◆ Bɪᴏɢʀᴀᴘʜʏ: Like with all of Lucifer's demons, Raine was 'born' from on of three methods (savage soul; when someone truly evil lands themselves in hell and is reborn as a low to mid-level demon, hellfire; drawn out from the flames of the eternally burning fires which produces high-level demons or on a special occasion, soul fragment; Lucifer uses a fragment of his own soul to create a powerful monster) Raine in particular was born from hellfire and destined from the start to become something akin to a soldier. From childhood, he was placed under the care of Lucifers top-ranked demon (Rimuto) and spent his life training on the castle grounds.
During this time his eye was caught by the daughter of Lucifer, Octavia, who he became infatuated with. However, she never seemed to notice him as she was caught up in being miserable in her fathers care and had no interest in associating with anyone.
As he grew older, Raine shot up in the ranks which brought him to Lucifer's attention. After watching him, the devil noticed that the young demon would often glance at Octavia, giving him an idea. Requesting to speak to him, Lucifer made Raine an offer; if he could make the top of his class and succeed in a challenge against the current top dog, he would promise Octavia to him in the belief that there would be no one better for his daughter than a young commander that already held a fondness for her. Raine enthusiastically agreed, finding himself with a new lease of life, training harder, opting for common and popular death matches that earned him the name 'Blood Raine' due to his pure bloodlust and power. Eventually, he succeeded in his challenge against Rimuto, beheading his life-long teacher with little remorse. Unfortunately, when returning to his master to receive his new title, Raine was heart-broken to find out that Octavia had fled from hell a month previously and was now on a rampage, destroying and exorcising demons as a champion for Akujin.
After a while of being in general command, Raine received orders to ascend to the human world and find Octavia. He is required to serve and protect her at any costs and show her that Lucifer cares for his daughter and convince her to return to hell with him
