Though it wasn't her mark. That was, in fact, a Stantler. The buyer lived in the next town over. The pay wasn't bad, though it could have been better for how rare the stag was but she intended to make the best of the job. An Ursaring, especially the black one he had warned her about, would make an excellent addition to her arsenal. It was said to be extremely powerful and had bested more than a few trainers looking to catch it themselves. But she was different. She wouldn't be trading blows with the beast. No, she intended to track it first. Learn where it rested and spring an ambush on it at dawn.
Checking her blunderbuss again she made sure the rounds where loaded. She had to have done that at least three times already. She had begun to feel uneasy about the jobs she'd been taking lately. With the loss of the cargo carrier, the walker, and Jasper some time back she'd reverted to her old methods of hunting. There was no room for error now. Despite having done jobs like this so many times already she couldn't shack the memories of the days leading up to her downfall and her narrow escape. The fledgling empire she'd been building, torn apart from within. So much had been lost, leaving her with so little. She was thankful she'd made it out with her life and blunderbuss. Revenge was in the works but first, she needed to restore her reputation and rebuild her resources. She gritted her teeth remembering that mans smile. He was smug, but he deserved to be for how powerful he was. For all her tricks and years of hunting nothing phased him, nothing slowed him. Nothing she could throw at him had any effect what so ever. Like water off a Swanna's back. She was a fly, a pest to be swatted aside. He would regret that. He would fall by her hands. His empire would be her's.
Rapidash snorted jerking her attention toward an Oddish. Not what she wanted but reported had it the Ursaring only came to the aid of other pokemon. She'd need to take this opportunity. "Let's go, Xatu!" She called out tossing a Pokeball. "Tailwind!" The Oddish was thrown back, hard. Immediately it began crying out. "Good, call for your buddy. Let's see who answers." It took only a few seconds for the call to find an answer. A defining roar and to her utter shock came charging a massive black bear "I didn't expect you to show up so soon. Xatu, clear the field of the rabble." Xatu quickly dispatched the Oddish with a single attack provoking the full wrath of the bear as it responded with a massive attack. A hammer arm. It would have done better if it wasn't a bad typing. But that proved the pokemon was as strong as the story's claimed it was. "Xatu, back off it. I'm up!" Fremy raised her gun and took the shot. A sludge shot slammed into the beasts face, blinding it. With that Fremy threw her Net Ball
