Profile page will take a backseat as we focus on updating towns and some other core features. Though we will continue to bug fix errors such as the multimedia links.

We have an idea on what broke the youtube link and will fix it shortly.

Text box extend is on the todo list, we just have quite a bit of issues to fix before getting to the to do list unfortunately

The avatar arenas will be fixed very soon. There might be a new arenas in the future, but that project still have a lot more work to be done.

There are a lot of international gaians on the site and having all the promotions/announcements in the gaia time can be difficult for us to figure out when things are happening.
I would 100% LOVE if there was a clock page somewhere on gaia, that would just tell us what the time was for gaia HQ, so we can easily figure out how long the discounts are up for, or when the popcast will be happening.

When will teleporting to friends in towns 2 be possible again? I can't even hang out with my buddies there anymore because I cannot find them. When I open my phone in Towns 2 it says they are all offline when they really aren't. This has been an issue for weeks please help.

I was working on this yesterday. The old server put all the players into one bucket and I could get the information of where everyone was. The new server is much more efficient and faster and to do that efficiently it only deals with the data for the people in that room.
That is going to be complicated to fix if it can be done. We are planning to have a new towns soon.
So if I am in Alpha I should still be able to teleport to others in alpha and vice versa with other rooms like Beta, Omega, and etc?
No. When I say room I mean somewhere like the market. If you are on the market on Omega for instance, the server can give you all the info on all the other avatars in the room. If your friend is in the next room, say the docks, I can't access that information.

So that means it might not be fixable huh, also is there any more info on this Towns 3 you speak of? Is there going to be more locations? will we be able to move our houses to it since no one can teleport to our houses anymore if it cannot be fixed?
Teleporting to your house should work.
We have not made any plans. For myself, I'd like to make it a little simpler so we can get a really fast working towns and maybe put it on mobile. I'm sure we will ask for suggestions before the planning. I have to finish a few things before I start working on it, but I'm really excited to start!
Hmm, strange because if that was the case I should still be able to teleport to my friends' neighborhood or house but it seems I cannot, could you look into it? if we could at least be able to teleport to other's neighborhoods and houses then most users could deal with it.
Good idea. That I can do. Oh! on that menu at the ship? I forgot about that. Yes, I had to write a new module to go to houses. In the meantime you should be able to add ?house=xxxxx to the end of the town's url where xxxxx is your pal's user id.

I haven't been able to use Towns 2 or any of the other Flash worlds for several weeks. All I get when the window opens is a blank white screen beneath the address bar that doesn't go away - no loading pages or universe menu, nothing but whiteness that doesn't go away until the window is closed.
It's been like that for several weeks at this point, and it started around the same time as the server upgrades. I am NOT the only one experiencing this problem. Several of my friends have been posting about it on their status feeds. So, is this a known problem, is anything being done at all to fix it, and can you give us an ETA?

I need more information! are you able to load any of the games like smashblocks?
Now that you mention it, no. I noticed the exact same problem happened when I tried playing zOMG!, and I didn't think to mention it in the first post. Just tried loading up wordblitz and smashblocks - no dice.
So it sounds more like a flash problem than a towns problem. You may have flash disabled somewhere. Are you able to see flash on any other site?

A lot of Gaians including me miss the old chat for Pop Square Live,
it didn't require Gaians to register for a third party account and login etc.
Everyone simply got their Gaia username as their chat username.

We will be refreshing old flash games this year, though not sure if we can convert aquarium as it has so many flash content that is difficult to convert to HTML5 properly. We will however up the reward amount pretty soon.
it's such douchebaggery that they're discontinuing flash in a few years. ;_;
I know what you mean. I spent 15 years of my career on flash! However, after learning a few more things I'm ready to move on. It means a lot more efficient less laggy and mobile applications!

Lanzer answered, saying that he would need to double check with the art team, but I hadn't seen any sort of additional response to this. I'm curious if there's an update about these on whether or not they'll return so we can complete our quests? Thank you~

The art team said that they were going to add them back, I didn't get other details at that time. Let me check back with the team on this one.

Yeah I've spent some time looking into that one. Got side tracked with some image related issues but I should have that fixed pretty soon.

Hello. I'm fully aware that this is not a priority, but could you please see if you can update Word Bump a bit? Because, with platinum, it's kind of rewarding again and also I always liked it.
The game has a problem that makes it almost impossible to complete it: after the second item grant bonus, it starts becoming slower and slower, level after level. However, the timer is the only thing which doesn't become slower, so at some point you almost have no time left when the letters finish falling at the start of the new level. This is not a recent issue, I've known the game being like that since my first days in Gaia.
Also, i was thinking that you could update the items that one can win in the game. Like, it could give Charms, Kin potions and Alchemy components maybe.

um, what I mean is, that I can't compile that game anymore because it is too old. A lot of my year will be spent replacing older dusty flash content with shiny new HTML5 content and certainly, that will include word bump.
