Personal

Personality: Ruuben is a really awkward guy, not really comfortable with having to be in the spotlight. He would rather prefer working behind the scenes and just take his rightful credit, nothing else. He does, however, has a curious nature and loves to learn every new thing he could get his hands on- which is why he aspire to be a photographer. People can say that he's a nosy bookworm and a nerd, though it seemed that he has embraced it at some point. Ruuben also resorts to snarky and sarcastic remarks as a sense of humor, and you would gain respect from him if you do the same. He's also understanding, kind, and protective, even though he doesn't like to admit that along with what he feels in general.

Bio: Ruuben isn't really from Glenvale, he's actually a newly minted guy who was either traveling or at home sharing his wonderful stories to his family. He's the middle child between his rock star brother Reima and his annoying medical brother Riku. Their mother is a journalist while their father is a history professor in a university, both of them being responsible for Ruuben's curiosity. There's a catch however, he's the only one who managed to inherit a notable level of mind magic from his Finnish grandmother even if it's not as strong. When his heritage surfaced, that's how he was able to find out his familiar in the form of a grass snake appearing in a puff of wisp until it turns into a real reptile. Ruuben's family freaked out, though his grandmother was very quick to help them out. But then again, he had to learn it due to his unreasonable ability to feel things way too deeply for people and how he seemed to be "hearing voices" when he's actually reading people's minds by accident.

As he grew up, Ruuben had to juggle between learning his heritage, school, and teenage life in general. But hey he managed to get through it, but it didn't stop him from being hesitant about the fact that his spirit familiar is a snake at first- who can "disappear" by just turning into wisp and "possessing" him. But he got used to it, and they were eventually good at hiding this fact from humans. Though it did made Ruuben a little bit disappointed for people if they're so quick to judge the cover. Sirpa was just a grass snake, an annoying yet well-meaning snake. And Ruuben had grown to embrace this fact.

After graduating from college, Ruuben then proceeded to start small things: visiting local museums, historical sites in his county, then ending up going outside the world while still earning money via commissions. But most importantly, the town of Glenvale drawn him because of the strange tales- and that's why he was now here.

Magic Abilities: (Make sure you add limitations)
❇ Empathy - The easiest ability Ruuben can do all the time, he was able to sense a persons's emotions he's focusing on. He will moreso feel it if he touched them as well. He can also express/influence his emotions to others, but he has to actually feel it to make that happen. For example, if he's feeling sad, then he can influence his sadness to someone. But if he's not even sad at all, then he can't make the person so.

❇ Telekinesis - Ruuben is very good at using his telekinesis that he can do it without moving his hands, but there's some sort of an equation. The heavier the object, the less control he has unless he has the willpower to overcome it. But even with his willpower, it will lead him to straining and exhaustion when done for too long- usually shown by nosebleeds, fatigue, and/or passing out. And Ruuben has yet to come to the worst case scenario of pushing his limits. He can also apply his telekinesis into making force-field shields, but the durability of the "shield" greatly depends on his willpower and energy.

❇ Telepathy - He can read the surface minds of people in the least, as well as creating psychic communication to people and in close proximity. Ruuben can relay his memories to people, as well as taking a look on other's memories as well. However, this is really conditional- it all depends of how strong-willed the person can be. If the person is stubborn enough, they can actually resist him from even reading their mind easily.

❇ Spirit Link - Ruuben and his talking snake familiar Sirpa are very connected to each other. They can share each other their vision regardless of distance and can telepathically talk to each other. However there's a catch: if one of them gets hurt, the other will feel the exact pain. Also, Sirpa can possess Ruuben if she wishes to control his actions, but the levels of awareness regarding the posession varies. This only happens when things get tense, though, and Sirpa usually just possess Ruuben and just do nothing- as if simply residing inside him. Also, because Sirpa is a spirit she cannot be killed and if she gets heavily injured her spirit flees inside Ruuben's body to heal.
