Quillin walked into the classroom and sat down, his aid sitting nearby. He poked at the scars on his cheek, trying to keep them out of sight, not wanting to draw attention to himself. He imagined he would see someone from the Drama major in this class, so he cautiously looked around to try and see someone familiar. No one yet, but there was still time for students to arrive. Chase arrived and sat down next to him, giving a brief smile.

Chase quickly made it into the room and sat down beside Quillin, seeing one familiar face in the room. He knew that Esmeralda would follow quickly and sat next to the empty space beside a tan-skinned male. He wasn't familiar with him but he seemed like he was waiting for someone else. He gave a quick nod and waited for everything to take place.
Genevieve made her way into the classroom and sat down. There was still a few minutes before the second bell would ring, but she was still nervous. She got out her laptop and set her desk space up. She had her matcha bubble tea in her keep cup on her right side and her small notebook on the left side of her computer. She hoped that she might be able to recognize anyone in the class and make friends. The tall, muscular, tan-skinned boy from her dance major was the only one she recognized but they hadn't spoken yet. She knew his name was Kaihe but that was it. She hoped she might be able to talk to him at some point and make a friend in her major.
POWER: Ability Learning and Imprinting Esmeralda arrived her earbuds in as always. She was moving to the music as she walked into class popping one out for the meantime as she looked around for a place to sit. She smiled seeing a few people from her major and waved. Seeing Kaihe saved a seat for her she made her way over and sat down. Setting her bag in her lap and taking out her other earbud and turning to him. "Hey Kaihe. How was Dance?" she asked as she unzipped her backpack and put away her phone before grabbing the things she would need for class.
As soon as Esmeralda walked in, the room felt warmer. Quillin could tell it wasn't her power, just her presence and the way she carried herself--that perfect, overflowing amount of confidence that poured across the room, waves crashing into the sea. He smiled as she sat down near him and got his belongings out. His aid sat in the corner, watching but not interacting. So far, his powers were going okay, not even the slightest urge of something wrong. That being said, he wasn't always aware of if his powers had even affected something. He pushed the thought from his mind--to think about it was to invite it in. "Long time no see," he joked.

Chase waved at Esmeralda and moved some of this things so she could sit at the same table. He didn't know the guy she was speaking to directly about dance, but any friend of hers was a good person. He waved gently and turned his attention to the teacher. He imagined it would be a class of note-taking, discussion, and perhaps group work. Well, he didn't imagine it but it was his preferred method of learning.
Genevieve noticed the beautiful Latina girl come in and talk to Kaihe, obviously the two were close. She gave a small smile and listened as the bell went off. She looked up as Mr Constantinople waited until the bell finished ringing to begin the class.
"Alright, let's get started. We continue from where we were in the last session. We will watch a short video and make sure you take down as many notes as you can, as some of the information in the video will be on your upcoming assessment. If you forgot, it is a multiple-choice quiz of 50 questions total that you have 1 hour to complete. That will be due in 3 weeks. " he announced.
Genevieve clicked on her laptop to record audio for the duration of the lesson, to ensure that she got as much detail as necessary. She didn't want to fail her first assessment, but she had a feeling it wasn't going to be as complicated as he was making it seem.
Sorry for the time away, the online degree I was doing was taking all of my spare time. I have withdrawn from it so I will have spare time again!
