CWF's Friday Night Throwdown program would return from a commercial break. The camera would be focused in on the announcer's table as they welcomed the viewers at home back to the show. A confused look grew on the lead commentator's face as he looked past the camera. The angle would switch up for the viewers at home, now taking a look at the ramp. Fans were very vocal, almost split in half as Aleks Mason marched down the ramp, already half way towards the ring. Producers backstage rushed, placing his graphics on the screen and playing his theme song, "Blind" by Korn v2, about 30 seconds into the song. The commentators expressed their confusion with the viewers at home as Aleks Mason was not scheduled to be out at this time. He made his way down the ramp alone, wearing his typical dark garbs. Mason was not here for theatrics as usual, making a quick and brisk walk towards the ring. He did not use the steel steps as usual, instead leaping up onto the apron and entering the ring. Aleks quickly walked across the 20x20 foot ring, requesting a microphone. Reluctant, a CWF crew member handed one off. Mason would remove the sleeve that displayed CWF's logo from the microphone, tossing it aside. He gripped the bare microphone in his right hand as he moved towards the center of the ring.
Mason would tap his fist on the microphone, making sure it was live and ready to speak into. His music faded away and the graphics that had displayed on the screen faded back to CWF's typical graphics. Mason's eyes lined up with the hard camera, not looking into the lens but instead past it. Viewers at home grew chills, as if he were not staring at them but into their souls. Aleks raised the microphone to his mouth, taking multiple deep breaths. He finally spoke. "My business partner.." Immediately as he spoke his first words in CWF, the crowd erupted in cheers. "Shut up. Shut UP!" Mason was not speaking as he normally did, pacing his words, a charismatic tone. He spoke with anger in his voice. "I am not out here for your cheers or your boos, so you sit right there, shut up, and listen carefully." Cheers became boos, but Aleks Mason wasn't looking for cheap heat, that was really how he felt. "You see, my silence in CWF wasn't due to the fact that I 'lost it' on the microphone.. no no. It's not because I had a lack of what to say, much to the contrary. I've had more to say now than ever. Upon my arrival in CWF I made a statement, not only by challenging Matt Gennison for his championship. I marched my way into enemy territory, with the opposing side's most prestigious trophy wrapped around my waist. And I entered the ring in which 6 men had just left their souls following a destructive match. I raised that title above my head.. and tossed it aside like trash. Allow me to explain my actions. Allow me to make them very clear. That championship that I possess is still the most prestigious title in Total Nonstop Wrestling HISTORY. When I tossed that championship aside, it was not the title that I was defacing, no, no, it was the company itself."
Mason took a slight pause, but would quickly pick back up where he left off. "Ever since I entered the business of professional wrestling I've had only one goal in mind. To main event WrestleMania, as many others wish to do. As the naive, young wrestler I once was years ago, Total Nonstop Wrestling Entertainment promised me that WrestleMania moment that every single person in this industry craves. The company as we all know went under. And I never got my moment. Then, from the ashes rose Total Nonstop Wrestling Federation, who begged me, begged me to sign with them. When I refused to sign full time they threw me into the abyss of low tier matches, and I never saw the light of WrestleMania. And as you all know, THAT company went under as well. Again, from the ashes Total Nonstop Wrestling Revolution was born, and once again I signed a contract they weren't very happy about. Needless to say, they didn't last long. You see, the problem with the TNW series of promotions, besides the hot potato game they play with the ownership, is they make false promises. When the company returned, so did I, and with that return came a full time contract. They promised me when I engraved my name on the dotted line that I would be in the main event of WrestleMania one day. They promised me my ticket to glory and fame when I was entered into the tournament where I won my Universal Championship. But you see that was the problem. They had no chance of making it towards WrestleMania. Through the false promises, the bounced checks, the talent leaving left and right, they could only produce three, maybe four pay-per-views a year."
"As you can imagine, I became desperate for the glory I was promised years ago when I entered this business. So I did what everyone advised against me doing. Though breaching my contract, I arrived in CWF and challenged their most dominant champion. A man I knew very well. When that didn't work, I decided my ticket to WrestleMania was clear. The Royal Rumble match would guarantee what CM Punk could never. My WrestleMania main event. However, this years CWF Rumble was littered with faces of the past, washed up nobodies who wouldn't stand a chance with me one-on-one. And corruption got the best of this company, with Triple H being involved. Triple H eliminating me was nothing but a FLUKE. He had no business being in the match in the first place. I'm still hell bent on getting my WrestleMania moment. I don't care WHO I have to go through. Stephanie McMahon, Matt Gennison, Shinsuke Nakamura, or that washed up DEGENERATE Triple H. I'm not leaving THIS ring until I get my ticket to WrestleMania." Mason would lower his microphone, staring deeply into the camera. A man of his word he stood still in the ring, not yet leaving.

Stephanie McMahon's theme song would hit the PA system after a couple of minutes of silence when the crowd was taking a moment to react to Aleks Mason's unexpected shoot promo. She would be walking out of gorilla from the backstage area with a concerning look on her face, seeing as though she did not give Aleks Mason the right, nor even the permission to mention a rival company's name in the sacred land of real professionalism known as CWF. Step after step with the crowd roaring and cheering for Stephanie despite her character being more on the "heel" side, it was rare of her to make an on screen appearance, which she did whenever it felt right of her to do so. She was rarely around in the backstage, always taking care of other business associating with the company, but post Royal Rumble she made sure she was here tonight, and Aleks Mason caught her on a good, yet---very bad day. After walking down the ramp to the sight of thousands upon thousands of people's cameras flashing and chants going off in different variations with the Universe letting their voices be heard, Stephanie would look to make it to the ring as she would be announced by the announcer who was at timekeeping. The announcer would announce Stephanie McMahon's name, as well as her role here in CWF, which would definitely be a higher up role in management. She would make it to the ring, whereas she would also take a turn and walk up the propped up steel steps up against the ring pole. One step at a time, Stephanie would then make it up on the ring apron, as she would then take a few steps, before coming in by ducking her head under the second rope, and stepping over the bottom rope, to come in. She would glare Aleks Mason in the eyes as he was standing there, knocking him with a heavy scent of her perfume and freshly scented hair shampoo, walking over to the other side of the ring to request a microphone, which she would instantly get because she was the boss, this was her show, and everything would've been ran accordingly at her will. After receiving the microphone, Stephanie would pace back and forth as her theme song died down and began to fade away to nothing. The crowd would still be on their feet, some in the front rows leaning forward with their arms on the barricade to listen in and get comfortable for what Stephanie had to say, because it was definitely gonna be good, and shouldn't be missed. And if it was missed, it would've been able to be replayed on the CWF Network for just a low, low price of $5.99. Stephanie would stand in place after the audience's noise level toned down, thus beginning to speak on the microphone."First of all, Alexander, you dare come into my ring, and deface CWF property by removing the logo-piece off of the microphone, the AUDACITY to stand in this ring and call the men who've paved the way for the community who've participated in the Royal Rumble match 'washed up', stand here and twist that inconsiderate egotistical tongue of yours and call my husband, a degenerate, and expect me to give you the opportunity to compete on the grandest stage of them all, WrestleMania? all because YOU haven't had your moment?" Stephanie would take a moment to soak in the reaction of the audience after looking around to see if everyone else was hearing and buying into the foolishness that came from the lips of Aleks Mason. "...And let me just say this. You lost your match against Matt Gennison. He OUT wrestled you at Survivor Series. You were OUT performed in the Royal Rumble match, and quite frankly, I don't think you'll be 'out' anything this time, because I don't think there's a spot for you on the WrestleMania card" Stephanie would say, shrugging off Aleks Mason, then putting her hands to her hips and lowering the microphone a bit her sides, staring into the eyes of Aleks Mason, waiting for a response.

Aleks Mason would stare down Stephanie McMahon, not showing a single expression on his face as she spoke. He listened to every single word, but couldn't wait to answer back. As she lowered her microphone, Aleks raised his and began speaking. "I was out performed at the Rumble? Really? Stephanie, do you really believe that? Allow me to remind you and every other person in your management that I single handedly eliminated both Roman Reigns AND John Cena, one after the other. And I was out-wrestled at Survivor Series? Do you watch your own program? Because I was in control during the majority of that match. Your company would only benefit from me being in WrestleMania's main event. And let's be honest.. I could put a better match on than anyone under your jurisdiction in this company. A better match than those washed up has beens of the past, a better match than both of your World Champions. Especially a better match than your husband. I know you're not stupid, Stephanie. No, definitely not stupid. Look around, you've created all of this, you manage this company to a Tee. You're not stupid. But you are a fool. You're a fool to even think about leaving me off your biggest show of the year." Mason would pause, staring into the furious eyes of McMahon. "I see through you. I see through this company. I see through it all. You're afraid. You're afraid of me getting my hands on one of your champions when the stakes are high, on the grandest stage of them all. And more specifically, you've seen my matches. You're afraid of the possible outcome if I were to step into a ring with your husband. Because let's be honest, he's not what he used to be. Me? I'm in my prime. Your husband, Matt Gennison, no body, is more dangerous, and destructive as I am."

After hearing Aleks Mason yap his mouth, going on..and on..and on...and on.. and on.. Stephanie would finally get her chance to speak once again, after she patiently waited for Aleks Mason to finish talking completely. "Congratulations. You eliminated Roman Reigns, and John Cena, both men who didn't see you coming. And as a matter of fact, I do watch my own programming. And from what I seen, yes, you did have the match in the palm of your hand.. but." Stephanie would say to look around at Aleks Mason's coat jacket around his waist area. "...Where's the CWF Championship? And quite frankly, there wouldn't be nothing foolish about leaving you off the show at all. Because let's face it, Alberto, when you left the company 7 years ago to become 'champion of the Universe', the company did JUST fine without you, and it'll continue to strive without you having to be in the title picture. So if I were you now, I'd get out of my ring.. now." Stephanie would say, with a serious expression on her face, as the audience would begin to "ooo" in business literally starting to pick up.

"The Wings of Icarus" Would play out through the PA system, with Matt interrupting Aleks Mason and Stephanie McMahon as the crowd's attention would quickly shift over to the stage and entrance ramp way with a loud cheer, as the ultimate underdog and babyface of the company world champion would finally arrive, after a grueling title defense at the Royal Rumble, Matt would show up with his championship around his waist with his jacket on. He walked out of gorilla position onto the stage to look around, being greeted by cheers and too sweet gestures, since he was still the current leader of the club, just most of his members were recently taken out and will be returning shortly. In his hand, Matt Gennison would have a microphone in hand, as he would just stand there on the stage. He would begin to speak. "Aleks... can you please, PLEASE shuuuut UP!" The crowd would begin to cheer and clap for Matt, saying something so effective, yet so simple that everyone could agree with. Matt would raise the microphone once more to continue to speak. "I understand your pain, Aleks Mason. I know what it's like to be left off shows, to be placed at the bottom of the barrel because we were supposedly not good enough, even though NIGHT after NIGHT we've busted our ASSES putting on 5 star performances, only to be placed in nothing matches, nothing feuds, and constantly getting close to that brass ring, only for it to be raised higher because guys like us? guys like us don't fit in with the Beasts.. or the Big Dogs.. or The Architects.. or the Demons.. or The Lunatic Fringes,.." Matt would say, taking a pause to look around at the audience as some would cheer, and have serious expressions on their faces because what Matt was saying was facts. But after a few moments, he would continue to speak."The resume goes on and on with Aleks Mason and the list of men he's beaten.. and so does it go on with Matt... Gennison. That is why..." Matt would say, as he would unstrap his CWF Championship and hold it up to his face with it hanging down. "...At WrestleMania...let's HAVE your moment..let's have OUR moment... You won't be facing Triple H. To you, he's supposedly too old for you? I'm in my prime just like you. That's why at WrestleMania.. there won't be any excuses. Because at WrestleMania... I WILL defend this CWF Championship against you! in a TWO out of THREE falls match! no excuses! What do you say...?" Matt would say, waiting for a response.

After Stephanie was interrupted by the music of Matt Gennison and he began speaking on the microphone, Stephanie would listen and listen until he was done. Once finished, she would begin to speak again. "Matthew, as heart felt and emotional that is, there's only two things I can say about that. One, do NOT interrupt me again, and two, I'm the one that makes the matches around here, however, I do like the sounds of that, but Aleks Mason isn't getting a shot that easily.. so here's what we'll do." Stephanie, after looking towards the rampway where Matt was, would turn her attention back to Aleks Mason, who was in the ring with her. "On Monday's show, you better lace up your boots, Aleks Mason. Because you're signed to a full time contract, and you're not just gonna be wrestling Pay-Per-Views. So on Monday, you're gonna lace up your boots, and face the WINNER of the 2018 Royal Rumble match, Shinsuke Nakamura for HIS WrestleMania ticket.. and if you win, you'll get Matt Gennison at WrestleMania."

Mason finally reacted to what Stephanie said, as she muttered his old ring name he face turned from stone cold to red hot, furious, disgusted. He was getting ready to respond, when Matt came out. Looking past Stephanie, Aleks listened to every word Gennison spoke, and when he made his WrestleMania proposal, Mason grew a grin on his face. However, once again when he went to speak he was cut off by Stephanie. His eyebrows raised at Stephanie's booking, but he was in favor of it. "Like I said, Steph. I told you.. I knew you weren't stupid. But, I'd advise you have an ambulance on hand Monday night." Mason would toss the microphone out of his hand, very happy with the results of his impromptu promo here tonight.
