Soleil hadn't been around a kiddo in a long, long, long while. It was....sad. The kirin loved being around nightmares and daydreams that are mature and out of the academy. It was how they made their "living", how they were able to have fun on the "job", if it could even be called a job.

But freshlings were different. They were cute, innocent, immature...all the things that Soleil positively was not. Even hanging around an immature individual didn't do the trick to fill the gap that was missing in Soleil's life. They wanted a freshling to cherish, a freshling to hold and love, someone who they could influence to do good in the world. Well...do better than they did in the world at least. Soleil may have flunked out of community college but their kids, they would make sure, wouldn't do the same.

Soleil sighed as they stared out the window of Keyan's place as a few freshlings with their parents went to go play on the playset right across the way. That could have been them. It could be them.

After all, they were able to create a freshling of their own. Soleil's ears twitched upward at the thought. Stones, they could do that. No problem. There was going to be a dip in their magic but when had that ever stopped them from living? They could still enjoy life and cause their own chaos with a small dip in magic. Even if they had to stay at home for a few months afterwards...Keyan had a job. The elf was smart and had deep pockets. Soleil was doing enough things around the house like cooking and cleaning. Enough to allow him a few months off if they really needed it.

A smile unfurled on his lips. It was a perfect plan.

Well, nearly perfect. Their finger's paused from reaching for his phone to look at his imbuing app that they hadn't updated or gone in for ages. They would be able to adopt at an orphanage, take a freshling out of being parentless to having at least one parent to care for them. Did they have the room for that? Ice colored eyes went back to look at the interior of Keyan's home, pondering.

There were only two rooms. One for them, one for Keyan. Neither of them could share with each other or a freshling. Not with unexpected nightly guests. Soleil still had to make a living.

Adoption was out of the question. At least, for now. Until they moved into a house that had three rooms instead of a measly two. They were sure that they could convince Keyan in time. Soleil's smile widened. Imbuing stones with another nightmare or daydream was the only option. An option that they'd gladly take. Soleil was sure that there were plenty of individuals in the world that would love to house any freshlings that they both imbued. Why, it wasn't like the kirin would be completely out of the kiddos' lives. Soleil still planned on visiting, taking the kiddo out when they had money and being there for them. They weren't going to be a neglectful parent. Just one that lived in another house. Nothing wrong with that.

The kirin picked up his phone in finality. There was just one thing to do. Find someone to imbue with.
