For some reason, for the first few days Mel believed that shrinking down to her two-inch self would help with her sleep troubles, but a couple of weeks in and she found that was...so not the case. And now she was pacing inside the lounge, wondering what exactly made her so hopeful of that fact. Maybe it was because it was first real "action" that she'd seen since waking up and starting real trainee duties. Maybe it was the very literal new perspective of the world all around her. Maybe it was...well, no...the giant bugs and rodents were most definitely the stuff of nightmares regardless of her size.

The blonde sighed heavily as she paced, suddenly wishing she could sit peacefully inside a bubble bath to think things through the way she used to. Back before Day Zero, when she thought life was decent but could definitely be better. If she had had any idea the how much worse things could get for her then she would have been more grateful for everything she had, and then some. Clean water, a reliable coffee maker, and, of course, Netflix.

"What I wouldn't do to get my hands on the current season of Criminal Minds..." the girl mused, finally plopping down beside a grounded throw pillow. She leaned back against it and heaved a sigh. "And a shower...or a bath...ooh, or a good night's sleep..."
