Omri had all the books, all the sheets, everything that was necessary for his little session today. He. Was. Ready. At first, he couldn't believe it. There were other people into the game dungeons and dragons at the academy? Couldn't be! He hadn't met anyone who was in the game before he went here. Even with as many small little events he held at game stores. Er, well. More aptly put, the games that his parents allowed him to host and signed all the forms for (something that he would never understand, he knew perfectly well what he was doing and didn't need assistance). But he didn't have to go through all of that?

What blasphemy! He could have been playing the games here all this time. He should have gone to the academy sooner instead of being holed up in his little work room!

Omri hefted the large stack onto the table of the library where he was told to meet the others that were interested in DnD, giving a brilliant smile over towards the other freshling sitting across the way. "Hello!" they beamed, outstretching a hand. "Are you here for the game too? Do you already have a character in mind?" They shuffled through his papers and pulled out a character sheet with a satisfied click of his tongue. Oh man, they could hardly wait!

Rayleigh had as many books as his fathers would let him take. They had confiscated his backpack when he had been reduced to dragging it and removed some, a lot, of the books that had been tucked in it. He had the handbook, and some expansions and sheets and pens and dice. Counters. Things that he needed to play.

And a faint idea of a character but he hadn't got them down yet. He paused, staring up at Omri, nervous. "Umm.. Hi and sort of..."Rayleigh flushed, uneasy and reached out to take the hand, shaking it. "I'm Rayleigh... and maybe a half orc clerk?" He wasn't sure yet.... but he liked the tusks.

Omri beamed, quite pleased that he had someone to talk to. Finding someone to talk about similar interests was such a rarity! Was this nightmare the only one that was interested in dungeons and dragons? Were their more? His eyes roamed the room, hopefully. Ah, no one else seemed to be there for it. But! There was still time, wasn't there?

"Hello!" The naga beamed at Rayleigh. "It is a pleasure to meet you. I had begun to think that I was one of the few left that still wanted to play dungeons and dragons." He chuckled heartily, pulling out his own binder filled with character ideas and sheets that had already been filled out.

"A half orc cleric?" His eyebrows rose up, amazed. He had never thought of that combination before! "That sounds brilliant! Wonderful! What an...unusual pairing. I might be playing a fighter, myself." They grinned at Rayleigh, flipping to their new favorite character. "They're a dragonborn!" The only race in the players handbook that reminded him the most of...well..him! "Do you need help with your character sheet?"

"I saw a post about the idea... and sort of wanted to try it out. I rather like orcs." They had tusks and were big and strong and could change to be good and brave and protective. Rayleigh shuffled a foot half embarrassed at it not being an original thought but still wanting to try it out.

"Ooh! They are pretty! And please, if you would?" He spread out his sheets uncertain where to start. "My dads usually help me." He admitted. "Do you like dragons? I like the Silver ones. They are pretty."

"A post?" Omri quirked his head slightly to the side. "On the internets?" He wasn't allowed on it much. His parents believed that the amount of invalid information available on the web would confuse him, make him a poor learner. He respected it...tried not to use it. Gosh, did it sound like so much fun.

His lips curled into a frown. He couldn't be swayed astray by people who thought wrong. He should stick to the books! Tha naga started taking out his small bag of dice, all sorts of different colors. "Orcs are a solid choice for a race." he nodded sagely. Although, not what he'd like to play.

Dragonborns were cooler. Who was he to upset someone who he just met though? To scare away the first player that he's ever met...No. He wasn't an idiot.

"I love dragons! he enthused, practically gushing as he looked over the sheets with a critical eye. "I like the chrome ones the best." Was chrome the right word? Ah. Oh well if it wasn't. It was probably close enough. It wasn't like he was ever wrong.

Oh, there weren't any stats on his sheet! Omri made a clucking noise, taking out a few 1d6's. "First things first, we have to roll for your strength, wisdom and other talents!" he grinned, pulling out the page that explained how to roll stats. It was always best to chest the books!
