Sailing in One Piece is the world's primary source of transportation. With the world being 90% water sailing is an art passed from father to son. To sail one must first understand the core stats behind the action.

Speed: The time it takes you to complete an action within combat, I.E. Dropping the sails, Raising anchor, Arming the cannons. Speed also governs the speed that the fired cannon is traveling. Each action takes an entire post to complete, when reaching speed markers of 100, 200, so forth. You'll be able to complete more actions aboard the ship within battle posts.

Navigation: Ships Speed, and overall maneuverability. When comparing the speed of a Person vs. the Speed of a ship. Take the Ship Captain's Navigation stat and multiply it by 10.

Reaction: The determiner for which RPC's can react to the ever changing current, but also how near/far they can detect enemy attack.

The RPC's combination of these 3 stats equate to the character's ability to sail.

Moving from location to location

When sailing from Blue to Blue RPC's must travel to atleast [3] different locations in the local [OCEAN THREAD] for one's voyage to be considered valid. If found abusing the system, RPC's will be sent back to the earliest port they last posted in, forced to complete their voyage again.

When sailing within [THE OCEAN THREAD] the crew must post at least once in an [OPEN OCEAN] thread for their voyages to be considered valid.

During their voyage each crew member must post at least [1] 200 word post at each location in order for the crew's passage to be considered complete, in addition to completing challenges/storms.

Ship Reinforcement/Repair

Ships just like any other object in the world eventually rust and fall to ruin. Several things can happen to your ship before you eventually need to repair it, but you will have to repair it.

Repairs are generally cheaper then reinforcing your ship, but reinforcement goes a long way.

Small Ship Repair - Costs; 100,000 beli and takes [24] hours to complete
Average Ship Repair - Costs; 200,000 beli and takes [48] hours to complete
Medium Ship Repair - Costs; 350,000 beli and takes [72] hours to complete
Large Ship Repair - Costs; 500,000 beli and takes [96] hours to complete
Brig Ship Repair - Costs; 750,000 beli and takes [120] hours to complete
Warship Repair - Costs; 1,000,000 beli and takes [144] hours to complete
Galleon Ship Repair - Costs; 2,000,000 beli and takes [168] hours to complete

Naturally a ship can be broken once it's durability reaches 0, each ship has a durability rating based on it's grade. Durability is considered a ship's life points once your ship reaches below 25% health it is considered unsalvageable but still somewhat sail able. If a ship reaches below 20% it will begin the slow process of sinking to it's inevitable doom.

Durability ratings are listed below.

Raft/Loneman boat: 100
Small Ship: 300
Average Ship: 600
Large Ship: 900
Brig Ship: 1200
Warship: 1500
Galleon: 2000
