give the tree a gift of the spit, while making it look innocent enough. "Look at this old beauty, though... Hanging on even though fall has truly hit. She must be a strong Spirit inside, to be still green." His tone was excited and hopeful. ashes to the wind I KNOW THE EVENT IS OVER I am sorry my muses went deader then a doorknob. If you want to just drop this, I totally understand. I just wanted to reply and give you a chance to reply as well if you want.
