[PRP]Mwezi in the Tianxia (Taaka/Ayten)

The male looked up at the sky. There were no stars as the sun was drowning out their little lights. He sighed, looking around. Sure there had to be someone around to ask…right? He’d had gotten to know the traveling group of Mwezi lions well to distinguish who was in his pride versus the Tianxia. When he found someone who did not look familiar to him, he decided to approach her. No harm in asking strangers…right?

The West house was so...different from the North house. Where she came from, there was structure built around the army; here, it seemed like art poured out of every surface, and not very organized. She herself was trying to see if there were any trinkets she could take back with her to the North. As she glanced around, she noticed one who looked...not like part of Tianxia. She had been there for the initial introduction of the moon lions, but had been too shy to talk to anyone specific at that point. But...maybe now...?

"Are you lost?" She asked quietly, her need to help overriding her manners. This wasn't even her house; how could she really help? "You seem a little confused, and I figured I could at least point you in the right direction."

Taaka's ears swiveled as the female spoke. "Indeed I am," he said, his tone was as quiet as hers was. "Is it super obvious?" He jested.

"My name is Taaka. I am from the Mwezi'johari. I met Zambarau yesterday who told me to meet her at the...Bazaar?" The Mwezi did not have a bazaar, so the term was relatively new for the lion (even while he was a rogue, he hadn't heard it). "Do you know where that may be?" Taaka knew very little of the Tianxia land, especially the division of the houses. He did not know if there was a way to distinguish the division. He had seen quite a few different species in the meeting that he could at least tell the pride was open to those not just lions.

"I--er---probably should have gotten directions before we departed," he said sheepishly.

Ayten's eyes lit up as soon as he spoke. His voice! Certainly there were only so many ways for lions to speak, but his seemed to have just enough differents to make her ears twitch. Those in the North were always so stern, gruff, and serious. His seemed...more pleasant. Flow-y?

"Ah, yes!" And his name! So...different. She knew she was being a little silly, but it was so thrilling to be visitng a different house, and be able to talk to lions from an entirely different pride. "I would be thrilled to help you!"

She offered a small, polite bow to him, making sure that she was paying enough respect to these visitors; she had no idea what rank he held, and her own rank wasn't very high up. "I am called Ayten. It is a pleasure to meet you, Taaka. I am actually on my way there now. I would be happy to accompany you." Was she talking too much? Too fast?

"Erm....I hope I am not too forward, but I would love to hear more about your home!"

She was heading to this bazaar too? How convenient! "Well, miss Ayten, I believe that I am one of the luckiest lions currently to have stumbled across you!"

His head tilted. "Not forward at all. I'm just as curious about your pride as well. It's actually the reason I am heading to the Bazaar. Zambarau was going to tell me a little about it." He explained. "But I'd be happy to share what I know about the Mwezi'johari!" He was a relatively new member to the pride, but he had learned quite a bit during his time as a member. "Is there anything specific you would want to know about?" As long as it didn't relate to previous history of the pride, Taaka was sure he could answer it. Well... maybe.

"Oh wow, well, I wouldn't really know where to start....I'm sure your day to day life is really different from us!" She hummed a bit to herself, before realizing that she did know who Zambarau was...and wow he was already making friends with the West house!

"Are you....nocturnal? I'll admit that I haven't heard much, just that the moon is so central to your life. Here...its so much more complex than that. Honor, family, duty, tradition....I guess in some ways we are probably similar."

"Nocturnal? Not really." For the Lord, he found himself waking in the early hours of the morning, just before dawn, and staying awake until dawn. He found that the easiest, as he was always one that slept during the night when he was a rogue. "Some of the pride does choose to stay awake when the Great Lion is in the sky, although some are out when he sleeps." Taaka explained. "Those born in the pride seem to have the ability to be awake during the night hours, but for me, I find myself still falling asleep if the sun isn't there." He said sheepishly. The lighter colored lion would learn one day to stay up longer.

"Tradition is a big one for us. The basic structure is probably similar between our prides. You guys seems to be...divided?" He did not know much about the house system the Tianxia had. "Why is that?" He was curious on their side of things. Sure he would find out more information from Zambarau, but why waste a perfectly good opportunity now?

That was such an interesting way to divide a pride: by classifying it as four prides in one. "I don't think I have ever heard of something like that before." Taaka said thoughtfully, trying to sort the memories in his mind of places that could have a similar structure. When nothing else came to mind, he just chuckled. "Look at me, getting lost in thought here."

"Oh, so this...bazaar is just a place where you can pick up items for you own use or prides use then?" Taaka was curious if the Mwezi would bring home any of these ways or traditions of the Tianxia. They seemed to have quite a few in their midst.

The bright lion wanted to know more, but he could also see them approaching what he assumed was the bazaar, and he knew he needed to meet with Zambarau soon. If he kept asking Ayten all the questions, how rude would it have been to keep the other waiting.

"Thank you for the information of your pride. I would love to hear more about it, maybe about each houses next time out paths cross again?" Taaka found himself asking. Perhaps it could be something he would ask the other lioness upon speaking with her.
