The contests for 09/30 did not experience the same problems as the ones held at 10/01, if there are any errors we will definitely refund the entry fees.

We are facing a few server migration related issues with the arenas right now, hope to have it fixed very soon. We're 90% done with migrating the filesystems, but still have a lot of other work to do!

Inventory shortcuts and lockers are great ideas that we will look into implementing after the migration is complete.

Failing a return of Switchem, how about if you put old Switchem prizes and other Halloween items that are very hard to obtain on Spinami for, say, the duration of the Halloween event? For example, I would love a chance at getting the 2k13 Ornate outfit pieces. I'm sure many people would like a shot at a Jacked-up Shirt. The classics! biggrin

If you've blocked a user, you should not see a thread from him or her. If it's not working then that should be a bug for me to fix. sweatdrop

Not at the very moment as we have a lot of migration related work to do as Halloween event is coming up.
If there are specific issues or problems that is urgent, please let me know here.
Well I'd say it's pretty urgent mostly because some people can't even open their RIG's because they have issues with the Special tab. We've found a work around that will do, but it's really upsetting some people. I have been trying to keep a detailed bug list which is found HERE
This other issue is a bug that deals with the inventory and trades.When one tries to make a trade with someone it starts on the equip tab. The only problem the first page of Equip tab remains loading endlessly. You have to switch to another tab and it will bring up items of that tab. Then you have to switch back to your Equip tab to be able to choose a page number since they don't show up till you do this. As long as what you want to trade people isn't on the first page of your equip tab you can do this work around to do a trade. You might want to add that to your bug squishing list too.
This has been going on for 2 weeks give or take with no word from any mod. or admin. till now. I will be putting up your reply in that thread so others no and we can get the word out that you at least know about it.

We should have more item design contests down the road, that's the best way to submit items.
I see. Can I be nosey and ask for other ways? Or is that the only real way?
There is the option of going the ticket route, some custom tickets allow you to create poses or sets! Many Gaians also like making threads in Site Feedback about what colors, item types or types of poses they would like to see as well.

Are the developers aware of the endless loading screen issue? I made a little thread in the LKO forum and other people are mentioning they are having the same problem. While obviously getting a solution for it would be ideal at this moment, just getting a confirmation that this information will be passed on and a solution comes out in the future is fine as well.

In light of some of the recent 'outing' threads that have been made, will there be a PSA on how to handle such matters properly?
Yup, I initially suggested we start with some general information about how to report off-site matters, what Gaia can do (as we noticed a lot of this activity was happening off-site but with regards to Gaians), and then general information on how to protect yourself, but realized that we could (and should) go a little more in-depth with the information we want to present. So we're planning one out that we hope will have a lot of useful information for everyone in terms of how to deal with these incidents, what to do, protecting yourself, identifying persons who may be trying to engage in this activity, where to get help, how to get help, and more. Along with that updating our Info for Parents and other pages with this updates information as well.
Thank goodness. I hope this could put an end to throwing such matters out in public, since it generates a negative, uncomfortable atmosphere when it's not entirely something that gaia can do anything about the specific claims being made.
And also helpful for any users that just aren't that aware of internet safety and how to properly report these things.

No problem! I agree that the nature of "outing" threads is negative, even if it does alert us to situations that we may not be aware of. We ultimately want to foster a safe environment for Gaians but understand that due to the nature of the internet we can't be everywhere and can't enforce it on every site and program. People will always use other means to try and get what they want. However, we can do a better job of surfacing information that users should know and letting them know how we can help. That's why when this initially came up I was quick to want to put out an informational thread, but knew that something quick and incomplete would just lead to us having to do even more adjustments. So instead of rushing it out, we want to take a little bit more time and make sure the information we present is accurate, complete, and helpful which means taking a little more time to do more thorough research.

With the Halloween event expecting to arrive soon, could we expect any tie-ins with zOMG and/or Lake Kindred? I know there's so badges in zOMG that are only obtainable around Halloween so I'm hoping to see those animated floating around to get those badges and LK needs more love, I'm hoping to see a new land opening up or at least a new kin/item set.

Few months ago, we were told that we willget a new kin for the Halloween event.
And recently, we had a giveaway where we needed to retweet to reach a certain number to get the kin. The goal has neen reached and the new kin has been revealed.

There is a new Kin, but it is related to the release of Lake Kindred Origin, not for the Halloween event. Sorry for the confusion.

I know that you are shifting to a better search engine, but I wonder if they're gonna support reserved keywords such as "and" or "off". For instance, some items are tagged as "off black" (with a space) but if you search for it, it will simply ignore the tag "off".
Also, will it support tags under 3 letters? Like "of" and "or"?

Currently the item search uses a different search system than the rest of the site. Hopefully after the migration we'll figure out a way to unify all searches.

Should be very soon. Some of the migration work broke it but we're close to finishing that portion of the work, and arenas should work after that.
