Akula was born in Wano and next in line on becoming a ruler of Wano Kuni. With a country of so much powerful warriors, he was inspired to be just like them. But he had a bigger vision. He wanted to be the greatest swordsman of them all. One of his travels, he was separated from his clan by a terrible storm. He has washed up ashore in the East Blue, Shimotsuki Village. That was when he was 10 years old. He spent his time and years living on the island training for the time that he leaves on his journey.

From his origin being in Wano, his ambition is great. He was separated when he was young and wishes to go home. Being surrounded by warriors he wishes to be strong and become the strongest swordsman in the world. After completing that goal Akula wishes to ruler Wano Kuni.
