- Psionic Vampiric Leeching || Selene can take the life force from any living being. (Weakened in the last 20 years)
Absorption - She can absorb the life energy from any living being. If she takes energy slowly, or little bits at a time, the person may be able to regenerate the energy. However if she takes the energy too quickly this may cause the person to become weak.
Distribution - Selene uses this energy to keep herself alive and young forever. It also helps to temporarily increase her physical abilities to peak human condition. However, by doing this she rapidly runs out of energy and will need to replenish soon after.
Redistribution - If she first takes energy from a victim and then gives it back, this gives her some power of the person by making them very susceptible to her will. The effects fade within a few hours.
- Selene is cunning and manipulative. She cares for herself over anything else but throughout the ages she has committed to a few different causes. As long as they were for her own betterment of course. There is very little that this hellfire member won't do as she never seemed to develop a moral compass. She is also very demanding in the sense that she has to have luxerious goods to be satisfied.
Selene was born over 17,000 years ago somewhere in what is now Central Europe, "after the Oceans swallowed Atlantis and before the rise of the Aryas". Her tribe's elders, believing her to be a goddess, commanded the entire tribe, including her own mother, to sacrifice their lives to feed her. She traveled around, passing from tribe to tribe as civilizations built up through the decades. Wherever she went she brought destruction in her wake as she learned to control her abilities.
Selene came to reside in Rome during the height of its empire.She approached Eliphas, offered him immortality in exchange for helping her kill and absorb every soul in Rome.Just before they were burned at the stake Selene killed the guards. She then cursed Eliphas for his perceived betrayal with an eternal life of torture, transforming him into a vampire-like creature. Eliphas was buried alive by a local cult she had formed around her.
In relatively recent times, Selene was trapped for centuries in the Amazon in the Romanesque town of Nova Roma. She was worshipped as a goddess and worked to maintain the isolation of the town so she could maintain control. She also was able to marry several times and have descendants, including Amara Aquilla. Her most recent known husband was Marcus Domitius Gallio, a senator of Nova Roma. Selene directed her worshippers to undertake tasks that eventually allowed her to leave Nova Roma.
Unfortunately this was also during the time that the drug had been released into the world. Her powers dwindled quickly and she lost control of everyone in Nova Roma. Over the years they continued to lessen until they became what they are today. With help from one of her previous worshippers, Friedrich Von Roehm, Selene made contact with the Hellfire Club and quickly took on the mantle of the Black Queen as most members vanished years ago. Since then she has been working with a few select members to help further the Hellfire's agenda. Or rather, she's helped with the agenda so that one day she could once again be worshipped as a goddess.
