After the World that Never Was was swallowed by the dark realm,
The Memory Skyscraper was the only thing still standing. All the buildings, including the Castle that Never Was was swallowed into the abyss where it'll never appear again. Buildings around it were destroyed, all the lights were either destroyed or off, unable to show light ever again.

▀ As I fight, I slowly learned something..
My heart has never steered me wrong ▄
Darkness flowed around the empty abyss where Vincent floated. He smiled softly as he knew that he did good. He knew that everyone was safe now and that kingdom hearts was finally closed. His eyes were closed as he remembered his friends. Mitsuki. Mikhailie. Atticus. E-Man. Cortex. Many people have flowed through his life, so many friends he had made through his path to fight against the darkness. As he continued to smile, he opened his eyes slowly as he laid against the ground, noticing the sky was covered in darkness with energy flowing around endlessly. He sighed softly as he noticed around him that he was what was left of Memory Skyscraper, noticing the rest of the buildings were either destroyed or lifeless. He stood up slowly, noticing that he was the only one in here which made him sigh in relief. He felt the gravity was light within this realm which made him feel lighter than usual, as he lifted his hand, he realized that none of his keyblades were appearing which only made him look down, knowing he wouldn't last long in this realm without any of his weapons,"Well..this sucks.."
As he looked around, he noticed something in the distance. He saw his wreckage of a ship was still there which made him smile softly before running toward it but his way was blocked. He stopped as he noticed neo heartless forming around him, twitching slightly but their aura was powerful. He didn't know what to do as he knew his heart would be taken if he didn't have any weapon. As the heartless came closer, he kept his guard up, keeping his fists tight as he was ready to fight them with just his fist. One neo heartless roared before jumping toward him, ready to strike down at him. Vin moved his arms in a defensive position, ready for the dark claws to dig into his skin but then, he heard something slice into the neo heartless, making it screech in pain. Vin moved his arms away as he noticed something that made his heart sink. Dark particles floated around Atticus' Wolf Pride keyblade, knowing that even in death, Atticus will look after him. Vin grinned slightly before dashing toward the keyblade, making the other heartless jump above him. They all landed on top of Vin and it looked like the end of the hero but then all the heartless flew away, turning into particles around Vin who held the large keyblade in both hands. It felt heavy within his hands but he smiled softly, knowing that his master was there for him once again,"Thank you...Atticus.."
As he made the Wolf's Pride keyblade disappear from his hand, he heard screaming from the Memory Skyscraper. He looked up to see a Neo Heartless scratching into the chest of the Diamond Dog soldier he was communicating with in London. Vin's eyes grew wide as he ran to the soldier, thrusting the Wolf's Pride keyblade deep into the chest of the heartless. The soldier was covered in blood as the heartless disappeared into dark particles around them. Vin turned to his soldier before helping the soldier sit up,"Soldier, you stay with me now.."
"I'm sorry sir..I've failed my mission..", spoke the soldier as he held onto he looked around him, noticing that he wasn't going to his home town,"It's okay sir...I'm going to see my wife soon.."
Vin looked down as he couldn't believe what horrors the realms have to offer. He kept quiet as he heard the soldier groan in pain just moving his head toward his left to see his rifle laying there,"Please..take my rifle...take my coat..make me a diamond when you get out.."
"I will soldier..", Vin replied to his soldier before looking over at the rifle. He didn't want the heartless to turn his soldier into one of them so he knew what he had to do. He got up slowly before grabbing the rifle from the ground. He saw that there was still plenty of ammo in the clip before turning around toward his dying soldier. He sighed softly before pointing the rifle directly toward his soldier's heart as he spoke,"You...you are a true diamond dog, soldier. I'll carry your ashes through this dark realm and when I get out...I'll turn you into a true diamond dog...you will be by my side through thick and thin and in the end...you'll be by my side as we win this war.."
The last thing heard by heartless nearby was a loud, echoing gunshot. Vin stood there silent as he saw his armor was breaking more and more which he knew it was time. He ripped apart his broken armor before he was just standing there in a dirty white tank top, very dark and faded brown pants, and army boots. He looked at the soldier before placing a cigarette between his lips, holding the soldier with two arms before walking to his ship.
A few hours went by as Vin collected everything he needed, laying the soldier on the deck of his destroyed ship. He took his almost finished cigarette, keeping the cigarettes from his soldier in his pocket as he placed the soldier's coat around him. He took the cigarette from his lips before tossing it to the ship as it began a blaze. The fire of his old wreckage of his ship burned bright as Vin watched his soldier turn to ash. As he wore his soldier's coat proudly, he began to work on the rifle. Using spells he learned from his old master, Atticus, he created a way to shoot enchanted bullets made of pure light from his new rifle, making it shoot unlimited ammo. He smiled softly before placing the rifle on his back before watching the flames settle down. As he walked through the ash, he grabbed a bottle before taking the ash from his soldier and placing it into the bottle. He sighed softly before placing it into his jacket, looking out to see the heartless looking straight at him. Vin growled softly before running off in a direction, trying to look for a good location for a place to take refuge while trying to figure out what his next step is.
Fighting against the darkness, I finally learned.. ▄
