Dokusei spun in his chair like a child taking it for a ride whilst laughing for a moment as he, and the rest of his team, watched on as their new apparent Overlord lorded over the apparent intruder. Truth be told he had very little idea what was transpiring at this point, but he didn't really care either, so long as he got to do what he loved doing: designing and creating playing and tinkering. He sat in his office which overlooked the rest of the floor, technically one floor higher.
"Sir...what do we do?" One tech asked.
"Do? Why, we celebrate! Our spooky new overlord won the day, so now we play!" He called down through his open window.
"I don't know if I like the idea of taking orders from a masked sociopath..." Spoke one tech.
"Really? Well if you'd like to file a complaint about a hostile work environment, I won't stop you! I'm pretty sure it'd be the last thing you ever did, but hey, we have free will!" Dokusei responded. "Now let's all shut up and do our work, sound good? Good! I, for one, see this as a magnificent opportunity to take our work to a whole new level! Come on people, let's not dally, not with Mr. Dethblade to impress! Oh, and let's all shut the hell up, too! I have a new presentation to prepare!"
"Sir!" The floor all resounded.

Back in his office, Setsumei Dokusei looked at the clearing in the middle of his lab, his technicians and assistants all gone for the night. He sighed, wondering what it would take to get these people to work for the sake of their passions rather than a paycheck.
As he sat in his chair, he pulled up several screens full of various kinds of data. "Sparrow. What a unique name for a creator. Maybe if I threaten them all with some sort of alchemic clown...I dunno; where the hell is the phone?" He wondered allowed, choosing to just use the computer to give this "Sparrow" individual a ring while once again rolling around in his chair.

The phone would ring two or three times before it was picked up. No video footage though. The sound of someone typing on a keyboard could be heard before the actual "Hello Doctor Dokusei." From the other end. It was a womans voice, in late twenties, early thirties maybe... Clear sounding and sure. "Ads told me I should be expecting your call. I'm assuming you've got questions about the bullet she put through your...what did she call him... Overlord?" The title wss a question, mainly to make sure it was correct rather then if that was what Adelaide had actually called him.

"What else do you call a man that waltzes in, shoots up the place with swords and proclaims himself the boss? Of COURSE he's my Overlord, lording over us peasants!" He'd laugh after his explanation, leaving it unclear whether he was joking or not. "That bullet's a pretty nasty little thing; I don't think Dethblade was expecting that...hence why he died. Not for long of course, but hey, an honest effort! What I'm curious about, Miss Lady Sparrow, is what kind of gadgetry you dabble in?"

"Im a weapons specialist mostly, but i have my hands in a lot of things here and there. It pays the bills." The smile could be heard in her voice. "I'm pretty good with circuitry too. I rewired an entire cargo ship once so it ran with half the emissions and improved its navigation. Also gave it a better booster for gate jumping." She giggled. "The ammunitions that Ads currently has i made specifically to work against Dethblade. I had to watch a lot of videos to see how he managed to avoid being shot this far. Turns out, he hadn't. Hes still flesh and bone, but hes flesh and bone with spunk. So i designed a bullet that would drill through, causing more lasting damage then a normal casing that everyone else had been using." She explained.
"While im glad they worked, I feel your resurrection stole the show, Doctor. I watched the feed. What was that injection you used?" She asked, the sounds of her adjusting in her chair could be heard, like shed leaned back in it.

Dokusei grin at the mere mention of stealing the show. He'd reach back into his coat and pull out another vile of the silver liquid, shaking it back and forth lazily. "These little guys are special nanomachines developed in secret! They're just prototypes at the moment, as no one would give me my damned funding...that is, not until now! Thanks to you, your bullet and your friend, I was presented the perfect opportunity to show what my machines can do! I have to admit, I didn't think they would synchronize that well with Dethblade; they mended even more damage than I anticipated! The fact we have more than a mindless zombie at the moment is nothing short of a miracle! My colleague is looking in on him at the moment, so we'll see what kinda damage was or wasn't done."
Dokusei would place the vial back in his coat and rest his arms behind his head. "Hey, I got an idea! Come work for me!" He seemed to randomly blurt out.

There would be a long pause on the end of the line. "Ummm, Im not a doctor or anything. Just some girl with an aptitude for putting things together. Not to mention i make weapons....kind of the opposite of what a hospital wants." She pointed out. She leaned forward, the sound of her chair creaking and reestablishing its original upright position coming through the speaker. "Hmmmm, but its a lovely offer though." She mulled it over. "I would still need to carry on my actual business. I supply a lot of bounty hunters with, well, supplies." She explained.

Dokusei laughed and spun in his chair again. "Of course you can carry on business! To be honest, I really don't care what my staff does, so long as they do what I say! And these people they send me, oh GOD these people! They're so morally upright, seeking to further their own careers and benefit humanity! I mean yeah, we're doctors, but...we're not. We're gods." He'd stop spinning in his chair and stand up, slamming his hands down on the desk in front of him.
"Think about it - we create! That's all we do! We create things, and tinker with them, and repair them, and tear them down and make new things! Inventors, doctors, technicians...we run the universe, Sparrow. So you want to create weapons? Let me help you! Imagine...I dunno...a bullet shot that screwed into their heads and released toxic nanites, contaminating the corpse! The possibilities are endless, and that's why you gotta join me!"
"Oh, and I'll pay you whatever the hell you want. I've seen your work; you're worth any price. So there's that." He'd add for incentive.

There was a bit of laughter on her end. "Well, hard to argue with all that. Hmm, lets see. It may take me some time to get there. But as a sign of good faith, Doctor, I'd like to send you a present?" The rhythmic sound of typing would be heard and and Dokusei would receive a digital image to his computer. "Its funny that you should bring up injection bullets, as this prototype does something similar, just in the form of a knife, rather than a bullet."
The image would show what looked like a run of the mill 6 inch long hunting knife, although the blade was a bit off. At one and a half inch intervals, there was a small opening in the blade. "This is the Hornet. A tactical knife that has a hidden punch to its sting." She clicked something on her end, and on Dokuseis side, the image would rotate to show the inner workings of the knife, a cross cut view that revealed a small tube system that connected the holes in the blade to a canister in the handle, a pressure button at the butt end of the handle. "Press the button while the knife is still in your target, and release whatever you'd like into the targets system." She explained, sounding proud of herself. "The prototype is made, and the current canister is filled with CO2, which will freeze internals once released. However, i can send this to you and two empty canisters for you to play with." She offered.

Dokusei plopped back into his office chair and wheeled it forward to his desk, scrolling through the data at a rapid speed with a wide grin on his face. "This is incredible miss Sparrow; can you imagine the applications?! I mean think of it: you designed a weapon that could shank pretty much anyone n' kill them right to death! I know that's poor grammar, but I'm too damn excited to speak fluently!"
"So here's the thing: most people gotta fill out an application, and the board reviews it, and so on and so forth. It's a lengthy, annoying process...but with our new Overlord lording over everything, and after saving his a**, I think he'll let me skip the process! So I'll have a temporary access badge waiting for you when you arrive. When you're asked the security question, 'What will the War of the Beasts bring about?' answer 'The world's end'. Then come on up to the top floor, and climb the stairs to my office."
"Oh, one more thing! Your bounty hunter friend has been named good ole' Marshall of Justice or some crap like that, so she's got clearance too. I just don't know to what extent, so you gotta talk to Dethblade about that. He's really a terrible guy when you get to know em'!" He laughed.

Sparrows laugh carried over once more. "Im glad you appreciate its potential. Expect the prototype in a day or so. Myself a few days after that. I will have Adelaide swing by and pick me up once she is off of Alteria there." She typed something up again, and repeated the answer to the question to herself again. "I wonder what Beasts we'll be serving in the future, eh, Doctor?" She smirked and laughed lightly to herself. "I look forward to working with you Doctor. See you soon." With that, she disconnected the call, not waiting for his reply.

Dethblade reached the final floor of the hospital and walked through the elevator doors. As he wandered in, he noticed a large pair of double doors, rather ornate for a hospital. Pushing them aside he'd march into the tech suite, then slow his pace. He was taken aback by the amount of technology and artifacts amassed in the room, enough to fill a bank. He starred across the way, up into the skybox that looked down on the marble floors. He'd then take notice of something glimmering in his peripheral vision. Looking towards it, he'd notice a shinning sword. He smirked beneath his mask.
"Overlord Dethblade! What an honor it is to receive you in my lab!" Dr. Dokusei cried out. He made his way down the moving stairway that lead down to the floor, hands in his coat pockets and a grin on his face. "What can I do for you?"
"Where are you on the nanomachines?" Dethblade asked abruptly.
Dr. Dokusei stopped a few meters away, and with a smirk removed one hand from his coat pocket, at least the outer pocket, only to go searching along the inside of the coat. He'd remove a steel case and toss it to Dethblade. "A new batch, made specifically with you in mind! It's not permanent, not this batch. But it's meant to be a test, after all! They'll wear off after about a day if my calculations are correct."
Dethblade caught the case and opened it to see a small vial connected to an injector. "I see. And why is it you're not only testing me, but using me as one of your subjects?" He asked looking up to Dr. Dokusei.
Dr. Dokusei only grinned wider. "Would anyone else be worthy of the power bestowed to someone by the contents of that vial? I know it's not what you asked for, but it is progress, and unless you want a completely incomplete end result, you'll need to bare with me."
"I see. Lucky for you, I can comprehend your logic. Otherwise, I would be upset...but I also know that aggression and hostility will not result in your aid for my plan for things to come. This hospital is mine, and this town knows my name. t's time they know my power and bow down to it, less they wish it be their time for a merciful end. Each of them will know that at any given moment, justice may rain down upon them." Dethblade revealed.
Dr. Dokusei laughed. "I can't wait to see what you do, Overlord Dethblade!"
