We know two things for certain
1. The document used as the basis for the FISA warrant to investigate Trump's supposed Russian connections comes almost entirely from Roger Steele "piss-gate" memo, that alleges Trump got prostitutes to pee on him in a Russian hotel the Obamas stayed in. This document has been widely discredited, and likely wouldn't have been admissible in a public court of law. However, due to various FISA court members approving it behind closed doors (as what happens in FISA courts is classified from the public), they used this evidence to attack Trump before the election and spy on him, basically akin to watergate by using this as an excuse to do opposition research. Basically, the Trump Russia investigation is based on an obviously false document, and the whole foundation of investigation is now obviously bullshit.
2. The document itself wasn't just fake, but was paid for by the DNC, meaning we have a clear conflict of interest as well. The creator of the document can be quoted as saying h "was desperate that Donald Trump not get elected and was passionate about him not, being president " and leaked this fake document to Yahoo news himself, without revealing that he fabricated the whole thing. "This article does not corroborate the Steele dossier because it is derived from information leaked by Steele himself to Yahoo news. The page FISA application incorrectly assesses that Steele did not directly provide information to Yahoo news. Steele has admitted in British court filings that he met with Yahoo news- and several other outlets- in September 2016 at the direction of Fusion GPS. Why a document paid for by the DNC was used as evidence is questionable in it's own right, which shows evidence of bias and conflict of interest by the Democrats in the FISA court's decision.
General information
In short what this whole thing is about, is a document which is widely regarded as completely false, the "piss-gate" dossier, was bought by the DNC and used as evidence for the Russian investigation in to Trump and the Republicans. The foundation of the Mueller probe in to Trump was based on this dossier, which proves the Russian investigation is obviously false, and on top of this was leaked and created by Roger Steele, a very biased individual who was paid by the democrats to do this obviously. This means that the DNC paid for a document that was later used as evidence by the FBI in to Trump. This is a clear conflict of interest, as evidence the democrats paid for isn't exactly ideal for use in court, and it's a wonder how it got used at all; the only likely answer is corruption. This document would have never stood up in the open court of law, and should have been inadmissible as evidence. However, as they used a secret, classified court of law, known as the FISA courts, to get it passed, the public never had the ability to scrutinize their memo, and the entire basis of the Russian investigation is based on a widely discredited and now disproven document claiming Trump likes to be peed on. No seriously, that's the "piss-gate" document their using as as basis for an investigation in to Trump. How did something like this get approval, you might ask? Well, corruption, and the fact they never thought it would be leaked to the public. Also if it wasn't obvious already, the entire basis of the Trump-Russia investigation, designed to make Trump look bad before the elections and after, is complete bullshit, and based on a document that claims Trump likes being peed on by Hookers. No literally, that's what the whole thing was based on.
This information is only being released to the public now because the documents used in court to go after Trump were made classified by FISA courts. FISA courts are essentially secret tribunals you can use to get arrest people or get warrants, something people have saids is capable of being abused and susceptible to corruption. Lo and behold, the democrats used FISA warrants based on documents they never thought the world would see to spy on Trump, despite it being obviously fake information. No court of law would ever accept this document as evidence against Trump, especially given that it was paid for by the Democrats, but FISA courts are done off the books, so the public had no way to know how shabby the information was. Basically, they use a s**t and clearly fabricated document to give themselves the ability to Spy on Trump, a document everyone knew was false, and the Democrats paid to have produced. The only reason this was a secret was that it was done in FISA court, rather than in public where everyone could see how insane the democrats are. This was clearly used as a measure to spy on Trump.
The document in question, the "piss-gate dossier", was produced by Roger steele, a man paid by the Democrats to release a document which was later used as the foundation of the investigation in to Trump's supposed russian connections. If it wasn't obvious by now, Trump obviously is not a secret russian agent, and this document which was used as the basis of the Mueller investigation in to Trump, is obviously bullshit. Here is an excerpt from the FISA memo ""The Carter page FISA application also cited extensively a September 23, 2016 Yahoo news article by Micheal Isikoff, which focuses on Page's July 2016 trip to Moscow. This article does not corroborate the Steele dossier because it is derived from information leaked by Steele himself to Yahoo news. The page FISA application incorrectly assesses that Steele did not directly provide information to Yahoo news. Steele has admitted in British court filings that he met with Yahoo news- and several other outlets- in September 2016 at the direction of Fusion GPS. Perkins Coie was aware of Steele's initial media contacts because they hosted at least one meeting in Washington D.C. in 2016 with Steele and Fusion GPS where this matter was discussed."
"Before and after Steele was terminated as a source, he maintained contact with DOJ via then-Associate Deputy Attorney General Bruce Ohr, a senior DOJ official who worked closely with Deputy Attorneys General Yates and later Rosenstein. Shortly after the election, the FBI began interviewing 0hr, documenting his communications with Steele. For example, in September 2016, Steele admitted to Ohr his feelings against then- candidate Trump when Steele said he "was desperate that Donald Trump not get elected and was passionate about him not, being president." This clear evidence of Steele's bias was recorded by Ohr at the time and subsequently in official FBI files but not reflected in any of the Page FISA applications."
