history: too long for his full life, but as for his life as 'Barstel'...

Barstel is a devil in his prime, with scars of all shapes and sizes, and for good reason. He was a terror in the Wilds, felling all who stood before him. Those who escaped death by his hands mysteriously died off from a mysterious illness days later. Eventually over the decades, his violence turned to curiosity about the body, demon and human alike. He first learned the ancient way, using his victims as cadavers to learn about the body.

His first actual patient was his now wife, Aria. He found her a few days after she had escaped a nasty fight, and slightly delirious with fever from the infection setting in. At first, Barstel was curious to see how she succumbed, no intention of saving her from one of his old favorite creations as a nephilim.

But she was a fiesty patient. Even as her flesh and muscles necrotised from the bacteria eating away at her, she still acted fine, And fought him too, whenever he got too close.

In a way it amused him, seeing how much life she showed as she died. And perhaps that spirit is what convinced him to heal her. A mistake, he learned when she attacked him on sight. Instinctively he infected her with another illness, which again didn't seem to affect her as much as it should have. This cycle happened quite a few times , much to Barstel's exasperation. Why is this female so lively??She should have died by now with the first infection, but no. She'd rather rip him a new one whenever he saw her, as lively as she seemed healthy.

Eventually he grew tired of his little expirement, and tried to make her a petri dish of bacteria and poisons. This time she succumbed, on the brink of death. Yet even in her muddled mind, she asked, "Do I get to see what you really look like before I go?"

He remembers it to this day, as it had shocked him to his core at the time. No one has ever noticed him as anything other than Demon, yet this smaller than average, tiny wind demon seemed to see through him. Maybe it was the fever, he mused over the years.

He relieved her of the sickness, saving the new disease into one of his scalpels named 'Aria's slumber'. He revealed himself to the tiny woman, which was amusing on its own at her reaction. For a while he was under the impression he was effectively keeping her at his residence, to keep his identity safe until he knew she wouldn't call him out. So it surprised him when the time ******** that, this is my home too. Now go get me something to cook."

He was now stuck with the tiny female. And she had gotten bossy over him. But he didn't mind, instead finding it endearing that she thought she could control a horseman of the apocalypse. She was helpful though, taking up assisting him with patients, even designing biomes for the clinic he decided to start.

They eventually had their first child, Jax. And God help Barstel if he wasn't fiesty like his mother. And then the stupid offspring had to go and get bit by his specialty patient, Bell. Honestly, if the boy wasn't his own he would have culled him from this earth long ago. If only he could design a disease that increases intelligence without blowing up their heads...

Personality: Usually calm, gentle and polite, kind of a soothing, southern personality. He heavily dotes on his wife, has a bad tendency of hovering over her especially since she's about to give birth to their daughter. He is overprotective of his hen, and generally acts somewhat submissive to go along with her demands. He usually has to smack his son around to get him to use his manners, or else he lets Aria take care of it (And she WILL take care of Jax misbehaving)

Amount of Currency: as the only doctor who specializes in demonology, a lot.

Likes: Aria, unique cases, willing patients, testing new diseases/ treatments

Dislikes: his son's attitude, other people interfering with his work or patients, impertinence

Relationship: Happily married
