Personality: Once a shut in and bookworm that devoured any literature that he could get his hands on. Fascinated by anything mechanical or magical. After his family's tragedy, he now puts on a sarcastic front with little patience for those who interrupt his work. He can still be seen keeping to himself whenever he is immersed in creating a new weapon or modification when sanctioned by the Academy.

Biography: Born Lord Ismet Percival Fredrickstein Von Musel Klossowski de Rolo IX, he was raised as any noble would: under strict tutelage of the ways of political intrigue as well as the quickest way into the favor of any one in higher positions through groveling. Headstrong by nature, he took such lessons without question but scorned the acrobatics that it took to simply get anything done through major powers of any given nation. Yet he found pleasure whenever the topic of machinery or the Runic Arts was involved. It soon became the sole reason why he endured such a boorish education.

The de Rolo family line was famous for Runic augmentation as well as being a major driving force to stopping the war, increasing the value and wealth of their lineage. With the location of their territory being within the capitol of Europe but at the far edges of its borders, it was ideal for the family to run business for clients of all types of morality so long as they had the proper amount of coin. For a time, the de Rolo family enjoyed peace and prosperity, doing the very minimal to help out Europe to put on a facade of being benevolent and sincere, while maintaining whatever they could in terms of wealth. Their actions did not go overlooked for long as an explosion annihilated their entire estate. Those that survived the initial blast were gunned down as they attempted to flee. Trapped underneath rubble, Ismet looked on in horror as one by one, those who were a part of his life were gone with each flash of light from a gun or even torn to shred by shadowy creatures. It did not take long for him to succumb to his wounds and fall prey to the darkness.

Ismet awoke in a small building to the sounds of clanging metal and the chatter of merchants. The building itself was simple with enough room for a living space, a personal bedroom, and a restroom. Essential furniture adorned the housing area along with a single note that read: You were given a second chance.

Years passed as Ismet rebuilt his life in Mako. Time and again he would be haunted by the memories of his family; his sisters, his brothers, his mother, his father and all it stolen away by the explosion. The torment was too much for him physically, his hair turned forever white; another sign of the trauma. Still he pursued his fascination with mechanics and Runic arts, landing an apprenticeship with a local machinist and soon becoming a well known machinist himself.

What was eerie, however, was that the world had seem to have forgotten his family. No one knew of the de Rolo name. Complacency almost persuaded him to forget his past and to live the simple life. Deep down, he could not forget, no matter how hard he tried to force himself to. After reaching the age of 23, he took the note he had awoken to and set out to the Academy. Where he would begin his journey to find who had torn his family from him and to pass judgement upon them.

Years have passed since Ismet's journey for retribution but his path has led him to dead ends. Scraps of clues lay before him but with no true way of connecting the pieces. All has not been lost, however, as he has managed to gain the favor of the Academy and became a professor on firearms in their institution where he bides his time teaching as he continues his own investigation.

-Ismet has created a mechancial mask akin to those of a Plague Doctor, which he utilizes in combat to follow the movements of mobile targets.
-Ismet's glasses, although standard in make, have a bifocal type mechanism with the extra lenses on their sides to allow him to see more details on whatever he is working on.

Shelf Life: Rose to the rank of Expert in the first year at the Academy. Currently undergoing debate to qualify for the rank of Master.

Body Rune Type: Runic Embuing

Passive: Complete control over applying his knowledge of Runes to a specific item. Quality of Rune is based upon the nature of the rune and the item being used.

Although he has vast experience with placing Runes on items, he prefers placing Runic effects on ammunition. However, he can only have one type of ammunition in a single weapon at a time. He must reload a new clip in order to use a different enchantment. A concentrated shot can be fired from his weapons at the cost of the entire clip's remaining bullets, enhancing a single shot even further.

Body Rune Abilities:

Absolute Zero:

Ismet's signature Runic enchantment.
This enchantment allows items to be enhanced with the power of ice, granting resistance to extreme cold temperatures while allowing molecules of certain structures to become more dense, effectively increase its durability.

Effect on ammunition -- Bullets fired are now covered by a thin layer of high density crystallized ice, allowing for more penetration power. If this bullet comes into contact with flesh, it will release the ice upon impact, freezing targeted area from within.
Concentrated shot -- Bullet will now cover impacted area, regardless of material, with a thick layer of ice that will then bury ice shards from the surface into the affected area several inches in.

Concentrated bullets: 1 bullet

Cooldown: 1 post to reload)


Cyclone Cast:
Items with this Runic enchantment have a small barrier of wind surrounding it. Depending on the intensity of the Rune, it can either allow the item to be completely silent upon movement or be able to deflect physical attacks aimed at the designated item but, in return, emit a gentle hum inaudible by normal means.

Effect on ammunition -- Bullets with Cyclone Cast now move silently through the air once fired, eliminating any noise that would otherwise be emitted from the weapon but warp the atmosphere in the bullet's path, allowing them to be tracked by keen eyes.
Concentrated shot -- Bullet will leave the weapon spinning with enough force to bypass most magical shields, cutting through completely with no shrapnel left behind.
(Lasts:
Normal bullets: 6 shots
Concentrated bullets: 1 bullet

Cooldown: 1 post to reload)


Ignis Influence:
Can be applied to armor for increased heat resistance while enabling weapons to produce an intense amount of heat for a short time, increasing lethality as well as penetrating effectiveness with metal.

Effect on ammunition -- Bullets fired will now be engulfed in flames as they travel, igniting flammable material upon impact while leaving behind burns on others.
Concentrated shot -- Bullets that make contact with a surface will now create a small explosion of several feet in diameter from the source of impact, burning those caught within the blast.
(Lasts:
Normal bullets: 6 shots
Concentrated bullets: 1 bullet

Cooldown: 1 post to reload)


Plasma Pulse:
Currently has no effect on anything but ammunition.

Effect on ammunition -- Bullets enchanted with plasma will leave the barrel as energy rounds, increasing their velocity and piercing through minor barriers with ease.
Concentrated shot -- This bullet leaving the barrel will emit a large flash and sound, akin to the sound intensity of a sonic boom. Upon impact, will atomize a small diameter of several centimeters, leaving a void wherever it reaches. This causes the weapon to be unable to use Plasma rounds for a prolonged time without risking damage to the weapon itself.
Normal bullets: 6 shots
Concentrated bullets: 1 bullet
Cooldown: 1 post to reload (A weapon can only use the charged shot once before having to return to the lab for repairs to be able to fire this type of charged shot again.))


Electro Emmitance:
Allows items with this enchantment to emit a pulse of electricity when struck as a defense mechanism or as an extra means of attack.

Effect on ammunition -- Bullets now carry within themselves a small force of electromagnetic waves, disrupting minor electronics within for a short period of time (1 post) upon impact.
Concentrated shot -- Bullet will leave behind a small field of electrical discharge of several meters, rendering most electronics within its field of effect useless until a short period of time (1 post).

World Runes


Classification: World Runic, The Frost Machinist

Rank: Intermediate

Shelf Life: While Ismet's mother was a Master Ice Runic, he choose to purpose knowledge of Body Runes. She was able to impart the basic knowledge of Ice Runes as well as her first necklace of Runes upon Ismet before her passing which he now uses comfortably as the years passed. Although he wishes to master Ice just as his mother did before him, he has no immediate intention to do so.

World Rune: Ice

Passive: Ismet is able to manipulate the water molecules in the air to crystallize and form ice structures to his whim.

Although magical in nature, the properties of the ice are no different from those found in nature, thus extremely vulnerable to intense heat and force.

Ismet has imbued each of his fallen family membes' names on his Runes, thus having to call their name in the ancient Runic language for them to be cast.

World Rune Abilities:

Glacier Shroud:


Ismet instantaneously creates a half circle of thick, dense ice that stands at 4 feet tall that surrounds his personal proximity, using it as a barrier from attacks to retaliate from.

Under duress, Ismet can push his limits and create a dome of 8 feet all and 4 feet wide with him at the center, shielding those from harm so long as the ice does not break. Such a feat takes a massive toll on Ismet's body, making Glacier Shroud no longer available until he sleeps.
(Lasts:
Normal use -- 3 posts (It can be destroyed with enough force or heat)
Pushed limit -- Only a few seconds once created, which will then disperse into vapor.

Cooldown:
Normal use -- 4 posts
Pushed limit -- Until Ismet sleeps and restores his energy

Slick Ice:

Ismet generates frost from his feet, freezing over the ground he touches, allowing him to slide along the surface at a faster speed than his running pace, increasing his mobility for it's duration. The ice left behind will dissipate immediately as Ismet travels.

Frozen Touch:


Ismet simply generates a harmless amount of ice from his hands, allowing him manage and handle items at extreme temperatures without burning himself.
This ability has no combat applications.

Shelf Life: Ismet has dealt with firearms since he was old enough to wield one. His father was a collector of such weapons and enjoyed taking Ismet out to relish in his collection, which Ismet happily took to as a reprieve from his studies. Ismet soon became skilled with firing pistols and a long range rifle, under the tutelage of his father, but became uninterested in anything else his father tried to teach him. So Ismet's father imparted upon him three firearms: the twin pistols, Discourse and Indictment, and the single shot rifle, Verdict.

After the murder of his family, Ismet relentlessly pursued his skills with the weapons his father gave him even to the point of impressing the Academy upon his application to their facilities. These weapons have become the pride and enjoy of Ismet on his path to revenge, his crucial tools to pass judgment upon his family's killer.

Firearm Type: Bullet

Discourse and Indictment: Twin pistols in the style of a Ruger SR1911 with a minor modification that allow them to fire Rune enchanted bullets. They can also fire regular 10mm bullets if the wielder chooses to.

Verdict: A sniper rifle in the style of The Intervention also with a minor modification that allows it to fire Rune enchanted bullets. Verdict can also fire .408 rounds if the wielder wishes.
