Dusty dirty feathers! Moments of running into those nasty things grew too frequent in the City. Her beautiful home had one skulking around without fae wings! Stress of it all caused the home to be up ended one night and a call. The call to return to the Fae Clearing.
Convenience was nice, but when child's writhing on the wall said to go, you just go. Without much of a word, she packed up enough to handle a few days, grabbed her staff and a doll that soothed her. Stepping out of her home, the jewel of her staff glowed erasing all the angels and demons. If she couldn't see them they were not there.
Delicate wings flapped several times before she too to the air descending from her castle on high to a place she knew well. It was a familiarity that seemed to come from somewhere deeper than just the time she spent there when the whole island floated. Getting to the landing pad was easy, stepping foot on the ground familiar. Even if the HQ was no longer there, the place where it once stood was still fresh in her mind. That would have made a better home, everything one could ever need fit for a Queen.
Days of traveling both on foot and flying depleted her food sources by the time she had reached the Clearing. One step felt like the whole journey had fallen off of her, like an overly heavy wool cloak on the ground. Rolling her shoulders back, she walked among the Clearing soothed in a way her battled soul hadn't known in forever. Hours passed before shades of the past seemed to dance in her eyes, memories of the house form another age. Something called, something told her the way to go.
Full days walk bringing her to the foot of a village finally backed up the feelings there were no words for. Here she stepped into the village, eyes casting up at the whole world in the trees just as the sun rose to set everything alight. One call to her staff and travel weary fae looked refreshed and new. Shame it couldn't do anything about the smell of the road.

Another sunny day, another day of work. Dizzy loved work! There was always so much to do and the excavation site was coming along great. The helpful denizens of Sparks Hollow had dug up some of the buried fae past. So far, it was surmised they were digging up some sort of temple or palace. Whatever it was, it was huge. Dizzy had instructed her helpers to only dig to the edge of the clearing though. She dared not disturb the sacred grounds. There were strange feelings and activity the closer to the clearing they got with their digging.
But today the butterfly fae decided her work would be helping with some of the spring plantings. From the strawberry patch, there was a clear view of the road leading into town. A few fae laughed and shared a joke or two while planting the seedlings. Dizzy spotted a traveler on the road. "Gonna go for now. Great job on the gardens, guys."
Fluttering down from a tall tree, Dizzy smiled and waved to the visitor. "Hi! Welcome to Sparks Hollow, I'm Dizzy. Is there anything I can help ya with?"

Before Dizzy's eyes the green fae seemed to morph in a way that had nothing to do with her powers. Her blue eyes started to hold a wider set to them, her shoulders dropped and curved in almost to make herself look smaller. To the extent muscles could change a pae, hers did. Everything cast a look of youth found more in children then even the vainest adult would carry. "Where is my mommy? I wanna go home" Her question came in a tone wholly alien to the fae pitch was higher shaking with a primal fear. she trailed off with a Fae word not used in this time but sat naturally when she said it.
All at once, her shoulders straighten, her look set back in the regal elegance befitting one such as herself. Shaking her head and putting her hand to rest on her circlet a moment or too with just deep breaths she finally started to speak. This time her tone was that fitting her look, a little deeper but firmer without the shaking. "Got light headed a moment." As close to an apology as anyone would get she started as if this was the first time she'd said anything. "Pleasure to meet you, Dizzy. I am Morena. I haven't been near here in a long age. I felt drawn." Made sense this place felt more like a home then the City had in...well forever.
Dizzy's shade of pink reminded her of someone, a long ago someone but the thought was cast aside.Antidia Not at all it is wonderful <3

Dizzy paused and tilted her head a little to the side as she watched the bizarre transformation. "Are you okay, honey?" she asked, sweet and concerned. Speaking to the woman in front of her, she crouched a little to meet the eyes of the Fae. "I'm not your mommy, but maybe she's here?" The word following the question was familiar, but she couldn't place where she'd heard it before. Perhaps Joi would know. She's fluent in nearly all known languages, and likely some they don't.
The butterfly fae took a step back, straightening and almost tripping over a loose pebble. "I ... I'm sorry? Can I help you with something? Do you need a rest and good meal perhaps? We don't have specialized healers here so best you'll get is an herbal gumball. Not sure if that would help a light head."
"I'm glad to meet you, Morena. Welcome!."

Taking several minutes before answering, the Fae took the time to glance fully around. This place, it seemed to draw too many emotions for even her to hide completely. It was dangerous and yet inviting. What trickery was this? Regardless, dwelling too long wouldn't be smart. However, after being dragged here, rest would do well.
Deciding then, she answered, "Rest and a meal would be lovely, I could use a chance to clean up as well. The light-headedness should pass." Pass on more like but that wasn't likely to occur. What is it about this place that made it feel some how worse?

Dizzy watched the fae woman take in the village. She was quite proud of what her family had achieved in building this hollow. Ever so subtly, Dizzy moved from her toes to the balls of her feet in anticipation. It wasn't a long wait, but Dizzy is always excited to meet other pae. Morena had beautiful hair and it was hard not to notice. And she had a strange aura about her. Dizzy's not an aura reader or anything, but something just felt a little ... off. Not in a bad way, at least that's what Dizzy told herself. Always give pae the benefit of the doubt.
"I am glad you stopped in, we can have supper at my daughter's house, and meet some of my family. We'd love to have you. There is also an Inn over there that serves the best cinnamon rolls you will ever find!" She pointed in the direction of the inn, which had been strategically built near the entrance to the humble little village floor. On the ground level, Sparks Hollow looked like a quaint hamlet in the middle of the dense tropical forest. There were places for traders to do their job and a place for them to stay. There existed a little fairy-gram building for visiting pae to send messages to anywhere on the island. The fairies of the forest were more than happy to help!
One of the most distinguishing features on the ground level is a small river that runs down the middle. There are little bridges all over to connect the two sides of the village. The river provided a safe and easy way for the naiad and other aquatic life to navigate. There was even an Aquatl or two living there. The school also was tucked away into a grassy knoll.
There are also a few dwellings for those not wanting to live in the trees. Up high in the trees, under the canopy is a vast network of huts and brides and hanging gardens. Most of the village lived up there. Dizzy's son and daughter had renovated the remains of an old village that existed there a long time ago. Her daughter Lucia had been able to date the old huts over hundreds of years old.
"We're eating at my daughter Joi's house this evening. It'd be perfect because she lives at the base of one of the thick trees. I can show you around later too if you like." Dizzy waved Morena to follow her.
"Morena, have you traveled far?"

Her eyes drew upward, it wasn't surprising to see up there. For the few brief moments there was an almost innocent wonder, normally calculating eyes opened more. Her illusions were getting to her, for moments she could almost see fae flying up there. The secondary power told her what she was seeing wasn't real, transposed with the real lives moving about. Closing her eyes she put her hand on her forehead for several moments.
Drawn back to the pink fae, her game face settling back in for now. Oh, food would be lovely. "That sounds amazing, thank you for your welcome." After months and months of tense and often explosive anger, being around others of her kind washed away the tenseness in her muscles. This felt natural after all that item uncomfortable in her own skin.
Taking a deep intake through her nose, letting the air out again to pull her smile. "I would love to look around." Considering a moment or two she answered, "I traveled from the City most recently, before that it was a very long journey." The isle floated back when she was last really here. Losing the HQ had to be those feather brain and leather wings fault.

"Ooh the City! I've only been there a few times. But not recently. Not my favorite place. But I hear it is nice now. Some traders for the City come here once in a while. What's it like now that the island is in the sea?" Dizzy's mind wandered to the incident she'd had there many, many seasons ago before she married Vale.
"Joi's is just over the bridge, let's go." Dizzy rubbed her hands together to get some of the dirt from planting off. She flashed a meek little smile when she realized she was a little dirty from the planting.
The butterfly fae stopped for a moment on the bridge. She leaned on the railing and looked down in the small river. "The water is so clear. I think it tastes best here, but I might be biased." Dizzy giggled and pointed towards where the small waterfall was. "That is the source of our water. It's hard to see from here, but there's water flowing down the rocks that fill a deep pool. Lots of the water fae live there. I have a granddaughter that lives there too." Carrying on, the pink fae waved at a few pae as she walked by.
"Morena, have you much family?"
