While she'd mostly stayed quiet during the whole... Thing with the new king, Irmak had felt... She wasn't sure how she felt. Perhaps it was how she'd been raised, finding nothing wrong with rogue breeding, but for different reasons than most others. Or maybe it was the ease with which Shui had dissolved the deal with the Kizingo'zaa, their neighbors to the south. It left her on guard, watching for the sneaky lions to come in and steal cubs away.
Of course she had a great distraction from it, watching little lights dance through the trees. "Surely the gods are... Up to something..." She went over, attempting to catch it in her paw, only for it to vanish. "How strange..." What, she wondered, was going on?

Tapiwa wasn't sure how he felt in the aftermath of the kings the kings announcement on the one paw he was sad to see so many members of the pride leaving and the stress and anger that had been floating around the pride that he had just joined. He had made a commitment to the head of the guard and he believed in marriage. He wanted to find a mate and start a family with only one female. So on that paw he wasn't upset with the king. He did think it was sad that the king was laying blame for misfortune at the feet of innocent cubs and mothers. He was also on his guard he had a job to do and a pride to protect. He made his way down the beach. He looked off into the trees and saw lights dancing in the trees fireflies?? Glowworms? He went closer and spotted a female trying to catch them in her paws. He blinked watching her unsure what to say.

One of the things that made Irmak good at what she did, and had made her good as a warrior back in her birth pride, was her ability to pay attention to multiple things. She turned one ear, and then her head, to regard Tapiwa. A light danced in front of her face and she swatted at it, more out of instinct than anything, and she momentarily hissed. When the scarred lioness regained her composure, she turned her full attention to the other Nyangumi. "Evening, Tapiwa. Strange happenings, aren't there?"

Tapiwa watched the dancing light and looked at Irmak "Evening Irmak, yes it would seem so." He went closer to her and looked at the paw she had used to swipe at the glowing ball of light. "It didn't harm you?" He wanted to make sure this wasn't a danger to the pride. "More weird stuff just what this pride needs eh?" He shook his head thinking of the king's announcement. Many of the pride's members leaving. Mothers and cubs blamed for natural disasters. It was all very strange and now they had strange glowing balls of light that were clearly not fireflies. "What do you make of these matters?" He asked. Figuring she would know what he meant since it was pretty much all the pride had been talking about lately.
