Eddie was sitting on a rock over looking the road. Not just any road. No this is where life changed for him and his brother. The site where the car crash was that caused the beginning of Eddie's troubles. He only recalled some of the accident. He remembered seeing the other driver swerve into their lane and the impact but not much more than that. He wasn't even sure if Ryder survived. He was scared to know. But not knowing was torture as well. He had been serching but no real leads. It not like he could read hospital record dispite being able to eaisly access them now. Ever since that day he had been wandering. Not a normal wandering, no he seemed... differant. People couldn't see him unless he tried to make them see him but then they just freaked out and ran away. He could just appear somewhere with just thinking about it. Heck he had even stopped back in Paris a few times just to see if his brother was there. Eddie wasnt too sure what he was anymore. If he had died in the accdent at least it didn't hurt. But at the same time would one have known right went they died? Ugh it was all too much. He sat there rubbing his face in an attempt to cool his anxiety about it all.

Eleven months. Fourteen Days. Nine Hours. That was how long it was since Ryder last stood in this spot. Shortly before having left town fleeing from the mutant hunters. He had been alone for this past year, after the accident and his two month in the hospital, he had little to expect what this stretch of road would look like. Looking around from the car the insurance company had paid for, he sighed. He didn't think he could drive any closer to that spot. Perhaps he could park it and walk the quarter mile from this gas station? "Yes, I think I will." He said as he parked his car on the far side of the lot. You can do this Ryder. He thought as he stepped out and started walking towards the scene of the accident. It was a year and three months since his sixteenth birthday. The day of the accident. It was when Ryder's life fell apart. When he was released from the hospital he was alone. Eddie in a coma and their parents still in France. Then he messed up. A lose of control in his new powers caused him to have to leave town. A group of mutant hunters on his trail. He had heard of them before and it wasn't a shock for him either. But he never expected to be one of the ones being hunted. Soon he disappeared into New York City where he met Marcel, another mutant who upon learning of Ryder's predicament gave him his contact information to stay in touch and to help the boy out when he could. Ryder had refused to let the man do anything more. So Ryder stayed on the run, dodging the hunters and moving from one place to the next. A week ago he had gotten contacted and informed that the mutant hunters base was out of commission and he should be safe for a time. And that's what brought Ryder back to town. Back to this stretch of street. Back to the scene of the accident.
With one final intake of breath Ryder stepped around a curve and saw the spot it happened. And there nearby on a large rock sat Eddie. Ryder froze. His brother was there. But he had been in a coma? He was still wearing the same clothes from the day of the crash... But it was Eddie, staring at the spot the car had landed some feet away. "Eddie?" he said shocked. Brushing a stray strand of bright red hair from his face. He'd dyed it from his brown color his brother had last seen to help hide himself. But his brother would surely recognize him.

Eddie wasnt sure why he kept coming back. It made him sad and he be depressed. This time however it was worth it. He was surprised to hear his name. He didnt even need to look to know who it was. He turned to see Ryder, who while looking differant looked the same. Sure his hair was differant but it was as unruly as it had always been. "Holy s**t, Ryder!" Eddie said scrambling up. He could hardly belive his eyes. Hell he wasn't even sure what to say. He had never thought he actully find Ryder. But he was found instead. Just by his face he could tell Ryder had seen and experienced too much. What could have happened to him?
