CYO snails are only available when there is a CYO event. These snails are not show or racers. Instead, they're breeders. This means they give a +1 baby perk per CYO parent in a breeding. There will never be egg or baby stages of the CYO base. Babies from CYO snails will always be rolled as racer or show snails.

Rules Follow Gaia's rules and ToS. Follow all main shop rules. Do not edit the base in any way. Snails need to be transparent png files to be certed. You may color yourself snails, but the certing fee is double the fee for coloring them for other people. You may color as many snails for yourself or other people as you have funds to cert. Snails colored for sheepcakes, Lillypuff, Glass Pomegranates, Snail Society Teddy, Snail Society Tommy & Snail Society Tabbitha are free to cert. Do not color snails for anyone on the black list. The certing fee can be payed by the colorist or the owner, if you plan to pay for snails you color please tell the recipients to avoid trade confusions. To cert a snail, post the filled out form in this thread, and then send a trade to sheepcakes by clicking this ezpz link here. The certing fee is: 100 platinum per snail that you did not color for yourself. 200 platinum per snail that you did color for yourself. You may offer someone Gaia gold/platinum or items to color you a snail. Please remember that no means no, do not beg, wheedle or whine if someone says no. This goes in general, and is not only applied to offers of payed snails. sheepcakes will not color snails for individual people, however if she has time she may color snails to raffle off. Do not use mules to abuse any rules. You may color snails for your mules, but the certing fee is still 200 platinum per snail to cert. You may also color snails for other people's mules as long as none of that person's accounts are black listed here. Snails must be individuals, that is you may not color one snail and give it to multiple people or cert it multiple times. You may make twins/triplets/quadruplets/etc, but at least something must be changed between them. Multi-birth examples: // // // different colors // marking colors different // markings slightly different // swapped colors You may make batches of snails and gift/game them off in the mane thread. Snails may only be colored in February, but I'll give you until the end of March to get them posted for certing.

How to color snails First download one of these bases. They are both the same, the only difference is file type. psd base - gimp xcf base For Gimp users, you can easily swap colors here is an image that shows you how. First you use the color picker to pick the color you want to change, and then you go to "Colors" --> "Map" --> "Color Exchange" to pick the color to swap it to. Use the "Duplicate Layer" function to make a copy of a layer, then swap the colors again and use the eraser to delete bits off the top layer for designs. This way you can preserve the shading while making markings. You can make a new, empty layer (make sure it is transparent) and draw something on it (like a star) and then use "Rectangle Select Tool" to cut the star, then look at your brushes and pick the newly cut out star (it will be the very first thing on the top row) and then use your eraser to cut out that shape to create markings/patterns. Layer opacity and eraser opacity are fun to play with. Remember to color the eyes. I'm sorry, I do not have paintshop or photoshop so I do not know how to do any of these things in them.
