A bar on one of the main streets of the illustrious capital, it is not known by any name other than "bar". Its patrons have numerous names for the bar, and they all know it is the best place to meet the famed heiress. While it is far from good for her enemies to know this, it doesn't stop the notoriety of the bar. The drinks keep flowing, the patrons keep their boisterous laughter, and the atmosphere is always at top notch. The stairs that lead below the bar, which the door is located, is the saloon. Those who are working on patrons cannot drink, though the rule is sometimes broken, and it is the best shave one can ask for. {Set in the Netherlands}

Alessa Lamora
The Star Lord

      Alessa leaned back in her chair, rocking slowly on the back legs. It wasn't very grown up or lady like, but she didn't seem to care. Many of the patrons would shoot her odd looks and the occasional sideways glance. It was to be expected. Most of them were wearing suits or designer clothes and she was wearing jeans and an old t-shirt, with a hoverboard learning up against the wall behind her. The board itself was probably causing some of the glances. It was clear that it was an older model, and one that had seen more than its fair share of usage. The edges were dented, tape and other materials covered cracks along its length, and a slight trail of smoke was still exiting the compartment that stored the reactor.

      In front of her sat an empty chair. As usual, he's probably nose deep trying to make some kind of new runes. I hope he gets here before one of these old dirtbags tries to make a scene. She reached across the table, picking up a fizzy drink. It was some kind of fruit flavor they said came from America. Orange or something like that. The price certainly made it seem foreign.

                                                              Nathanial slowly walked through the door leading into the bar Alessa asked him to meet her at now that she was in the main city he was staying in, looking around subtly before making his way over towards the table he saw her at. She was like he always remembered, wearing worn out looking clothing, keeping the same hairstyle she had when he originally left their village, hell even the way she sat was exactly like she used to. Shifting his gaze around to the other patrons that kept giving her strange looks, he allowed a cold smile to stretch across his lips before he strode forward towards her, his tall figure towering over most of the tables and booths around them. He wasn't a super well known person around in the city, since he kept to himself most times unless Geoff needed his help with a rune or tweaks to his cybernetics, so most of the people didn't pay much attention to him past glancing at him when he passed by them.

                                                              After a few steps he arrived near Alessa, looking down for a brief second before sitting across from her, his legs stretching out under the table as he did so. He saw she ordered some strange looking drink, orange in color and fizzy in texture; but he paid it no mind and instead flagged down the server in order to get a menu to look at. His ethereal green eyes shifted up to Alessa briefly before he spoke in greeting. "Sorry I'm late, was doing some last minute tweaks to my runes which involved more trial and error than I anticipated. I see you found something to try already, is it any good?" Unlike around most people that he spent time with, Nathanial allowed a normal smile to appear, watching her briefly before glancing back down at his menu to try and decide on something to order.

Alessa Lamora
The Star Lord

      Alessa watched as Nathanial tried his best to walk up casually. He was giving the other patrons that usual forced smile as he tried to blend in and walk past them. He never really blended in, but that was likely due in part to the fact that he towered several inches above most of the other people in the room. She took another sip of her drink, still trying to pin down what she could compare the flavor too. It was sweet like an apple, but at the same time it was a little more acidic. She stirred the straw around in it, watching the bubbles inside it rise to the surface.

      Eventually, Nathanial was able to made his way to her corner table, finally dropping the fake facade he had been presenting to the rest of the bar. She smiled at him as he took a seat. He seemed different than he had been in the village. He was clearly older and more mature, but at the same time, he seemed tired, like a battery that couldn't hold a charge any more. He did his best to put it off and order a new drink while asking about her own drink. "Its supposed to be an orange. Who woulda guessed the fruit is named after its color huh? It's pretty sweet too." She reached for her own menu as Nathanial browsed his own, looking for something to eat. She didn't want to say anything, but he was almost an hour late and she had in fact been through at least three of the fizzy orange drinks.

      From behind the menu, she peaked her eyes over at Nathanial. "So what have you been working on so hard? Has the great writer finally found a rune that can stump him?" It was rare, but she couldn't afford an opportunity to poke fun at Nathanial. Even in the village, he liked to pretend he was the greatest rune writer in the world. That title probably belong to some old fart in the Academy.

                                                              Glancing up at Alessa again as she spoke about the drink before her, Nathanial nodded his head; growing up in the village like they did the luxuries like exotic fruits and drinks were basically non-existent. There was a few things they had that would be considered a luxury, but at the same time their "luxuries" were just common things in the main cities. Shifting his gaze upon the server he ordered a simple drink to start, asking for whatever they had that tasted good or was strong. Despite his usually composed and calm attitude, recently he'd been spending so much time working on his new runes that he almost never got proper sleep or hell even ate properly. Half the time he'd just power through a night of research, sleep two or three hours then wake up and work on either Geoff's cybernetics or test new runes on the man to see how they worked out. For most people they'd most likely be exhausted all the time, however for him it was just another day.

                                                              This lead to a lot of situations like now, where he honestly didn't know what time it was anymore, if not for the fact that he was close to Alessa he probably wouldn't have even shown up. After so many days of skipping sleep or sleeping at odd times his sense of time as a whole was almost nonexistent, to the point where he'd missed a lot of appointments because of it. Reaching up to rub his eye briefly, the man glanced up at Alessa once more, the girl speaking to him and asking about his most recent piece of work that was keeping him up so late. "Stump me? Perhaps... I've been working on it for almost two weeks now. It's designed to increase the natural strength and density of the human flesh and bones, in an attempt to make them able to stand up to attacks from the werewolf creatures and shifters without dying quickly. The main problem lies in how to actually design and infuse it to where it enhances enough to make it effective without overwhelming the muscles and bones. The last thing I need is to have someones entire skeleton shatter because I configured the rune improperly." Much like a crazed scientist speaking about their work Nathanial was quite vocal about his problems and thoughts about his current project, to the point where he was almost like a different person entirely.

                                                              While he still came across cold and aloof to most people, there was also a noticeable fire lit within his eyes indicating how passionate he was about his own runes, especially ones that would allow others to fight off the beasts easier. It would make combat with Geoff more fun also when they spar, since one man had a cybernetically enhanced body and skeleton and one was merely a human who could employ strength and reflex runes to last longer in a fight. If not for his proficiency in martial arts and close quarter combat he would most likely lose every time almost instantly against the man anyways, so it usually worked out well enough for them both to break a sweat, or break an oil in Geoff's case.

All the while, she continued to listen to Nathanial as he recounted his difficulties trying to create new runes. As always, her take on the problem was far different than his. As the waiter returned with her drink, she gave Nathanial her thoughts on the rune. "Well, instead of trying to do it all at once, why don't you split it up? Why don't you make them all different runes? Like make a rune to make people's bones hard as s**t and then make one that turns them into Superman. Making it two different ones may take more time, but it should work right? I don't know anything about that stuff though." She held out her hand, displaying what appeared to be a white ring. "These babies are all I need."

                                                              Raising an eyebrow at Alessa the man leaned over slightly to shift his body around, giving him room to prop his cheek up with his fist as he looked at her while she spoke. He knew she wasn't well-versed in Body Runes, so it was somewhat surprising to him that she was giving input past blankly staring at him like most people do when he goes into his rune tangent discussions. Admittedly her advice made sense, the only downside he could see is that having that many runes active on the human body would quickly strain the muscles and bones. Scratching his chin in thought he closed his eyes, leaning back for a moment before opening them again to look at her. "That would work in theory, it would just overtax the human body and most likely damage the muscle or bone structure. I'll just have to do more research and testing on Geoff later." Chuckling at the thought of using Geoff as a guinea pig the man reached over, grabbing his drink from the waiter as they walked by. It was just a generic fruity drink, not too bad but also not something he would get again. Looking back at Alessa he gave a slight smile, deciding to put aside his problems with his Rune to ask about her. "How have you and the tribe been lately? I haven't had time to come visit, is everyone doing good?"
