The hallway was eerily large, and even worse looked about as dingy and questionable as it did the first day he had strolled through to his new room. The only problem with being small was you started to notice more things, like how there seemed to be even more dirt piling up along the crevices and how you hoped that a roach wouldn’t come skittering across the ground and realize that you could no longer step on it. Even worse the thought of the occasional rat peeping out to start some fight now that it was on even ground with a human being.
There was a voice, sort of muffled or maybe that just had to do with the fact that the hallway was much further apart from the door across that it was almost like yelling across a football field.
“Zane is that you?”
