Rules
1. Keep roleplays in the proper subforums.
Short, straight, to the point.
If there's an RP in the wrong section, it will be moved.
IF however, the roleplay features more than one genre,
please post your thread in the forum where the game has
the MOST of that genre.
2. Romance always encouraged. But only romance.
No cyber-sex. No mention of such things.
If the deed must be done, it must only be INSINUATED.
If you don't know what that word means, look it up.
3. No godmodding. Which means controlling other character's
thoughts, movements, actions, etc. No macro-hitting, no automatic
dodging and evading, no metagaming, no OOC hints.
4. If your RP has died, please PM a guild Mod so that it
may be moved to the Recycle forum. If you created an RP
and don't like the idea of it and would like to restart, please
PM a guild Mod so that the thread may be deleted.
Two-month-dead roleplays will automatically be moved to the Recycle forum.(Under-construction RP's have one month to be created,
then: two-months dead = Recycle forum.)
5. No harrassing other members, no flaming, no making fun of new players.
We were all new once to both Gaia and to guilds. Please, instead
of hindering their creative abilities, try to nurture it.
6. Please be semi-literate in all posts. This means, in each post,
try to write 1-2 paragraphs or more. Dialogue lines DO NOT count as
a paragraph. A paragraph is 5-7 sentences.
7. Keep to your characters. This means, if you're a mage in your bigraphy,
don't add shapeshifting later on. Keep up with your characters if you
have more than one. Be aware of who you are speaking with and in what
roleplay you are posting in. You don't want a steam punk charging in, guns
flailing, in the middle of a romance thread.
8. Please keep language PG-13. Mild swearing is aloud, with dignity.
This doesn't mean dropping the F-bomb just because you can.
Absolutely, positively, NO C-word, N-word, or ANY racial slurs.
You will be locked, banned, and reported to Gaia Administrators.
9. Please try to have SOME semblance of a plotline/storyline.
This can be changed in the future if the story seems to be going elsewhere,
but people are more apt to join if they know where they want their
characters to go and how to develop.
10. There's no limit of how many RP's you can create or play in. If one dies,
feel free to create a new one when you move/have a guild Mod delete the old.
11. Some roleplays deal with adult content (blood, guts, gore, sexual sctivity, etc.).
Blood, guts, and gore, fine...with dignity. Sexual activity = no.
See rule #2 if you remain confused.
12. Guild moderators (Crew only, unless otherwise noted) will be demoted
after one month of inactivity. After that, they can be promoted again after a
demonstration of consistent activity.
13. Please introduce yourselves and include a smiley emote
to let me know you have read all of these rules.
