Oooh, glasses. "I'd love to try a pair that you've made!" Kaya had always wanted to wear glasses. They looked cute on others. If only they could be that cute. But wait...they paused, putting a finger to their bottom lip. "Can I wear them even though I don't have an eye mutation?" Would that be fine? Would that be okay? Or would they be able to look out of them. They stared, curiously at the other freshling.

They nodded, fully believing Billie's sage advice. "But do you still get paid for it if you like it?" They liked shiny things. Did that mean..they could get paid for taking shiny things? Oh man, they hoped so.

Kay's head jolted upright from it's laying position. Billie thought that they might look cute in them? Their tail started thumping against the side of the desk. "I'd love to wear any that you make!" They were practically gushing with enthusiasm, Oh man, they hoped they looked cute in glasses! All the kids that seemed cool and put together wore glasses!

Their mouth popped open in amazement. "There are people with more than two eyes?" The hybrid put up two stubby claws. and looked at them, having to go cross eyed. "Wow." They had never seen anyone with more than two. Or heard of it! "D-Do you know anyone?" they wanted to see so very badly.

Kaya nodded along with Billie. "So I can take shinies and get paid!" A high pitched fit of giggles zipped past their lips at the thought. Man, maybe growing up wasn't too bad of an idea.

"Really?!" They sucked in a gasp, their voice as high pitch as it could go. Amazing! More than one pupil....Wait. Their smile fell. "What's a pupil?" Was that just another eye?! Kaya squinted in thought. Pupil..... What did that word mean?

Dictionaries sure were stupid, but boy, did they wish that they had one right now!

"I'd really like to meet your friend!" They beamed. That way, they'd learn what a pupil was! Perfect. The more friends that they had the more friends that they'd be able to have a bit of fun too! And if they were in detention together...they could still talk!

Kaya jumped as a sudden cough sounded off behind them. Just what--what was that?! They whipped around, cringing. Yikes. The teacher was there. They hung their head, patting down their hair. At least the teacher wouldn't see the stars in their hair! "Guess I should go back to my seat." The hybrid whispered, leaning in close. Man, what a shame. They were having so much fun with their friend too!
