Find your Ikigai & choosing the right artistic path. Are you a hobbyist or an aspiring professional? It's perfectly fine to be whichever, but make that clear for yourself. If you're aiming to become a professional artist, you need to work harder & smarter than everyone else expects you to; you have to make the repetitive hard work fun; you have to develop a winner's mindset and persevere through the setbacks and failures and keep on climbing, and never give up no matter what.
What does your ideal work-week look like? Reverse-engineering your ideal life will get you there the fastest. Imagine your ideal day. What routines will you follow? What habits do you want? What habits do you not want? Who will you spend time with? Who will you avoid spending time with (think of people who drain you or who demotivate you)? What will you spend time on?
For example, my ideal day would be spent: - morning routines that make me happy, feel confident and in love with life, and also set me up for success in my chosen path (becoming a professional artist) - In the early morning I would love to work on commissions and creative work - I would spend the rest of my day travelling and drawing/painting plein air, enjoying nature and/or museums and/or beautiful architecture, meeting with people who are as motivated about it as I am (we absorb the attitude of those around us) and/or random people with interesting stories they might share with me - at evening I want to work on more repetitive tasks that don't use as much creativity and imagination - before I retire for the day, I want to declutter and tidy-up, because I can't focus in a messy, cluttered space (setting myself up for practice-success the next day) - call my family over dinner, and go to bed early to get 8 hours of deep sleep.
Keep in mind family, friends and lovers if you have those aspects in your life. While your dreams and ambitions should suffer for no one, it's no good to neglect those you care about.
Once you know what you want out of the time you are awake, take the necessary steps to make that happen. Want to quit your current job? Work at your skills so that your art can earn just as much for you or keep on the lookout for another job that you like better.
Everything is figureoutable.
What do you want to do with your art? Why do you create art?
Raise your standards!

Rewire your brain for success!
As artists, we have 3 organs that are most important to us: our hands, our eyes and our brain. Taking good care of them is essential to any endeavour that requires creativity, problem-solving, quick thinking and discipline.
PS. This is how you beat mental fog and adrenal fatigue.
Eat like a mental athlete. Antioxidants and healthy fats and oils are essential for brain function. Below, I'll list some healthy food choices to implement bit by bit.
Replace cooking oils with coconut oil, apricot kernel oil (omega 7 helps keep our arteries unclogged), sunflower oil. Salad/non-heated oils: olive oil, seeds and nuts. Healthy fats: walnuts, avocados, coconut butter, olive oil, chia seeds, wild-caught fish, organic free range eggs. Make sure your oils are cold pressed and organic where possible, and don't overdo it. A good balance between healthy carbs (fruit, veg) and healthy fats and oils are needed for optimal nutrition.
Replace sugars with fruit: bananas and apples are great to bake with, date syrup can be used like a liquid sweetener. Note that rice and barley syrups are not as sweet, so you need to use a lot more which might not be as favourable. Avoid xylitol if you can - it reads "toxic to pets" for a reason. Sugar is highly addictive and causes slumps in energy, but at the same time a little of the right sugars are needed for energy. Moderation is key!
Eat lots of leafy greens! Chlorophyll is one of the most essential nutrients for any life-form. It helps our bodies fight against infections, bacteria and viruses, and it also helps or cells heal a lot faster. For more research on this, look up Victoria Beutenko.
Herbs/botanicals for "waking up the brain" while reducing stress levels: ginko biloba, gotu kola, red/Korean ginseng, holy basil/tulsi, matcha green tea, tea without milk or sugar, ashwaghanda, bacopa, raw cacao.
Herbs for better sleep: valerian, passionflower, chamomile, lavender, magnesium.
Safe nootropics for that extra boost: PQQ, coconut MCT oil mixed with your morning coffee (take with a warm caffeine beverage for best effect, like coffee, black tea or raw cacao).
If you have ADHD/an over-active mind: take GABA before bed.
If you suffer from wrist pain: bio-curcumin, boswelia (frankincense)

Effective Artist Mindsets to adopt:
Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work.
Draw every day.
Finished, not perfect. Volume over perfection!
Doodle freely, it relieves stress & unlocks creativity.
Practice mileage-type exercises before sleeping. This allows the human brain to retain more of what it has learned during practice.
