Aureliana is a kind soul. She feels like everyone should be treated with at least some basic kindness. She treats the gladiators and slaves under her father with as much kindness as she can as long as they do not pose a threat to her or her family's house. But she's not a fool; she understand that the only reason society works is because of the social classes. So while she may treat people kindly she still supports the social structures of the Roman empire. This is not to say that she's a silent woman waiting in the corner all the time. She chooses when to speak up and when to keep quiet as best she can for her age. She makes mistakes and tries to quickly correct them or cover them up, how well she does is up for interpretation.

Aureliana's mother was Cassia of the patrician house Aemilia. The Aemilia were said to descend from the second King of Rome, Numa Pompilius. For a long time in the early days of the Republic the Aemilia held high offices. However, Cassia's branch of the family fell on hard times after their ventures kept falling. Cassia's father always thought it started with the fact that the gods never blessed their family with a son. Cassia married another well respected son from a patrician house and had a child with him - Aureliana. The father fell in a military companies with great honors. Her mother, with a single child, had to remarry. Normally the children of prior marriages are left but as she was still practically a baby when her mother remarried she could not yet be parted from her. And so that is how Aureliana came to be adopted as a daughter by ________ of house Zoroastres.
Shortly after remarrying, her mother died during childbirth. (The fate of the child can be left for the future of the roleplay). Which meant that both Aureliana's mother and father were now dead. Her care fell to her adopted father whom was the only father that the girl knew. Aureliana grew up in the villa connected to the ludius. She grew to respect the gladiatorial arts and how much work that the men put into training. She wasn't allowed much interaction with a lot of the gladiators all at once but over the years she has seen them, with escorts and armed guards of course. At least the ones that her father has deemed loyal and honorable enough to allow into the Villa.
