The entirety of Kartotinis is split into five separate "layers". From the highest to the lowest, they are The Realm of Gods and Goddesses, Heaven, Earth, Hell, and The Realm of The Ancients. Purgatory exists outside of these five layers as its own thing, having no true place. Though if it were to be listed, it would be on the same level as "Earth".

The Realm of Gods and Goddesses This is what many are able to consider a "true paradise". Existing far above even "Heaven" itself, this realm is home to only the gods and goddesses of all existence. It seems to be created an aspect of each living god and goddess, seeming to grow infinitely bigger whenever a new one is born or created. In what could be considered the center of it all, each of the twenty-three Elemental Gods and Goddesses have their own areas, which seem to surround and protect a castle which exists within the center of them all. This castle belong the The God of Creation, He Who Created All, Hollow himself. Although rarely are any ever able to enter this castle unless invited personally by Hollow himself. Although His children are allowed entry at all times, without the need for permission. A powerful energy seems to deter any who would come peeking otherwise.

Heaven Heaven is what many mortals considered to be paradise, existing just above Earth, but below The Realm of Gods and Goddesses. This is where the more benevolent mortal souls go after death, and it's here they are given the choice to either stay dead, or be rebirthed (if their race has that ability). Although upon being rebirthed, they will lose all memory of who they once were, be be born as a child once again. This place seems to be composed mainly of fluffy clouds, and white marble buildings. There seems to be no "god" here, and everything is ruled over by Angels and the all-powerful Archangels. It is rumored that this is where one of the first Demons not created by Akujin himself was "born".

Earth / Purgatory Earth could be considered the total "center" of the world, existing perfectly in between the other four realms, two above, and two below. This is where all mortal races (and even a few immortal) call home, living out their daily lives here. Although it is rather large, it seems to pale in comparison to the size of The Realm of Gods and Goddesses and The Realm of the Ancients, both of which seem to be enlarged by magic.
Purgatory is essentially a sort of afterlife, where souls go if they were unable to gain access to Heaven or Hell. Living eternally, and unable to do anything as their own sort of punishment. Although there is one way a soul in purgatory can be "reborn". Whenever a child is born, their body is an empty vessel, and all the souls of Purgatory fight to be able to fill in that spot. Whenever they are unable, a soul from Heaven is instead sent down to fill the spot.

Hell Hell is known by many to be the place of eternal torture, existing somewhere below the surface of Earth. It's the exact opposite to Heaven, and came into existence when the Archangel Michael sent down Lucifer from Heaven, essentially creating the very first "Fallen Angel" and Demon. Somewhere along the way, Lucifer decided to make himself the "King of Hell" (much to the disgust of a certain God and Goddess), creating knock-off Demons which were based off the ones that Akujin himself had created. While many people consider this to be the worst place, it is only one layer above The Realm of the Ancients, where true fear lies.

The Realm of the Ancients The lowest layer that can be reached in Kartotinis. This is actually considered to be the most highly secured prison, even though all prisoners are able to move freely in this layer. When one gains entry, it is almost entirely possible to escape. The only way to do so is with the permission of one of the Sector Gods/Goddesses. If you gent sent here, then you have been deemed an apocalyptic force by Hollow himself, and an endangerment to the Gods and Goddesses themselves. Although every now and then, a prisoner escapes, to wreak havoc upon the world. Although only after clawing their way out of Hell.
