Arsene seemed to be overly occupied with his duties as a scribe as of late leaving Jigen on his own more and more. This development was not a terrible thing as Jigen loved having time to him self to think. Arsene was probably wrapped up in something stupid like flirting with a number of cute girls and boy did this pride have some cute girls. For Jigen he preferred to be on his own away from such troubling things such as the company of a cute girl.
The fog was thick on the border today making it hard to see where one was going unless they were trained just as Jigen had been as he was a Chevalier. His mastery of the fog was evident in the way he stepped which was light so he admitted not a sound. He was a ghost among the comfort of the rolling fog but he was not alone as Silme'raana was also on patrol and she was just as trained if not more in the art of being silent. Silme, after all, had grown up in the original pride which had resided with in the heart of mists. While the two were both nimble on their paws and silent the fog was particularly thick today and it was inevitable the two would some how be tripped up by the other. In this case, it was Jigen who ran in to Silme which shoved the silver stripped lioness to the ground.
"HEY!" She flailed like a turtle on her side quite annoyed and in shock she'd been knocked over. Looming over her Jigen just stared and watched the sight unsure if he wanted to help or watch. He chose to help but was met with a smack of a clawed paw on his own out reached paw.
"Ooooww.. HEY! I was trying to help you out you ungrateful s**t head!" Jigen growled at Silme as she hoisted her self back up on to all fours. The two were not quite eye to eye in height given that Jigen was a good deal taller but her green eyes managed to be piercing none the less.
"Watch your tongue with that language! You should have seen me. You're a CHEVALIER for crying out loud making a rookie mistake LIKE THAT?" Silme was spirited to say the least. Jigen wiggled his nose and made some form of a disapproving grunt noise at Silme's observation. His paw hurt like a b***h but he wasn't about to let her know that.
"I was trying to help you out you fire cracker!" He rubbed his paw with his other front paw in a way that wasn't too obvious. "I didn't even get a chance to apologize to you and you smacked my paw."
"Serves you right too." Silme narrowed her eyes, "You should not be making rookie mistakes when patrolling the border. I know the fogs thick but you have a duty to your pride to be better." There was a lash of Silmes tail at her scolding. Being serious was not something that Silme'raana usually was but she really did take her duties as a Chevalier quite serious and she would be damned if they had a weak link among their midst.
"If you're questioning my performance as a Chevalier I assure you that you have nothing to worry about. I'm not here to boast but I think I got it covered. If you want proof why don't you spare with me?" Jigens own tail lashed back and forth quite annoyed that his professionalism was being dragged out and picked at.
"Alright. Lets go then." Silme took a ready stance having her claws out and teeth bared. She would test this none native blooded gem lion and see what he was made of.
